Whoo Hoo!! We got a snow day!! Matt is still sleeping! I got the call at 4:30. Of course, even with all my wishing last night I wasn't prepared. I had to hunt up the call list so I could make my phone call. The lady I have to call is a para with the ESL (English as Second Language) kids. She is from Albania. When I called this morning her husband answered the phone. Naturally I had woken him up so he answered in Albanain! I panicked for a minute until he woke up enough to understand what I was saying!!

Good morning everybody! Hope you're all safe and warm. I think we got about a foot of snow last night Mike is out on the atv plowing the drive way again. I have no idea why b/c the ROAD hasn't been plowed we can drive down our drive way but that's probably it I think he just wanted to get out and play

Happy Valentines day to you all Mike pulled a fast one He proposed one year ago last night. He asked Kenny if it was ok and everything...it was so cute!! Anyway, he wanted me to agree to no V-day gifts since we've spent so much on Christmas, vacation...etc. So, I said ok, whatever. Last night he brings me a box and says..this isn't for V-day...its for the 1 yr anniv. of me proposing I'm gonna kick his butt later! It was a Disney snowglobe of coarse He blames me for filling the house w/Disney but he's the one buying it for me for gifts

I love the choc mouse pix. I'll have to send that one to my boss..he loves that! Have a great day everybody and stay warm and safe!!!

Esp since I haven't even heard from my DH today. As I said he is in Memphis and doesn't know I am home from school so I don't blame him!

I hope your headache is better...Did you see the other thread about needing Vitamin D? I can't remember who posted but they said that they had a headache for days and after taking the Vit D their headache went away.

We got Courtney a HUGE teddy bear, Colton an iFish, and Chase an iDog.

Colton picked out a Valentine’s card at the store to give to Kayla today at school. It was very cute without being mushy.

How sweet that Colton bought Kayla a Valentine! I hope it goes well for him.

Linda - how's the headache? I used to get terrible migraines, some that would last 2 or 3 days, so I feel your pain (no pun intended) - get to feeling better soon! What's up with that X of yours?? Rat! And yes, Miss Erin is so incredibly Disney loyal. She'd rather take a 3 day Wonder cruise than a 7 day RC cruise.

Cute Valentine's story...
The little boy who is playing Winthrop in the play is a 4th grader, and from what I've been told just an absolute little cutie. Supposedly going to be a heartbreaker some day. Well, he's been 'hanging out' with Erin and her other lead at rehearsals (which I'm sure he thinks is just COOL - getting to hang with the HS kids). He got her a really nice Valentines Day card and a Tobelerone (candy) "rose" for Valentine's Day!!! I thought that was just so sweet and cute - think he's got a little 'crush' going! So she got him a card and a little 'Ty' stuffed elephant (elephants w/ trunks up are good luck in theatre) last night to give him today.

That is so sweet of Erin to really appreciate his feelings. When Matt was younger, I think 4th or 5th grade, he had a crush on a girl who cheered with Bree...she was a Junior in HS. Unfortunately she wasn't as sweet to him and it really broke his heart!

So, I've been a little absent for awhile since I've been back home.

But, I've actually started training for a job. I will be working from home so I hope I like it. Generally, I HATE customer service. People don't ever call Customer Service to let them know what a great job they're doing. Heck no! They call because something is wrong! And The poor CS person is the first person they get and they usually get the brunt of it. I've done this type of work before for another company but it was taking calls for infomercials. I loved talking on the phone but I hated ALL of those STUPID upsells that we had to PUSH on people. This isn't anything like that thank God but it is Customer service so I hope I do well.

Well, that's what's going on here. Hopefully when this is all over things'll be back to normal. My training finishes over the weekend and it includes classes and homework but I do get paid for all of it thankfully.

OK, well I've got to get to the grocery store and then on to homework for my class tonight. Talk to you all soon.

Aaack! I just got a PM from a mod that my signature pictures are too big, and my resizing program is at home - I of course am at work. They said they'll let it go for the day so I can have time to fix it. I don't want to lose my pirates! Although I might have to replace them with new pirate pictures .

I finally got rid of that stupid headache Wow, I thought I was pretty Disney loyal... Erin has me beat! I'd pick a 7 night RC over a 3 night DCL!!! That Valentines story is too adorable. That was so sweet of her to get him something too. That will make him SOOO excited I'm sure!! that is just too cute!

