No way!!! I would not be where I am today without "Google" in my life!!! :teeth: Oops, just gave away my secrets!! :ssst:

I didn't answer lyzziesmom's QOD because I've eaten at so few restaurants at WDW. We are always so busy rushing from one place to the next we very rarely do a TS meal!! My experience includes Donald's Breakfastaurus, Sci-Fi Dinner Theatre and Hollywood & Vine. Although I would really like o try LeCellier; I think my absolute favorite restaurant is.....don't laugh.....Pinnochio's Village House.

Religious= The First Noel

A marshmallow world!?!? :confused3 I don't think have ever heard this song before.

Michele and I have not talked much about it. I actually have to talk to her about the trip in Feb. as well as ours in June. Oh Michele, come out, come out wherever you are! :3dglasses

Good morning everyone!

Well we woke up this morning to........
SNOW! and COLD! I complain, but really I love to have cold weather during December. It feels more like Christmas. Of course, I'm totally over it by January. :)

Boy Lots to catch up on today.

Lizziesmom- Thanks for taking over the Christmas card list. I'll PM my address to you this morning. I'm assuming that you will PM me the full list? Is there a specific time we're sending the cards, or just when we get around to them? Thanks so much! :goodvibes

Let's see-- what I do for a living.... well, I get paid to to accounting and events for a non-profit organization, ...unpaid---PTO president of DS school, short order cook, house cleaner, dry cleaner, fixer of all things, nurse, home account manager, :teeth: :teeth: :teeth:

Lesa-glad you had fun at the Nutcracker!

2008 cruise-- Oh I'm dreaming of the beach now :woohoo:

2x-- Just what I always wanted, a chia pet. I'm not very good with indoor plants, I'd probably kill it :sad2:

My Ds and I both have our birthdays in January. The good news is that all the toys go on clearance after Christmas, so we get off cheap on the kiddo's birthday.

2x-- those photo's from the Brown Derby look yummy! I've never eaten there. Might have to try it!

My favorite rest-- well, there's more than one so here it goes. Loved 50's Prime Time Cafe due to the staff. They always make this a fun place to eat! Loved Ohana's-- great views, good food, and at dinner they have really fun activites for the kiddo's. Boma's-- what a great, and yummy way to try different foods that we might otherwise not have. Very good! Sorry, a long answer

April-- have fun in NC.

YM-- love your outfit! I need one of those!

I'll take one of those Irish coffee's please. The high today is supposed to be 24.

Favorite Christmas song- I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas....

Have a great day.

Donna, I had to go google Marshmallow World! :teeth: This is also sung by The Cheetah Girls! :lmao:

It's a marshmallow world in the winter,
When the snow comes to cover the ground,
It's the time for play,
it's a whipped cream day,
I wait for it all year round.
Those are marshmallow clouds being friendly,
In the arms of the evergreen trees,
And the sun is red like a pumpkin head,
It's shining so your nose won't freeze.
The world is your snowball, see how it grows,
That's how it goes, whenever it snows,
The world is your snowball just for a song,
Get out and roll it along.

It's a yum-yummy world made for sweethearts,
Take a walk with your favorite girl,
It's a sugar date,
what if spring is late,
In winter, it's a marshmallow world.

The world is your snowball,
see how it grows,
That's how it goes,
whenever it snows,
The world is your snowball just for a song,
Get out and roll it along.
It's a yum-yummy world made for sweethearts,
Take a walk with your favorite girl,
It's a sugar date, what if spring is late,
In winter, it's a marshmallow world,
In winter, it's a marshmallow world,
In winter, it's a marshmallow world.

Donna---you made me sad when you said you've always wanted to try LeCellier!!! Why don't we try to see if we can eat later that Friday night so you would be able to join us when you get in??

It looks like a lot of us like the 50's Prime Time Cafe... I have never tried it but maybe it would be a good one for lunch or dinner one day in Feb? I will admit: I'm a little bit afraid of this place. I grew up being teased for my eating habits and have some less than stellar memories of being picked on at the dinner table. However, everyone assures me that the PTC is all in fun and they wont actually withhold dessert if I don't eat my veggies.

I could not resist a blast from the past....any 80's fans out there. :rolleyes1

Do they know it's Christmas?

It's Christmastime,
there's no need to be afraid
At Christmastime,
we let in light and we banish shade
And in our world of plenty
we can spread a smile of joy
Throw your arms around the world
at Christmastime

But say a prayer,
pray for the other ones
At Christmastime it's hard,
but when you're having fun
There's a world outside your window,
and it's a world of dread and fear
Where the only water flowing
is the bitter sting of tears
And the Christmas bells that ring there
are the clanging chimes of doom
Well tonight thank God it's them
instead of you

And there won't be snow in Africa this Christmastime
The greatest gift they'll get this year is life(Oooh)
Where nothing ever grows
No rain or rivers flow
Do they know it's Christmastime at all?

Here's to you raise a glass for everyone
Here's to them underneath that burning sun
Do they know it's Christmastime at all?

Feed the world
Feed the world
Feed the world
Let them know it's Christmastime again

Feed the world
Let them know it's Christmastime again

We Are The World

We Are The World

There comes atime when e need acertain call when the world must come together as
one. There are people dying and it´s time to lend a hand to life, the greatest gift
of all.

We can´t go on pretending day by day that someone, somewhere will soon make a
change. We are a part of God´s great big family and the truth, you know, love is all
we need.

Refrain: We are the world, we are the children, we are the oneswho make a brighter
day, so let´s start giving. There´s a choice we´re making, we´re saving our lives,
it´s true we make a better day, just you and me!

Send me your heart, so they know that someone cares and their lives will be
stronger and free. As God has shown us by turning stone to bread so we all must lend
a helping hand.

When you´re down and out thereseems no hope at all but if you just belive,
there´s no way we can fall. Oh, let us realize that a change can only come when we
stand together as one,as one.

Refrain: We are the world, ...

Now for my favorite......I'm Dreaming of a "White Christmas"....... :thumbsup2

have a good Saturday everyone!!!

Hey chatty songbirds!

Friday's QOD- I like 50'S Prime Time Cafe, Le Cellier, and Earl of Sandwich. I might have to go there sometime soon. ( I am lucky enough to have one about 30mins for me)

Today's QOD- I like "I'm dreaming of a White Christmas"

I have to run... talk to everyone later!

Just got back from Nathan's basketball game and lunch. They didn't do too badly today, but still didn't win. Oh well, they are improving.

Lin:: Sorry to see you keyboard is misbehaving.
I remember reading in your trip report about how much you loved Raglan Road. I will have to keep that on my list of restaurants to try someday.

Lesa:: It's after lunch now, I might have one of those Irish coffees from this morning. :drinking1
Also, thank you for reminding me the Cheetah Girls did Marshmallow World. I was trying...er, I mean I had forgotten about that version. They do have a way with a song! :rolleyes1 Did you get to talk to Michele yet? (About Feb.)

Oh, no!!! There are other days available for me to go!!! I'm almost certain it's going to be much too late to start a big meal by the time I would be able to get to the restaurant. Sunday and Monday are still available options. No problemo!!!
Have fun at the party!!! I know what you will really be doing!! :teeth:

Does anyone have a Vonage phone? We have one. I don't mean to be a pest, but we could communicate easier about the Feb. trip. Or perhaps Instant Messaging? Just a thought.

Oh, earlier I did forget to mention I do like Rainforest Cafe. We have to do that almost every trip.

So what are everyone's plans for this evening? DH told me he was moving my laptop downstairs so that I would be down there with him. (That's where the new TV is  ) That may be the extent of my Saturday night. Tomorrow I'm going Christmas with my mother, sister and niece.

What a chatty bunch again this morning/afternoon! I'm not even going to attempt to catch up with everyone. We are having a nice lazy day today... my back is pretty bad so I am really enjoying not leaving the house. The kids watched The Polar Express this morning, and then Mickey's Once Upon A Christmas, and now they are watching Frosty's Winter Wonderland and eating popcorn. My folks were here for a while doing some work around the house - changing cabinet knobs & lightbulbs, etc. My dad accidentally got sawdust in Emma's soup, and then told me I should give it to her anyway!

I have been wracking my brain all day, but I cannot decide on a favorite Christmas song. One of my (many) very favorites is I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus. I always like Jingle Bell Rock and Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree, and pretty much anything by Burl Ives or Bing Crosby. I adore all the old "classic" recordings. Lyzzie lately is enamored with The Little Drummer Boy. It was never one of my favorites, but when I really listen to the words I do tear up a little. I also really like "Walkin' in a Winter Wonderland."

When I was a kid I had a record of Xmas music, I think it was just called "Rudolph and Friends" and it had this song on it that I have never heard anywhere else, it was really cute. "Christmas Cookies and Holiday Hearts." Has anyone else ever heard this one? I need to find that record and have it copied onto CD.

And then of course there is the ever-popular, "There's Something Stuck Up In The Chimney." ;) Always a must in our house.

As for planning the Feb trip, what I usually do is check the UG crowd calendar, check the park hours, and first decide what park I'd like to hit on each day. Then I make my ADR's based on where I plan to be. That helps to minimize the travel time. One time the ex-MIL planned all the dinners, and we wasted several hours per day traveling to/from meals. I think we will all have hoppers, so we can hit EMHs if we want to without being stuck at a busy park all day. I haven't done too much planning for this particular trip, because I'm the type who either wants complete control or none. I think this time I will tag along, but I'm just sharing my strategy.
