More quality time chasing, I mean playing with, Emma & Kenny! :teeth:

I'm loving the holiday theme, but I'm having a heck of a time finding my smilies on the green background!!

2x2...I'm so glad your grandma seems to be doing better.

Keagansmom...Ouch!! I hope his foot is OK!

Favorite parks...can't pick, although I have favorite rides in each one

MK...Pirates and Splash

Epcot...Soarin' and Living with the Land

DS...Tower of Terror and RocknRoller Coaster

AK...Expedition Everest

If we stock up on Depends we don't have to take ANT bathroom breaks :smooth: Just a thought, guys!!

Well, it was back to school today and it certainly was a Monday. I thought the kids would be calmer after a break but no, they seemed more riled up than normal. We ended the day with a fire drill since we are still having nice weather.

Poor Blake, I dropped him off at the airport 11 hours ago and he's still on a plane! :sad2: I think he is due to land around 7 pm tonight. Does anyone know what the time difference between us and Australia is? I do know he crosses the international date line. Which means he leaves on Sunday and doesn't get there until Tuesday. Then when he comes home he leaves on a Monday and gets home on a Monday. Too confusing for me

I am so achy today, I hope I'm not coming down with anything. Matt has his sports recognition night at the HS tonight. I have no idea how long it will last. I was really hoping to go to bed early tonight.

Better go supervise the homework. Have a great day!

ym... you'll love EE!!! :woohoo: even if we ride RnR 6 x's...if we have our "special" pass...we won't have to wait long :woohoo: I can go w/o drinks til noon :cool1: :teeth:

2x can keep Emma, Kenny and Mike company...if she doesn't mind ,Kenny will enjoy flirting w/her I'm sure :smooth: Mike will talk her leg off...warning...he can talk to ANYONE... oh wait...that is Mike and Kenny both!

That's Emma too, once she warms up to you. There's a reason we call her "She Who Will Not Be Ignored!"

Michele, that's one long flight!! Hope he survives with his sanity intact. I'm achy today too, it's the weather. I don't know how it is where you are, but here it's changing from clear mid-to-high-60s to rainy 50s in the next day or two and whenever there is any type of change it kills me (which is about every 20 minutes here in KS).

Tomorrow evening I have an appointment to get the girls' Xmas pictures taken. I'm debating whether I should be in the pictures too.

I love seeing what everyone's favorite parks are! Stay tuned tomorrow for another Question of the Day (if I am feeling clever enough to come up with something, that is).

Hi everyone!

I hope you all enjoyed your weekend. Mine was good with the exception of yesterday- I got woken up with this HORRIBLE stomachache that I seriously thought I was going to have to go to the hospital for. But I took a hot shower and a LONG nap (I didn't get up until like 5 in the afternoon!) and I felt better. I still feel alittle quesy when I eat something but I do feel MUCH better. I have IBS (sorry if this is TMI for anybody) so I'm used to these kind of attacks but it still stinks.

Donna, Now I haven't been feeling good but those pancakes look DELICIOUS!!!

I feel WAAAY behind, I ended up returning that Christmas tree because I was feeling paranoid, and now I don't have ANY Christmas decorations. I guess we will be buying a real tree this year.. Actually, I was at KMART and saw the fake trees there and their boxes and didn't see any warning on them. Maybe I'll get one of those. Are they just made out of a different material, or is KMART not as good as Target in Warning people about it? :confused3

(Gosh, if I'm this paranoid and over-protective about my DOG what is going to happen when I have chidren??!!)

ooh! ooh! question of the day! (wow - see, it doesn't take much to entertain me...)
As for parks - I'm with Nicole. Epcot is my fave, followed by MGM, then MK, and finally AK.

Hi everyone!

