Donna, you made me laugh with your comment about boy vs. girl clothes. When I found out Lyzzie was going to be a girl, the first thing her grandma-to-be said was, "Oh goody, little girls are so fun to dress!" I didn't quite know what to make of that. (Don't anyone tell her, but she was right, they ARE fun to dress!)

With Emma, I was pretty convinced she would be a boy. I did find some boy clothes that I liked, but she's lucky she's a girl because any boy of mine would be wearing little suits and sweater vests all the time, and never be allowed to get them dirty!

Good morning Cliqueless Crew!! I hope everyone had a great weekend! Mine went by too fast!!
Today I decided we would have a variety of donuts!! Grab your coffee, chocolate milk, tea or juice and join me!!!

I hope everyone has a Magical Monday!!!! :tink:

Good Morning!

Donna, those look so good. Mike and I went to Dunkin Donuts yesterday. They have the yummiest gingerbread latte.

I hope everyone had a good weekend. I didn't do much at all.

I am ready to strangle everyone that works for Disney Shopping though. I ordered the Christmas antenna toppers, but the box arrived empty. I sat on hold for ever trying to get a refund. I am again sitting on hold with a supervisor because I received two emails from them with different responses. One said that the refund was issued back to the credit card I ussed (I used a gift card). So, I emailed back to confirm. The email I received from them said that they didn't offer gift cards and I needed to contact WDW merchandising  The supervisor just came back and said they mailed a new card out. I am hoping I get it before I leave.

Good morning everyone!

Thanks for the donuts Donna!

Lizziesmom -- Good luck today!

We woke up to a little snow on the ground today. And the wind is sailing. Gonna' be a cold drop off and pick up at my sons school today. Yuck! Oh well, at least the sun is shining :sunny:

Let's see, today I've got end of month accounting stuff to do for my job and then I will always go in a volunteer in my sons class for an hour, then homework and karate tonight. Nothing terribly exciting. :surfweb:

If you can, send pixie dust my husband's way this week. He's about to interview for a new job. It's a great opportunity for him even though it means a relocation for us.

I work from home so I'll check in a couple of times when my eyes need a break from all the number crunching. :badpc: Have a good day! :)

Donna - those doughnuts look really good this morning!

Lyzziesmom - I'm a little late, but :grouphug: and pixiedust: for your treatment this morning! Hope all goes/is going/went well!

I hope all my cliqueless friends had a lovely weekend - ours was nice but way too short. One more long week, then only 2 days of work next week!! :woohoo:

I just wanted to announce:

I'M IN SINGLE DIGITS!! ONLY 9 DAYS TO GO!!!!!

:Pinkbounc :dance3:  :cheer2: :woohoo:

Posey...did you enjoy the game? :woohoo: Have you heard any news about the injured player?
Trying to catch up on the weekend's cliqueless cliquers activities.....

Yes, we went to the game. Yes, we went to Ted's before the game.... :rotfl:

The game was great. It was a night game. It was a little chilly, but night games are always fantastic.

Manual Johnson.....the player who was injured....is better. He had to stay in the hospital over the weekend. He should be released today. I have a friend who is a trainer at OU. He said Johnson had a pretty severe concussion and had temporary paralysis. He now has full movement of arms and legs and will be okay. He probably will NOT play next weekend though.

On a more positive note regarding OU.......Adrian Peterson is getting real close to be healed. There is about a 75% chance that he will play against OSU in the final regular game of the season.

Oh.....And a BIG CONGRATULATIONS to the Broken Arrow Pride band.......National Champions!! I haven't read completely through the weekends posts to see if DznyFan has said anything about this or not. Way to go PRIDE!!

Good news about Adrian Peterson! Next weekend's game will be a tough one to watch around our house.

Wow, we left the house at noon today and just got back an hour ago!! In between carting Lyzzie from one party to another, Emma and I went shopping and walked around the big mall around here that I've only been to once. I didn't even buy very much, I was very proud of myself!

Wasn't that a big cotton candy Emma had? We actually all shared it so it wasn't as much as it seemed. She was a sticky mess though, she hasn't yet learned not to lick her fingers between every bite!

We went to dinner tonite at the Golden Corral buffet because I wanted to eat a lot, since I can't eat after pumpkin time tonight or tomorrow until I get home in the afternoon. Emma kept talking about Mickey Mouse, it turns out she found a hidden Mickey! Clever girl. Can you spot it? I'm so proud of my little Disneymaniacs.

