So, I was able to get most of the packing done last night. Hopefully, I will be able to be in bed early tonight for our V-E-R-Y early departure tomorrow morning. Hopefully, we'll be right in front of the sleet and snow.

Talk to you all soon.
Safe travels to you!! And have fun!!

Lin: That sounds like a pretty good movie.

Well guys, all my problems just got a lot smaller. I was on my way back to work after lunch, and I passed the worst car accidents I have ever seen. There were at least 20 cars involved in a bunch of crashes and many cars in the ditch, I'm talking at least 4 solid blocks of wrecks. As I kept driving past, I kept thinking, it can't still be going on, this has got to be the end, but it just kept going. There were people lying down in the street, emergency crews everywhere, and the road is at a complete standstill. A coworker just said that a reporter on the radio called in the worst accident she's heard of in the city's history. I am so thankful not to have been involved in that mess, and I feel so bad for the people who are. It looks like it's going to be a very long time before they get this straightened out. It's on the highway just a few blocks down from my work, about a mile from my house.

ETA: I just read that it was 35 cars and 2 semis involved in the wreck. That's unheard of!
That sounds horrible.

It is things like that that puts things in perspective, doesn't it?

Hello everyone--

I've seemed to have picked up a nasty bug that has me down and out right now, but I though I'd stop in and say hi.

Have a great trip everyone who is leaving tomorrow!

Yeah Brittany!!!!!

April-- I like the last shirt the best.

YO-LANDA!! Sorry, my enthusiasm is getting the better of me lately. I was just thinking we hadn't seen you on here in a day or two, unless it just seems like that long. I sure hope you kick that bug and feel better soon! Is it still so snowy where you are? Kick back with a nice quilt, a fire, some hot soup and a good movie. Aaaaah, that sounds good.

OK, some new information on our Disney trip. As you know, we were originally scheduled to pull out at 3am this morning.

Steven has been listening to weather reports and they are calling for slick roads from sleet and ice and snow. . . . so we have moved our departure time to 6pm!! 6pm People!!! Where's that frantically panicked smiley??????

OH, here it is

So, I've got us booked at the Pop for tonight. So, we'll be checking in just as we were going to leave.

I've got to get hustling. I'll check in just before we leave.

Is this crazy or what?????? But, it's better than being stuck here in bad weather!! OK, I'm a little stressed w/ getting my packing done. . . .

MEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:scared:

April: I just love your frantically panicked smiley guy, he's perfect!! I feel like that pretty much all the time. 6pm tonight -- better get packing girl!! Just think of it this way... more WDW time for you! I just hope for your sake that Steven is not like my dad on road trips: "Hurry up, let's get in the car, we've got to get going RIGHT NOW!!" and then 1/2 hour later: "I'm too tired to drive, you drive and I'll take a nap." As you said, MEN!!!!! (no offense to pozey and sewer, I'm sure you guys would NEVER do that.)

2x2s (and others with picture phobia), I also hate having my picture taken, but I figure I want to have the memories, so I get over it. My mom hates having her picture taken and I hardly have any photos of her. It makes me sad. Instead of focusing on YOU in the picture, look at what is happening in the picture. Meeting new people, having a great dinner, whatever. The picture becomes less of "I look bad" and more about "We/I were having a great time".

I know what you mean. I always take the pictures because I don't really like pictures of myself and if I let Blake have the camera he 'forgets' to take any!:headache: But one time when we had gotten back from Disney I got all my pictures developed and realized that I had taken over 300 pictures and I was in about 6. The more I thought about it I realized that if I were to die my kids wouldn't remember what I looked like and might think that I wasn't really a part of the fun! ( they were really little at the time) So now I make Blake take come pictures of me.

So......did anyone see the Miss America Pageant last night? Guess who won? Miss Oklahoma!!! Again!! This is the 2nd year in a row that Miss Oklahoma has won the Miss America Pageant.

(this is not Miss USA owned by Donald Trump with all the girls getting into trouble)

I watched part of it, we all watched the show Pageant School over the weekend with all of the contestants. The boys got a big kick out of it. I don't know if you all remember but when we were there in Aug the Miss America contestants were in the MK and the boys got their pictures taken with them. They wanted to compare pictures and see who was who.

Oh my, get busy girl!!! How fun tho. I need someone to tell me I am leaving now so that will make me finish my packing!!
Have a safe trip...see you soon!!!:yay:

Ok April's early departure motivated me and despite not having Donna's EXACT arrival time, I PM'ed the list to all the ConventionEars. It includes everyone's arrival and departure times, and I included phone numbers again just in case. I am NOT making any changes to the list so if anyone's info is wrong, please just post it here.

Thanks!!

I'm so sorry you had to see that, Lyzziesmom....but your right, it does put things in perspective, definitely for me!

Lyzziesmom- How horrible! Thank the Lord you weren't involved.

April- In case I'm not around when you leave - Bye, have fun!!!

Amber- I hope you get your cards in.

I voted, but I didn't comment. It's interesting that the voting is at a tie right now!

That's so nice that your mom will come up to see you! If I remember right, she is in Boca? It should be fine at 'Ohana, like someone else said, you were included all along just in case!

Actually, my mom is from Plantation. I'm so glad you guys included me in the ADR's! That is so awesome.

Lyzziesmom, thats a terrible accident! I'm so glad you weren't involved!

Nicole, I got the books today! Thank you so much!!

I just gave Minnie a bath. Poor pup looks like a drowned, frizzy rat.

OK, I think I'm ready to collapse.

WHEW!!!

Now, I'm feeling "Did I forget anything? Do I have my passes? Camera, battery and charger for camera? Cell phone charger?"

I just hate being rushed but I would HATE it MORE if the weather held us up!! I'm grabbing medicines (thyroid and others) TOILET PAPER!!

I need to make the bed. . .

Notice I keep thinking out loud. Alright, 15 minutes and counting I can do this!! I can sleep, relax in the car right?

See you in 15!!

OK, I'm about 9 minutes behind but we are now heading out the door. We'll probably be on the road by 6:15.

I'm logging off and shutting the computer down!!

This is IT, ladies!!!! :cool1: :cool1:

I'll see you all when you get there. Becareful and God-Speed!!

I'm almost done working on the list of arrival/departure times, I will just PM it to everyone hopefully today. I'm still waiting on Donna and Michele (you hear that ladies? Quit slacking off!) If I don't hear from them by this afternoon, I'll just send it anyway, along with the cellphone list in case anyone misplaced it, and it now has Ashley added on too.

I sent the info by PM to you yesterday a little after 5pm yesterday!!!! Sorry, didn't you get it?:confused3

eta:: The pm is marked as "Read".