Well, My son's foot is okay. There's a hairline fracture in the bone that goes to his toe next to his pinkie toe ( :confused3 sorry if that's confusing, I couldn't think of a better way to explain it) They have a name for the fracture but I can't remember it right now. We went to the doctors to get it examined, then the hospital for the x-ray, then back to the doctors-- the whole day gone! The good news is no cast :) ! Just a stiff boot thing. We can live with that. Hopefully the swelling will go down soon. Anyway, he's been real good about it (probably because he got to miss a whole day of school and play his gameboy while we were waiting  ) Thanks to everyone for expressing concern.

Pozey- glad you're better!

Lyzziesmom-- I need to quit being lazy and at least post some of our trip photo's. I'll try to get that done this week. Have some cute ones of my son.

Dznyfan-- I've got my decorations up and I agree that it sure puts you in the Christmas mood. I love sitting infront of the tree in the morning drinking my coffee.

Ok-- I'll play, My fav park is AK just because I like the relaxed pace and there are lots of quiet spots to explore. It is also a beautiful park to photograph. Next is MK-- something about seeing the castle and hearing the train just makes me a kid again! :p Then Epcot-- now that my son is older he loves to explore the different areas and try things (especially in Innoventions area). We've been there 2x during the flower and garden show and that's really neat. We also went one year during the food and wine festival and had a blast! I think I gained 10 pounds in one night eating my way through there! :teeth: Finally MGM-- although now that my son is older it's growing on me more and more. Of course I love Fantasmic! Ok-- so I had a long-winded answer. Sorry. Been with an 8 year old and a bunch of doctors all day. Missed out on regular conversation with adults. :rolleyes1

Have a great evening everyone!

Yolanda

Well, I still didn't get to the storage place to get out my Christmas stuff but I did go to the Y to get my personal fitness plan established. I had to do a 3-minute step, crunches, bench press, a few other exercises and have my body fat analyzed. We talked about my goals, limitations and favorite physical things to do.
Basically, the verdict is - - - I am incredibly OUT OF SHAPE!! So, tomorrow it's off to the gym!!

"Sho 'nuff!" They're yummy especially smothered with sausage gravy.

I could go for a few times on ToT too, I LOVE that one!! And Pirates of course, and... well pretty much everything that moves, and a bunch of things that don't. Dang, I'm already feeling like we're running out of time!!

So which is everyone's favorite park? I love AK, but I get all misty-eyed in MGM so that wins out by a small margin.
So glad there are people who will do ToT with me!! :woohoo:   My DH WILL not get on it. I always have to ride it by myself. :sad2:

My favorite park? Hhhhmmm :scratchin I'd have to say AK, MGM, MK and Epcot. I think I love the serene peacefullness of AK, I love  the nostalgia of MGM, MK is where the Magic lives and then Epcot. That was fun. :cloud9: Thanks for asking.

Michele, I don't know what your DH does but his job sounds so exciting getting to travel all over the world. I think I would love a job where I could travel! I personally think Samantha Brown on the Travel Channel has the best job in the world! ::yes:: I think Australia is about 16 hours ahead of us.

Get some rest. Hope you're feeling better soon!

Don't feel bad, Ashley, I don't have any of my Christmas stuff either. It's all packed away in storage.
Hope you're feeling better soon.

Yolanda:: Glad to hear your little guy is doing ok. :grouphug:

Could you guys help me out? I posted this before but I'm afraid it got over looked so I'm quoting myself. Anyway, maybe one of you can see it and help me with this February trip. You can PM me too. :goodvibes

OK, so can Johnnie Come Lately (that's me) be a pain in the neck and ask the who's what, when and where's of the trip. {blush, blush, blush, blush for even having to ask}  . You can PM me the info too. That would be fine. I've tried going back into our pages but I'm having some difficulty finding everything. I want to get my tickets at the great price Allegiant Air is offering them at. Allegiant Air is brand new to our airport and they've been advertising $29-39 flights. I don't know if this is going to be a regular fare but I really want to snag it before they go up if they go up. So thanks in advance for your help. :wave2:
OK, so if you can just give me some info on the February trip, that'd be great.