Linda, I never go shopping on Black Friday either. Yes there are some great deals, but I just can NOT deal with the crowds!! It sounds like you have a great movie theater that you go to, those prices are good for a new place. In FL there used to be a place, it wasn't new but it was remodeled, and all movies were $4 and all snacks/drinks were $1. They were first-run movies but there were only about 4 screens. It was great!! I can't imagine why they didn't stay in business too long.

Here's another funny Emma story for you all: A little while ago, Emma was kneeling at the table and I heard her grunting. I asked her what she was doing and she said, "Busy pooping." A few minutes later I told her it was changing time, and she said, "NO, still pooping. Leave me alone!!" She was so serious too, I couldn't help laughing! I guess at that age it IS pretty serious business.

YM, Christmas lights up already? I can't even think about it until Thanksgiving is over & done with. This year I don't think we will have much, if anything, outside. Coming from apartments, I just don't have many outdoor lights or decorations, and I will probably buy a bunch after Xmas when they are really cheap. That's when I do all my decoration shopping, and then by the next Xmas I forgot what I bought and it's so much fun to unpack everything and surprise myself!
CUTE picture of Emma!! She's darling!! And I love the "busy pooping" story!! :rotfl2: Leave me alone!! :rotfl:

Whew, just finished reading all the weekend posts and now I have to get ready for work! Glad to hear everyone had a good weekend!

Lizziesmom, good for you for booking your trip! And we were all with you in spirit even if not in body! I hope everything goes well with your ablation today!!!!

Linda, I sell Partylite...those dang candles are very addicting....so is Southern Living at Home, my other home shopping weakness.

Hey to everyone else! I'm off tomorrow, I think, so I'll be more chatty!

TTFN!

Ok...everyone...here is a picture of what hives look like on a kid that's having an allergic reaction to his medicine. :sad2:

My poor baby...although he's out playing right now.

Hi, everyone!! I just got home from work a little while ago. Was catching up on todays' posts.

YourMajesty:: For heaven's sakes!!! Your poor DS's hives look so...uncomfortable. At least he's out playing, I guess that's a good sign. I this your oldest DS or the younger?

Amber:: Yippee!!! Double digit dancing for you!!! :dance3: :yay: party:
I hope your Disneyshopping order got straightened out! I ordered my Mickey Christmas denim shirt and a red Mickey polo shirt over the weekend. Hope my package doesn't arrive empty.

Keagansmom:: Sending some pixie dust for DH's new job!!! pixiedust: pixiedust: Perhaps your possible relocation would be to a warmer climate. :teeth: :cold:

Had better try to fix supper. Talk to you all later.

YM - your poor boy! Is he the one with the ear infection, and now this?? Oh no! I had hives once, when I was first pregnant with Lyzzie. I was so scared to tell my mom (even though I was 23!) that the stress caused hives, and of course I could not take anything to treat them! I had them internally as well, and ended up in the ER because my throat swelled almost closed. Very unpleasant. Remind me to post a pic I have of Emma at WDW when my mom put regular sunblock on her face instead of the baby sunblock - for some reason it's fine on the rest of her, but does horrible things to her face. Actually, I may have already posted it many moons ago, but I will again anyway.

I made it through the ablation just fine, although the anesthesia wore off early and they weren't done yet. Thank goodness it wasn't a major surgery, just a needle!! Apparently for some reason I told my mom I wanted to take my kids home tonite ASAP. I have no idea why I'd say that (nor any memory of it), as I do NOT feel up to caring for these little monkeys right now!! So after some confusion, she agreed to watch them tonite only. She is off at the store right now and taking me home shortly.

DBF was nice enough to pick up my final paycheck for me and will be bringing it to me tonite. I'm afraid to look at it! Since my healthcare benefits run through the end of the month, all the deductions will be doubled. Yikes!!

Emma has a new song, can you figure out what it is:
Three mouses
Three mouses
See them running after fire!
Cut off tails with a cow!

That's right folks... it is Three Blind Mice after being Emmacized. I really need a DVD recorder for things like this!! I'll have to put it on my Xmas list, along with everything else.

Amber, you must be getting so excited!! Are you packed yet?

Lin, I have never seen Partylite candles. I was invited to a party, but then the hostess got a new job and had to postpone indefinitely. Too bad, I was looking forward to making some new friends. And of course, SHOPPING!!

Oh, man.....that sucks! What medicine did he have the reaction to? Hopefully the rash will go away quickly!

I need you guys to tell me what you think of this situation.....

We live in a neighborhood where all the houses are on at least 1 acre lots. And every lot has lots of mature trees. So, that means lots of leaves. There are at least 30 - 40 trees in my yard alone.