Yay for getting rid of the headache!!! Yeah, she's Disney loyal, all right - but she has succumbed to my pressure and agreed to sail on the Freedom for 7 nights. We're just trying to figure out when we can do it... hopefully next summer along w/ our Disney trip, so we only have to fly to Florida once. But, we'll see...

OMG now I have to call and make sure they didn't charge us for it.

For those that don't know...Lesa hurt her knee while we were there...Sunday night when we got back to the resort she went to the front desk to see if they had a heating pad she could borrow When they showed up at the room with it, it was brand new in the box. She wouldn't open it until she called housekeeping to make sure we weren't going to charged for it. She was told "Oh no honey."

So we left it in the room when we checked out! And now it's here!!!

I finished my taxes last Saturday (the 3rd). I got my state refund on Monday. My federal refund is scheduled to be direct deposited on the 16th.

Missed my calling?

I was in our kitchen here at work just a few minutes ago. I was making myself a salad when my boss walks in. And I am making a PRETTY salad. Baby field greens, sliced turkey, sliced ham, cherry tomatoes, and some grated cheese.

So, anyway, he says to me “I think you missed your calling. You should have been a chef, or had your own cooking show.” I have made my cheesecake and brought to the group here at work as well.

Anyway………it got me to thinking………Did I miss my true calling? Could I have made a living doing something other than what I do? I would love to do something like own a restaurant, but I realize the hard work, long hours, and dedication it would take.

What about you?

Oh, I forgot. Ya know how I've been having trouble with the cruise excursions? Well, the one thing I wanted to do was go horseback riding on the beach but there was no excursion that did that. So, Chris spent last night while I was at work on cruisecritic.com trying to find one and he found one in St. Maarten that is a 2 hour ride with a swim with the horses and the ability to canter for experienced riders. Its a little pricey but I told him that if we do that I don't care what else we do! Woo-woo!!!

That sounds fantastic! Or as 2x might say, lovely.

I just had a near-death experience at WalMart!! Ok I might be exaggerating just a bit, but here's what really happened: as I was leaving the store, a huge chunk of ice - slightly bigger than a bowling ball - fell off the roof and landed not 6 inches to the left of where I was standing! If I had been one step to the left, it would have fallen right on my head. As it was, I got hit with some ice shrapnel. It was really scary!!

pozey: it does seem like you'd make a great chef, you seem to really enjoy it. I've had a lot of people (including ALL of Lyzzie's teachers) tell me I should be a teacher or a daycare provider but here's the thing. I adore my OWN kids - not always so keen on other people's kids. But I do have a great sense of fun and a knack for turning the everyday into a learning adventure. On the other hand, I can be extremely patient when I get to the end of my patience, watch out! I also don't think I have the initiative and self-discipline to develop lesson plans, let alone budget for three months off.

COOL...we had to wait til we got back to finish ours b/c I was waiting for the interest for the mortgage at the rental...but we finished them right when we got back. I can't wait to see that appear in my checking acct.

You would be a great chef or restaurant owner for sure. You enjoy it! I think there are several things I would enjoy doing and would be very passionate about. photography, nursing... Disney wedding planner or something???

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine's day! Today the girls helped me make a special dinner of spaghetti, french bread, and roasted garlic spread. For desert we had 3 different chocolate lava cakes! While I was at Target today, in the dollar section they had marked down their valentine stuff. I got 4 sets of silverware (they had little hearts on the ends) and 4 dinner plates with hearts around the edge. I got all of it for $10.

I have to ask, what are converstation hearts? I have never heard of them before.

You know conversation hearts....they are those little candy hearts with sayings on them like Love You, or Kiss Me...April had a picture of them in her post. Mom usually buys a small box for each of the kids.

Oh I know it...he is full of them. My dsil and bil came over the other night and brought one of their girls w/the new baby. Kenny was talking her head off for a few hours, imagine that. She is 19 or 20... and she was like...Kenny, you just have it all figured out He sure thinks so! Glad you heard from Blake! You were thinking about popcorn last night for dinner I had some earlier. Kenny and I sat and watched "National Treasure" for the 20th time. I love that movie. I'm ready for bed too! Mikes dad is 71...and don't need to be outside...so this afternoon we all went over and Mike snowblowed the driveway for them. I did some shoveling just b/c I get bored to easy plus I played w/Kenny in the snow. Too bad I didn't think to take my camera. Talk about some kodak moments. When we pulled in, the snow came up even w/the top of the running boards on the truck thank goodness for 4x4!!

yay...they already cancelled Kennys school for tomorrow what a lucky kid!!