Good evening everyone!! I be back in a few minutes!! I'm going to try to confuse April by giving her my version of our Feb. trip!!! :teeth:

So, does that mean April is up to speed for Feb? We were planning Friday 4pm for Le Cellier and Sat Ohana for 7:15...I'm not sure when you planned on arriving but let me know and I'll call and have them update our adr's :woohoo: that is so awesome!!!!

Good luck working out...I really need to do that as well :rolleyes1 but there just aren't enough hours in the day sometimes.

ToT...NO PROBLEM :cool1:

Hi!!! I'm going to post the recipe for the Chocolate Pancakes if I can..
(It's from the UK, so everything is in grams.)
Chocolate Pancakes

50g butter
¾ cup milk
2 eggs
225g self-rising flour
60g cocoa
¼ cup caster sugar

Melt the butter. Whisk the eggs, add the milk, whisk again. Add in the melted butter. Sift the flour and cocoa together and add into the wet ingredients, then whisk until smooth. Leave it rest for an hour. Pour a little batter to the centre of preheated small frying pan and swirl it to give even layer. Cook for 1 minute and then flip over, cook the other side. Keep it warm wrapped in a clean tea towel, until the batter is all used. Gently put the filling (your favorite), fold and sprinkle with chocolate flakes. Serves 6.

Yolanda:: Glad to know your name!!! Hi!!! Happy to hear your DS's foot will be OK. I would love to see the pics from your trip. Is your DS 8 years old? I have an 8-year old named Nathan. :goodvibes

Basically, that's what I told her, it just took me about 3 paragraphs to tell her.

Pozey:: I'm sorry you were sick for Thanksgiving. My MIL spent the day in bed with chills. I bet your Christmas decoratons are awesome!!

Dznyfan:: I got my house decorated yesterday ,too!! :thumbsup2 I still have to put up the Christmas garland above the kitchen cabinets and get out my Christmas dishes!!!

I'm going to post this now and finish later.

How many times do you want to ride It's a Small World? I hope three is plenty

There is just one moon and one golden sun
And a smile means friendship to everyone.
Though the mountains divide
And the oceans are wide
It's a small small world

its a small world after all
its a small world after all
its a small world after all
its a small, small world

Ok...I'm feeling bad. I posted about Sophie because she has a cough. Someone suggested it may be a cough that they vaccinate for (bordetella). We got the ok from Andrew's allergy dr on keeping her but I hadn't been back for the rest of her shots... :sad2: She has an appt for tomorrow. She is never around other dogs (at least since we've had her). My sister came out and watched her while we were gone. Darn I sure feel bad right now.

YourMajesty::I'm sure Sophie will be fine once she gets her shots.

I think they can only get kennel cough if they are around other dogs who have it. This is why the bordetella vaccination is required if you kennel her. If your sister came out to your house to pet-sit, I'm sure she's fine. Don't worry, punkin.

So, April, are you still with us? Did I confuse you? I imagine my explanations can be a little hard to absorb. Be warned people, I talk almost exactly like I type. :rolleyes1

Ashley:: I hope you get to feeling like your old self soon!! :goodvibes

2x2s:: I forgot to say :woohoo: :dance3: for ordering your Pirate & Princess Party tickets!!!!
The Hanna Montana CD will be perfect for your niece. How old is she, I forgot.

Michele::Have you heard from Blake yet? Australia would be an amazing country to see!!!

DH aka Gary got his HD receivers for his new TV today. The difference is really amazing!!

I guess it's my turn for a solo conversation.

lyzziesmom asked a question earlier about our favorite parks

1. Magic kingdom---so much to do and I'll always be a kid in my heart. :goodvibes

2. MGM---has my favorite thrill ride RNR. The more time I spend here the more I enjoy it.

3. Epcot--Really close to being 2nd. Probably the only reason it isn't is the fact that I have never really gotten to take my time and enjoy this park very much. I intend to remedy that in February! :thumbsup2

4. AK--is starting to move up on my favorites list. With the addition of EE, it has more to interest me.

Say goodnight Donna.. "Good night, Donna"