Anyway, the people who live directly across the street from me apparently have a severe distaste for leaves. :rotfl: They are a retired couple probably in their early 60's. Nice people.......but just a little eccentric.

They will come out and blow leaves off their driveway at least 5 times A DAY. They will mow their yard and bag up and get rid of the leaves in their yard at least 3 times a week.

We try to rake our leaves up as much as possible. But being 2 working parents with 3 children who are active in sports leaves little time. Plus, on weekends, we like to do family things. We will rake the leaves when we have a chance. And I will put my yard up against any yard in the neighborhood in the summer.

So.....at the moment, we have quite a few leaves that have settled in the drainage ditch right in front of the house.

Well, today DW took the day off because she didn't feel well. She said the neighbors were out mowing, raking, and just generally removing every single leaf off their lawn. This afternoon, she decides to run to Sears to get something. When she comes home, the neighbor had run his lawn mower with bagger through our ditch. :confused3 Got rid of all the leaves in the ditch.

Now, if we had raked all these leaves and bagged them, it would have produced probably 10 39 gallon sized trash bags.

So......should I be happy that he did it? Should I be embarrassed that he thinks I don't take care of my leaves? Should I be offended? I don't know what to think..... :confused3

lyzziesmom:: I'm happy to hear you made it through your ablation okay. :goodvibes Wow, what a mix-up thinking you could watch the girls after your procedure. I kind of grimace just thinking about it, Girlie.
Love Emma's version of Three Blind Mice!! Nathan was playing Smoke On The Water on his acuistic guitar a little while ago. Maybe they should form a band!!! :rotfl2:

I'm baking Pillsbury cookies with candy bits. Anybody want one?

What a quiet day! Just a sec to check in before I settle into Monday Night Football....

Lyzziesmom - glad to hear the ablation went OK. Love Emma's song, but I have to admit, I would have NEVER figured it out if you hadn't said what it was.

YM - your poor boy! Obviously not bothering him too much if he's out playing. Hope those hives go away soon.

Linzy - whats the scoop w/ Partylite candles? I LOVE candles, but I like ones that have a really strong aroma.

Pozey - As to your leaf-phobic neighbors.... They don't make a regular practice of cleaning up the ditch do they? Perhaps they were merely giving you a hand with your leaves, knowing of course, how busy you guys are.

pozey... that's a tough one. Are you guys friendly with the neighbors, or is it more of a wave-when-you-see-them-outside kind of neighborship? Personally I'd just be thankful that they took it upon themselves to take care of it. If it becomes a recurring event, then I'd maybe be offended, or at least wonder why they don't mention that it bothers them. Either way, your leaves are gone! For the next few hours or so, anyway. I have personally given up on the fight against the leaves, as have most of my neighbors.

YM, here is the pic I mentioned of Emma with her sunscreen reaction. My dad & I came off of Splash Mountain with Lyzzie to find my mom in front of Pecos Bill's with Emma. She was horribly blotchy and rubbing her eyes, and because my mom's contacts don't work very well close up, she couldn't see it and just kept applying more sunscreen because she thought Emma was just wiping it off. This picture was taken in the restroom about 15 minutes later, after washing her with cold water for several minutes:
Sept2006076.jpg

Luckily I'd seen this on her before, and knew that it would go away on its own. Still quite scary though, and the trauma did earn her a Mickey Bar!! (and one for her very brave mother for keeping her shinola together through the whole thing.)

Donna, pass me a cookie! On second thought, better make it two. Nathan & Emma in a band, hunh? What would they call themselves?? On my cellphone, I have it set so that when my parents call it plays Cheap Trick's "Surrender"... Emma was singing it in Target yesterday and she actually got all the words right! So here I am pushing her around and she's yelling, "Mommy's all right, Daddy's all right, they just seem a little weeee-iird!!"

I took my bandage off my back a little while ago & was horrified to see that I'm sporting a vertical line of bruising for about 2 inches right above my, um.... crack. Lovely!

Since we're on the subject of TMI.... Ugh, I'm having another round of the never-ending Monthly Friend. I've got an appointment Fri. to see what can be done, last time it lasted well over 6 weeks but they found nothing abnormal. That was back in May/June, and this is the first one I've had again since then. It's been a little over 2 weeks now.

Actually, DW baked a lot of cookies this afternoon. I took about a dozen of them over to him after I got home. Told him I appreciated it. He said that he just enjoys working out in the yard. I (jokingly) told him that there were more leaves on the side of the yard.... :rotfl2:
