Who here is not in the "clique" like me? Part 3

Dznyfan, I made a START in my study...but mostly it feels like I'm just moving the piles around.

April, I like the black and white one; Mickey head with eye patch. I think it will transfer to a shirt better than the others.

Ashley, yippee for your mom getting to meet you!

Well, just got back from seeing "Children of Men" and all I can say is that by Friday I might have decided whether I liked it or not. But Clive Owen is yummy as always.

Night all!

Lin:: Don't you just love de-cluttering?? I just have to go in with a trash bag and hope for the best.:scared:
I don't know what Children of Men is about; although I have heard of it.
Good night, I hope you have a good day tomorrow!!!

Lin, I wanted to see Children of Men but after reading some about it I thought it would be a bit too gory. The story sounded really interesting to me though!! And I agree about Clive Owen!

Good morning, Crew!!! I just now checked the thermometer outside.... it's 10 degrees here!!!:cold: How about a little Tonga Toast to warm us up?? Yumm!!

I hope everyone has a Wonderful Wednesday!!!:sunny:

Good morning Donna! The tonga toast looks yummy!

It's a balmy 3 degrees here.:cold: Friday can't come soon enough!!!!

Thanks Donna, but I only have one question.... who is going to bring me back a souvenir? :rolleyes1

Good Morning Everyone!!

Lin, I had no idea about an explosion (I hate watching the news, just too depressing). Neither I (or Ashley) are anywhere near that town. It's in southern WV. I live in the Eastern Panhandle, about an hour and half from DC (just about an hour from Ashley).

April, glad you hair turned out ok. I like all the shirt designs, but for you I would either go with the second or third.

Lesa, yea for Brittany!!!

Ashley, I don't think you will stand out of you don't have the shirt. I don't think 2x2s has one either. It's great that your mom gets to visit too.

I didn't do much last night. I waited around for Fedex and they never showed. I'm worried because last week I was suppose to get two memory cards delivered and now they are missing. Now, two ipods are supposed to be delivered. I don't want those to go missing as well.

Donna, thanks for the Tonga Toast.

We're really warm, compared to some of you, at a whopping 24 degrees. We've had some little snow pellets fall this a.m. My boss' plane leaves in 40 minutes to take him to Maui for a week and a half. Life is rough.

April - I like the 2nd design and the last design. Glad to hear your hair came out OK! You needed 2X2S to do your brows, though, it sounds like!

Ya'll have a lovely Wednesday - I'll check in later! :wave2:

Good Morning!

Thanks for breakfast Donna!

Ashley- That's great your mom is meeting you up there!

April- I like the second design.

Have a great day!

April I like the second design also!

Well wish me luck! I go to try to get my hair fixed in a bit. I'm trying to decide if I have to tip the girl that is fixing it.

Ashley: Glad to hear your eye appt. went well! A good technician can make all the difference. Trust me, I have been going to the eye dr. every 6 months since the age of 7, although lately I only go once a year. They always tell me I need lasik (contacts are only available in one more step in strength than what I wear now) but nobody every offers to pay for it for me!

That's so nice that your mom will come up to see you! If I remember right, she is in Boca? It should be fine at 'Ohana, like someone else said, you were included all along just in case! And then April and I and Emma decided to skip 'Ohana and do CP instead - ain't we just a bunch of party poopers?? :rotfl:

Amber: I hope your deliveries show up soon!! That's a lot of expensive stuff to not receive!

I made an appointment for after work to go to my regular salon and get my haircut fixed. I just can't stand what that lady at Beauty Brands did to it. My layers are all uneven - the right side's shortest layer is down past my ear, and the left side's shortest layer is just a little longer than my bangs - and I still can't figure out what she did to mess up my bangs so badly. So I explained on the phone that I tried to save some money and now I remembered why I shouldn't do that, and that I need someone who can deal with thick wavy unruly hair. She said, No Problem!! I like this place because even though they are pricey, they will take the time to sit down and do a consultation first and decide WITH me what will really work for my hair, rather than just cutting it any old way I might think I want. They will say, no that doesn't really work with your hair type, why don't we try this or this? And then afterward, they will give me ideas on how to style it different ways depending on how much time I have. So I'm really hoping this will make me happier, because right now I just feel so dumpy!

I'm almost done working on the list of arrival/departure times, I will just PM it to everyone hopefully today. I'm still waiting on Donna and Michele (you hear that ladies? Quit slacking off!) If I don't hear from them by this afternoon, I'll just send it anyway, along with the cellphone list in case anyone misplaced it, and it now has Ashley added on too.

Hope everyone has a lovely Wednesday! Only TWO MORE DAYS until the ConventionEars meet in WDW, how exciting!!

If you don't get Michele's info in time, she is flying I believe northwest and her arrival time is about 1/2 hour before mine, I also believe she departs about the same as me.

ETA: Good luck with your haircut! It seems a lot of us are having hair mishaps before this trip!

April I like the second design also!

I'm usually not much of a tipper, but I'd say IF she fixes it to your satisfaction, then yes, you should tip her. If she doesn't do what you want and you're still not happy, then I see no reason to tip her for doing a bad job. Unless of course she really tries, and explains to you what's going on, and helps come up with a compromise. I think you said she's doing an allover color glaze? That should work to tone down the harsh highlights by adding just a wash of semi-transparent color over everything to even out the tone. Good luck!! I guess today is hair-fixing day.

April, you lucky girl, you don't have to have yours fixed!!

This will go down as the most expensive hair disaster ever!:sad2: Oh well, live and learn. I saw on the today show this morning that women almost always have a bad day if they are having a bad hair day! That explains why I'm always so cranky, it's the hair!:rolleyes1

I don't know if anyone else has seen the Kleenex comercial, but it is just nasty! It had women blowing grown mens noses. The first one I saw the girl told one of the guys that he still had a booger:eek: and wiped it for him.:scared1:

My mom did the coolest thing for me yesterday. When I got to her house to pick up the girls, and stay for dinner, there was this stack of papers on my plate. I assumed it was stuff from Lyzzie's backpack so I didn't look too closely at it until I sat down. Turns out, it was a bunch of old Disney World guidemaps and tickets from 15-20 years ago! Lyzzie and I had a good time looking through them. She wishes she would have seen a lot of the old exhibits and rides that are gone, and I had a nice little trip down memory lane. Lyzzie was amazed by all the stuff they have added since then, and she got a good laugh out of how old everything looked including the characters' costumes!
Wow, that is really cool. I too like to see the old character costumes. Speaking of that, I TiVo’d a few old sitcom episodes recently where they went to Disney World. I TiVo’d episodes of Full House, Roseanne, and Boy Meets World where the characters go to Disney World.

I haven't seen it yet, but ewwwww!!!

Good luck with the hair!:wizard:
