I just did the stupidest thing just now! I was backing out of the driveway to go and get some ice cream and wasn't paying any attention and hit Steven's truck. His truck has a small scratch, but my left side bumber is dented in and the top is dented in too and the taillight is shattered. I am so so so stupid! I'm sitting here crying thinking about how stupid and careless I was. Normally I am way more cautious then this! I learned my lesson the hard way.

I'm so sorry... I did something like that a long time ago. I was in HS or just out and was backing out of the driveway. Somehow I hit and moved the gas meter!!! :scared1: I called my mom hysterical then called the police dept. they sent the police and fire dept and told me I had to go house to house in the neighborhood and evacuate everyone. They were afraid the gas line was ruptured and it would blow!!! Thankfully nothing like that happened but to this day I hate backing out of the driveway!!

I think I'm up to about 50:rolleyes1 yeah, we were at Mikes parents to help them clear the driveway and I came in and they were like...so we hear you like to play w/Mikes butt:lmao: :rotfl: :lmao: omg... that was a little embarassing!!! My x IS a headache! I'm sure that helped cause it....I think its the weather too... must go back to FL :rotfl: That is too funny they sent the heating pad to Michele. Oh...I would be the same way w/the Disney monopoly game. I'll have to get that one of these days! So sorry you're still not wearing shoes:grouphug: I know exactly what you mean w/the crocks and snow:sad2: I slipped mine on to help Mike move my car in the garage so he could park the 4wheeler behind my car... BRRRR those are cold. Plus I wore them home the day we drove home from FL... They sure are comfortable though. I'm glad I broke down and bought some for our trip! Sounds like a great reason to stay off your feet for awhile;)

Nicole...great gift! What a lucky guy!!!

Kenny is telling that story to everyone now isn't he!! Too funny!

OH NO...:grouphug:  :grouphug: It'll be ok. Do you have full coverage insurance? They'll take care of it. Trust me, I've done those things a time or two too... hope this makes you laugh...when I was pregnant w/Kenny...I had to eat something w/in an hour or so of being up. I was racing out the door to get to work...are you ready for this... I started to back out and FORGOT TO OPEN THE GARAGE DOOR!!! talk about DO'H!!!! Blonde moment...whatever... but I did it! I just put a TINY scratch on my car...but the garage door:rotfl: it wasn't so lucky! I called and they came out immediately and it ended up not being THAT bad...but I still get harassed about that one! It'll be ok. we all have those moments. As long as YOU are ok...it will be alright!

How sweet! you're making me hungry:laughing:

stayed in FL...that is EXACTLY what Kenny said today at dinner...w/all this snow...we should have just stayed at wdw and played. Then Mike reminded him I had to go to court or maybe we would have stayed a little longer. Esp. if I would have known he wouldn't have missed much school:rotfl: This week they've only gone Monday... and not sure if they'll go Friday. Lucky kid!!!

That poor garage door...now what did it ever do to you?:rotfl2:

I'm with Kenny, you definitely should have staying in Florida!

I forgot to tell you about Madison's 100 day project. Yesterday was suppose to be the 100th day, but with the snow day that made today the 100th day. So on top of their Valentine's Day party they showed their projects. Hers was definitely a hit! She was so proud of it! She said she told her teacher how I put it on the computer so my computer friends could see it and how they all really liked it.:lmao: My computer friends!:rotfl2:

Are you computer friends 'imaginary'?:surfweb: :rotfl2:
I'm glad Maddie's project was a hit!!

Your dinner sounds really good!:cool1: Ooh, the strawberry sundae looks really yummy!
Donna, I hate to say it, but your ticker is really depressing me every time I see it!:guilty: :rolleyes1

Poor Brittany, she has been upset all day. She passed out valentines cards to all her friends and she only got one in return. She said most of them passed them out, just not to her.:sad2:

Poor Brittany...I swear I want to slap girls this age!! I would say move home and put her in my school; but the girls in her grade here are just mean!! There are some that are just rotten little divas!!

It just makes it seem so long ago since we were there!:sad1:

They girls said Happy Valentines Day, Donna! Then Madison just asked, whose Donna?:rotfl2: I told her, you know, one of my computer friends.:lmao:

In middle school they technically don't pass out valentines, the kids just kind of do it on their own. I hate it because kids get left out and then they feel like Brittany is feeling.

You forgot to tell her that Donna feeds you everyday! That would really confuse the poor thing!

Ashley...love the pictures!!!

I can't remember and I don't want to look it up...did I tell you that Nick is beyond excited...he gets his braces off next month!!! He can't wait. Iwas just excited that this was my last payment on the darn things. Of course I think Matt needs them again. Here we go again!!

I'm heading to bed.. Good Night everyone!!

Hope you had a lovely Valentine's Day!!

I had to make this 2 posts...I had to many images for one:rolleyes:

Happy Valentines Day to the Cliqueless Crew!!!!

I had to work early this morning but I had to dig my car out of the snow first. Plus, my front screen door is frozen shut, so I had to go around back and fight my way through the snow drift in a skirt and tights. Lovely.:lmao: I had a very busy, but successful day at work, then I had to go to the doctors' office for a photo shoot. I was teasing them about my sitting fee.:lmao: It is for a medical conference and I was one of the lucky ones to be chosen to be a "model"----can you tell I'm being sarcastic?? It was pretty humiliating, to say the least, but I got through it. I just don't want anyone to recognize me, but the nurse (who is so sweet and really get along with) was really careful not to take photos where anyone would be able to. I told her I'd better not see them on the internet.:lmao:

After this, I went over to my mom's for dinner. She had me, my sister and my niece and nephews over for Valentines Day since both my dad and my BIL are out of town. I think she is trying to get us all together as much as possible since they (my sis and her family) will be moving back to Florida fairly soon. Their house is on the market, so it's a pretty done deal this time.

So in review----

Ashley---thanks for posting the pics of our door Mickey heads----I'd forgotten to take a picture of it. I did bring it home for a souvie, though. Oh, and I actually didn't technically "sleep" in the bed, I just rested for about 20 minutes.:lmao: That doesn't really count, does it??;)
Great pics!!!

Michele---great castle photo!!! It seems as though we all got some very interesting perspectives on it. Wow, I sound really intelligent, don't I??:lmao: Sorry, I just read my comment and thought----:snooty: . Sorry.:dance3: Seriously though---I love how you captured the moon and the stars. Were they moving, or stationary?? I tried in October to get the Halloween lighting on the castle, but they were moving too quickly.
(see continuation below:3dglasses )

Donna----awww, "hearty" pancakes----how wonderful!!! Thank you!! And your card is very sweet!!
Where did you choose to go to dinner?? (eta---just read---yum!!)
I think my photography is pure luck, too.

Pozey---I'm sorry you are still unable to see the pics. Hurry so you can give us your expert advice. I know, you're a busy guy.
Good to hear Mr. P liked her perfume. How did Kayla like her card?? Obviously Colton is very confident.
I have always wanted to go to culinary or pastry chef (ing) ---did I just make that up?? -----school (in Paris, of course:thumbsup2 ), but like you said----very long and hard hours in the restaurant business. But, if it's your passion------I can see you on the FoodNetwork. Watch out Emeril.

Linda---aww, that Mike!!! That is so sweet that he proposed a year ago last night. And a surprise snowglobe too?? He's learned quite well!!
Good luck with the ex drama--again. When will he ever just give up?? No wonder you are getting these headaches. Feel better.
Ya know, as I was reading that recipe, I was thinking the same thing----I don't recall tasting pineapple, raisins or coconut. I know they say the raisins are optional (do you remember them??)-------but after thinking----the pineapple and coconut are what makes it "Polynesiany". Can Mike close his eyes when putting in the pineapple?? I'm not sure it would be the same without it.;) :lmao:
Please be careful if you try to go into work tomorrow!!!!

DznyFan---Sounds like Erin has a little admirer. She's so sweet to get him a gift and card as well. Like Michele said with Matt , that is such a formative time in their lives and someone can make it or break it. Erin obviously knows how to treat someone at any age with respect.
I'm not feeling too badly, thanks for asking. I felt alot better on vacation, though, but don't you always.:rolleyes1 :lmao: I am definitely back to my reality with treatments, bloodwork, doctors' appointments and everything else, but I suppose I can't avoid it forever. Sure wish I was sitting somewhere.......anywhere in WDW.:3dglasses

Yolanda---how was your day?? What kind of school party are you doing?? A Valentines for today??

Lyzziesmom---Oooh, Emma knows those pirates, doesn't she??? Put the treasures away so they don't pillage (?sp) and plunder, huh?? Smart girl.
She does look like she's having a very serious (hear the inflection in my voice:rolleyes1 ) conversation with Capt. Jack. Too cute!!
Ooh, be careful with the falling ice. I know you can't control it, but that can be so dangerous. I was worried a while back when we all had those terrible ice storms-----a woman got seriously hurt from a falling icy tree limb.

APRIL----you're here!!! Of course we notice when you're not, girlie!!! Congrats on the job and good luck with the training. When does Steven start his??
I love your picture!! I didn't even think about taking any of the special lighting they had on the ground. Wasn't there a princess crown somewhere in Fantasyland?? What was I thinking?? Or shall I say, not thinking?? Forehead slap!!

Amber----It's nice to be stuck at home as long as you have the makings for hot chocolate. After a while, cabin fever starts setting in, though. Be careful on that ice!!

Michele (oops ---again, sorry--you have to read two different places)----you mean you don't know Albanian?? I bet you can say the monorail montage in Albanian.:lmao: You could at least try and it would still be better than my attempt in Spanish.:lmao: You were my witness that it was pretty sad.:rolleyes1
Glad you had a day off. Back tomorrow?? Or another snow day??
Oh, that's so stinky of that girl to break Matt's heart at such a young age.
Yay for Nick and no braces. Yay for Michele for no payments. Boo for Matt and repeat braces. Boo for Michele and more payments.

OMG---Lesa and Michele---the HEATING PAD????!!!!! made it's way back to you????!!!!:lmao: :lmao: This is tooooo funny!!!!! Not if you get the bill, though!! Imagine what they charge for something like that?? I hope you don't have to find out. Maybe the bill could be sent to..................... BRANDON!!!!:rolleyes1

Lesa---your dinner sounds yummy!! 3 different types of lava cakes?? Great deals at Target. I may have to make a run this weekend to see what they have.
I bought a fancy schmancy cookbook as a souvenier for myself (cuz you can't go on vacation without one)-----anyway the 'Ohana Bread Pudding with Bananas Foster Sauce is in there that I shared with YM and Linda-----let me know if you want it----I'll PM it to you.
That's terrible of Brittany's friends/classmates!!! What ever happened giving valentines to everyone?? Hugs to her!!

Lin---darling cake!! Too bad it didn't hold up very well in the car, but I'm sure it still tasted scrumptious.
Your cruise/horse excursion does sound lovely!!! I'm sure you'll have quite the experience.

Nicole----Disney Monopoly---sounds good!!! I just may have to add that to my collection to go with my POTC Life game that I got for Christmas. I also saw a Haunted Mansion version of Clue, I think it was.
Have fun with your family. How long are they staying?? Or are they home for good now from Germany??
I don't mean to rub it in, but our dessert tonight was a DQ "chocolate covered strawberry blizzard" cake. My mom ordered it in advance and it was pretty darn tasty. I wish I could send you a piece.

Where's our banana dancin' Queenie????

Where's our banana dancin' Queenie????

Well...I'm not sure if this would be me:rolleyes1 ....but I'll just say I had a busy little day.

2xcited...your synopsis was so nice I didn't even have to go back to read all the happenings today.;) That dessert sounded like YUM!

I cooked tonight but ddin't even have time to make the my hubbies favorite pie. I'll do that on Friday...it will be a two part meal...dinner on Wed and dessert on Friday.

Donna...thanks for those pancakes!

Lesa...I'm sorry about Brittany and the valentines. I had to come home from school and call my ds's teacher about an event that happened at school today. I knew part of the "event" because when I arrived at his valentine party he was upset. He calmed down but boke down in the car on the way home with more details. I was not very happy with the situation and called his teacher to fill her in.:sad2:

Glad everyone seemed to have a good valentine...maybe I'll go back and actually read now.:yay:

You mean my synopsis was so nice and LONG???? I suppose I'm back to my record breaking posts.

Two part meal----what a lovely idea!!! I'm sure your DH won't complain.

Hugs to DS-----what's with these kids and valentines?? I feel so badly for them. Hope he is feeling better now.

It's night night time for me, YM---long day tomorrow--rescheduled treatment then work. I'll chat at ya later, chica.

Good morning, Crew!! The outside thermometer looks as though it's about 10 degrees outside!!:cold: (could be nine.) We need something to warm us up and get us going this morning.

How about the pressed pot of coffee at the Kona Cafe?
Kona2.jpg

..and a selection of pastries and fruit (notice the cozy fire in the background).

cont_breakfast.jpg

I hope everyone has a Thoroughly Thrilling Thursday!!!

Good Morning!

Donna, breakfast looks divine.

Nicole, I'm sorry about your car.

Ashley, love the pictures!

Lesa, poor Brittany. Kids can be such snots. I hope she's feeling better. I think it's great Madison wants to collect snowglobes. I started a few years ago. Mike bought me one for Christmas and the next year took me to pick out one. It was suppose to be a once a year thing, but...I now have close to 200 (small, medium, and large). That's why I had to start collecting pins; they take up less space!

I was able to leave the house today!! It was so scary though. I live down a small road that connects to another road at the top of a hill. So, you can't see anything coming on either side and just have to listen before pulling out. Dangerous, yes. Well, since our road is nothing but ice it's hard to stop. Add to that, the plow trucks piled snow in front of our road. Mike couldn't stop at all this morning and just pulled out. Luckily, nothing was coming. I should have stayed home though, as no one is here (except for my boss).

Have a wonderful Thursday!!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine's day! Today the girls helped me make a special dinner of spaghetti, french bread, and roasted garlic spread. For desert we had 3 different chocolate lava cakes!:cool1:
Wow. That sounds delicious! I love spaghetti!!

Oh, Nicole, I am so sorry this happened. :grouphug: Everything will be okay though.

I had to work early this morning but I had to dig my car out of the snow first. Plus, my front screen door is frozen shut, so I had to go around back and fight my way through the snow drift in a skirt and tights. Lovely.:lmao:So in review----
Yikes. That's a lot of snow. We had just a little dusting of snow overnight. Just enough to almost cover the ground. Nothing really. But it is bitterly cold this morning. Temps around 15 with a wind chill at zero or below.

Pozey---I'm sorry you are still unable to see the pics. Hurry so you can give us your expert advice. I know, you're a busy guy.
Good to hear Mr. P liked her perfume. How did Kayla like her card?? Obviously Colton is very confident.
Yeah, I think I might get a chance to log on at home tonight so I can see everyone's pictures!!

Pozey....how did Kayla like the Valentine???
Pozy: Sorry about not being able to see the pictures. We'll try to be more descriptive for you!:) How did it go with Colton's Valentine?
Well, Colton gave Kayla his Valentine’s Day card yesterday. But he didn’t get a chance to give it to her until right as they were leaving school. He said he didn’t get a chance to ask her if she wanted to be his girlfriend. He said he was going to ask her today. She liked the card though.

Good mornign everyone!

It's a lovely 7 degrees outside. Good thing I have coffee!

Nicole-- Your car will be fine and later on you'll look back on this and laugh!

Brittany--   It's hard at this age but it does get better, I promise!

Go Colton! I don't think I'm going to handle the "girlfriend" stuff very well. Hopefully I have a while before that hits!

I had a busy, but great day yesterday. Did my sons Valentine's party at his school. It went great! Then I made lobster for my Dh & I for dinner. Yummm!!!! Also, my husband heard back on that job he's been interviewing for and it looks like he's going to get it! They want to fly him out and talk about the details  It will mean big changes for us (moving and all) but it's a great opportunity for him. Anyway, don't want to say too much about it yet, I don't want to jinx it!

Well, I'd better take my kiddo to school and then go and earn a living. Have a great day everyone!

Donna, thanks for breakfast!! Kona cafe pressed coffee? Is it good?

I just had a near-death experience at WalMart!! Ok I might be exaggerating just a bit, but here's what really happened: as I was leaving the store, a huge chunk of ice - slightly bigger than a bowling ball - fell off the roof and landed not 6 inches to the left of where I was standing! If I had been one step to the left, it would have fallen right on my head. As it was, I got hit with some ice shrapnel. It was really scary!!
:scared1: EEK! Thank goodness you're ok! I don't think you're exaggerating - a few inches with a chunk of ice that big is pretty much "near death".

Oh, I forgot. Ya know how I've been having trouble with the cruise excursions? Well, the one thing I wanted to do was go horseback riding on the beach but there was no excursion that did that. So, Chris spent last night while I was at work on cruisecritic.com trying to find one and he found one in St. Maarten that is a 2 hour ride with a swim with the horses and the ability to canter for experienced riders. Its a little pricey but I told him that if we do that I don't care what else we do! Woo-woo!!!
Good for you - you found an excursion that'll work for you! That actually sounds like a lot of fun - and I don't really even ride any more.

Oh, Nicole! Don't feel so bad - yep, we've all done it. My DH has backed into so many trees and stuff I've lost count, and I backed into my friend's car (in my driveway, of course) many years ago. That's part of the reason I don't drive an SUV - I'd be backing into things all the time! Did you ever get your ice cream???

I think I'm up to about 50:rolleyes1
50 snowglobes??? WOW!

Poor Brittany, she has been upset all day. She passed out valentines cards to all her friends and she only got one in return. She said most of them passed them out, just not to her.:sad2:
Poor Brittany! That just stinks!!! UGH!! Girls that age can be so awful!

I have been wearing my crocs all day and keep changing out of them to run errands. They are sooo comfortable. The only problem is that my feet are always really cold!! So I have come up with a weird way to handle the cold feet...I have the hair dryer plugged in beside the computer desk. I turn it on and point it inside the crocs...heat them up and put them on...Man, does that feel good:upsidedow
Very creative!! I'm with you and Linda - I love to wear them all the time but they're SOOOO cold in winter, even w/ socks!! Hmmm... little crocs heaters?

I'm so sorry... I did something like that a long time ago. I was in HS or just out and was backing out of the driveway. Somehow I hit and moved the gas meter!!! :scared1: I called my mom hysterical then called the police dept. they sent the police and fire dept and told me I had to go house to house in the neighborhood and evacuate everyone. They were afraid the gas line was ruptured and it would blow!!! Thankfully nothing like that happened but to this day I hate backing out of the driveway!!
OMG - how embarassing!!!

Happy Valentines Day to the Cliqueless Crew!!!!

Soooo..... did you have fans (blowing your hair) and some techno music, or at least Madonna's 'Vogue' playing for your photo shoot? I mean, if you have to go through that at the Dr.'s office he should at least make it fun!
Ribbing aside - I'm glad the nurse was respectful of you. Sorry you had to go through that. Made for a pretty stinky day, I'm sure.
Oh, if only you could stay in WDW... now THERE'S an idea - since you feel better there (who wouldn't?) perhaps.... prescribed trips to WDW!! You think insurance would cover them? I mean, they're therapeutic, right?

I agree with you - I think he's a little sweet on her. She didn't get to give him his gift yesterday, though!! He didn't have rehearsal. She'll see him today.

Hi to everybody, :wave2: and hope everyone has a great day!

Good Morning!

Thanks for breakfast Donna!

It's nice to know that I'm not the only one that has done something dumb like this! Thanks for the hug everyone, I'm still depressed about it.

:scared1:
That is TOO CLOSE for comfort!! Very scary!! Glad you weren't hit!!

WOW, 6 pages to catch up on! I'm only about 1/2 way done but I need to comment on what I've read so far so here goes...

While I was at Target today, in the dollar section they had marked down their valentine stuff. I got 4 sets of silverware (they had little hearts on the ends) and 4 dinner plates with hearts around the edge. I got all of it for $10.

I must go to Target today - great deals! I was going to go yesterday at lunchtime and decided WalMart is closer - wrong choice. I have the V-day silverware from last year & the kids just love it, it's such a nice size for their little hands.

That was too funny, Kenny and my coat.:lmao: It took me a few times before I understood why he was telling me that. I forgot I was wearing a coat from Mexico.:rotfl2: He is such a hoot!!:rotfl: I still laugh about you playing with Mike's butt!:lmao:

Well I still can't wear shoes.:sad2: I had to go to the store so my only choices were my slippers or my Disney crocks, so the crocks it was. Let me tell you crocks and cold, snowy, wet weather do not go well together!:scared1:

I have not heard the coat & butt stories, somebody please fill me in! I love my crocs, even in the cold w/socks they are fine, but NOT good in the snow!! I think we have all found that out the hard way.

Nicole: Sorry about your car incident. And you didn't even get the ice cream? How sad. I once was backing out of a spot in a crowded parking garage, and I was so worried about backing over somebody that my front bumper hit a HUGE support pole and smashed the headlight. Of course it was in the wee hours of the morning and I had a hard time convincing Mom that I wasn't drunk driving.

Linda: I have a garage for the first time, and I am always terrified of backing into the closed door!! I check it at least 4 times before I start the car, but sometimes I'm in such a hurry and so frazzled that I forget to check - I just know I'm going to hit it one of these days. So far so good! I have forgotten to close it at night though - that's bad.

Lesa: Madison sounds a lot like Lyzzie. She too wants to collect snowglobes, but only the very small ones. I can't believe I completely forgot to look for one for her at WDW. Oh well, I keep telling her I will take her for a long weekend as soon as airfare goes down, right now on SW it is 109-165 EACH WAY - yikes!!

Donna: you're cracking me up with all the things you've backed over! My mom ran over & smashed up a curb in her minivan at the store and they never fixed it, we would always point it out when we went to that store: There's the curb Mom destroyed with the van!

Poor Brittany, she has been upset all day. She passed out valentines cards to all her friends and she only got one in return. She said most of them passed them out, just not to her.:sad2:

That's horrible! I thought schools make sure you give one to everyone nowadays? I always hated V-day at school for exactly that reason. Just make sure to do something extra special for her - maybe go out & get her some ice cream. ;)

An action shot of Emma getting ready to hit the wand on the floor. :rotfl: Apparently Lyzzie has a wand that you have to hit on something to make it light up- and she thought thats what she had to do to make this one light up!!!

Thanks for the pictures, they look great! I had also gotten Emma a wand, but it was just a plain one from the Dollar Spot at Target - no lights or anything. She hit it on the ground and cried and said "It doesn't work, it's broken!"

I'll be back after I catch up with the next few pages, whew!!
