Oh man Jill, mono?? That's awful! I had that in high school, I remember my mom didn't think I was really *that* sick so she sent me off to play rehearsal. I couldn't think too clearly, and I took out a mailbox and a small tree in our neighborhood. Lucky me, it was at the house of the neighborhood bully and Mom marched me over there the next day to apologize. THAT was fun. By the time I got to the doctor and was actually diagnosed, it was too late to treat it because I was almost better. That was also the first time I passed out from a blood test! Fun times.

Well the kids are having "breakfast for dinner" because most of our food is still packed in boxes, and I did a massive fridge purging yesterday. Then later my parents are coming over to pick up some tools, and we are all going out for ice cream! I scream you scream, we ALL scream for ice cream!!

Jill :grouphug: hope you get feeling better soon!!!

Lyzziesmom and Ashley...I agree w/you guys...I'd rather spend $400 on something other than a room....If you guys want we could stay at SOG or POP...SOG you get discount tickets but no ddp.... pop you can get me and ddp....we drive so ME doesn't do anything for us... we like the ddp but again you don't HAVE to have it...you could save a lot on meals there w/o it if you try to eat cheaper... heck it was our honeymoon and we spent 10 nights at pop... obviously we could have afforded to stay at GF or something but it just seems like TOO much $$ to me for a room...I've stayed at WL..and have been to several others for meals...but it's not a must have to me. I'm sure if you brought Emma, Kenny would help keep her company;) I'm sure we'll check to see about any discounts too!!

eta: I went and checked too...4 nights at POP w/tickets and ddp for 2 adults and 1 child is $1350 w/o any discounts...I think w/AAA you can get like 20% off your room or something? I'll check w/sog too b/c they may even be sold out and offer "overflow rates" which are much cheaper.... I'll check into that :)

Lyzziesmom - yep I passed out today. My blood pressure is really low from being sick and they took my blood I got a little dizzy nothing bad it went away right away then like 5 min later they gave me the shot and my body just gave out (apparently I have no recollection of it) the nurse said as soon as she took the needle out I told her I didnt feel right and dropped immediately to the floor. By the time I came to I had 3 dr's around me and 4 nurses and I was back in the chair with my feet up. I had a coke and a little snack and hung around until m blood pressure went back up to a little more normal.

"Welcome back to Ted's pozey family. Your usual?"

Actually, It's not becuase it's 30 mintues from my house...but it would be if it were closer. When my sister lived in OKC I think she had and IV of salsa running in her veins. :teeth: :rotfl:

Hey DznyFan I finally ate at Pei Wei...yum. I talked DS into stoping after his allergy appointment. It was very good.

precioux pixie....wow I missed out that you were so sick. :goodvibes I'm glad you made it to the Dr. Sorry that you passed out from your shot...I hope you are feeling better. Was the shot for body aches or throat swelling...hope I didn't miss you posting that already. I was very sick with mono when I was 18. My throat/tonsils swelled so much I couldn't really swallow. I was so painful. Please take care. :goodvibes :goodvibes

I think everyone has great ideas and it might be that we stay a couple of different places and meet up in the am. Remember that we are keeping our fingers crossed that they might offer the free dining. :Pinkbounc I can certainly stay anywhere...well maybe not a deluxe...unless it's a great deal. If DH was reading this he would have me at the pop. :rolleyes1 SOG is like the equivalent of a deluxe but the price is around 100-110 a night (no tax). Between Linda and I we could only get 6 rooms...probably not enough...plus I really want to do the dining. :Pinkbounc If we make ressies can they be changed if better deals come along closer to the dates?

Well, I'm off to get DS some more medicine for his allergies....sigh

Hi everyone!!

Jill::Gosh, I'm sorry you are so sick!! Hopefully the antibiotics will kick in soon and get you on the mend!! Here's some hugs :grouphug: :grouphug: and pixie dust pixiedust: to make you all better!!

Ashley::OK, girl, I'm with everybody else...GET TO PACKING!!!! Woo Hoo Less than 2 days!!! :woohoo: :woohoo: :yay: :yay:
I have my super big trunk to hide myself and my camera equipment...I'm ready to FLYYYY!!!!

Michele::I keep missing you in the morning!! How are you doing? I haven't told you, but I love your new picture also!! Keep them coming. :sunny:
When you said you liked to hang out after the PTO meetings for the gossip made me chuckle. I wasn't able to go to our last night(they start at 6pm). I had to call my sister later to see if she heard any good gossip. In particular a group of popular kids that got caught riding 4-wheelers where they weren't supposed to be and unfortunately one of them is now in the hospital.

YourMajesty :worship: ::I have not been able to chat with you. I miss our late night "pick on 2x2s" sessions!! :goodvibes
I hope your DS gets to feeling better. Nathan has ben going to school since I've been treating him for the sinus headache and conjestion. It's gonna' be a long winter!! :sad2:

2x2s::Haven't seen you much. I've missed you, girl. How was the Clapton concert? Did your Dad behave himself? I would have liked to have been there.

lyzziesmom::OHHH ice cream..one of my many downfalls!! I'll take a hot fudge sundae, thank you. :teeth:

Nicole::Was it you that mentioned your parents almost named you Layla? That is too funny!! Layla is one of my favorite songs of all time.

posey::Your family is stuck in a rut like mine is with Lone Star. It's getting to the point that I would almost rather eat fast food than go to Lone Star!!

Lyzziesmom...I agree, there is a lot more at WDW that I would rather spend $400 on! Lesa and I are going to room together so we will get to split that cost in half too  Thanks for checking it out for us!

I know, I am missing everyone in the morning. I miss summer vacation already! The gossip is the best part of those meetings :rotfl: That and the fact that the principal comes to all of them and during his part of the meeting he tells us all kinds of things that are going on or planned. Things that he usually 'forgets' to tell the staff. So I come back to work the next day and fill the other women in on things we need to know :confused3
I am so afraid of those 4-wheelers. Maybe if I was around them more I would be more comfortable but... I hope all of the kids will be fine!

Pozey... how great that Courtney gets her cast off :cheer2: I don't know if your boys ever had one, Nick did in the 2nd grade. Be prepared for how different her arm will look. It will be much smaller than the other and the dead skin on it is weird looking. Nick took a nail brush to his to get it all off

Matt has HIS first football game tomorrow. They are playing a team that is also 4-0 so I don't know how much playing time he will get but he is just so excited that he gets to dress for the first time.

I had so much fun baby shopping today that I bought 2 different things at 2 different stores. I will take them to work tomorrow and have the other ladies help me decide. The saleslady at the first store was  She asked me if I wanted to join some 'kids club' I pointed at Nick and said that he was my youngest so I didn't need to, thanks. She started freaking out. Wanting to know how old I am :rolleyes1 She said that she thought he was my brother (?) and that he was 12 and I was 19!?!?! I'm sorry a few years younger is a nice compliment but 24 years??? That's loony!!
When we left Nick was so upset that she thought he was ONLY 12! Excuse me Skippy she was only a year off :) Too strange

Good Night!! See you all in the morning!

Hi everyone :wave2:

I'm finally getting some stuff done! I'm doing laundry and getting all my toiletries together.

Jill, I'm so sorry your so sick!!! I hope you are feeling better soon. :grouphug:

Hope everyone is having a good day!!! I'm going to miss talking to you guys when I'm on vacation! :teeth:

Oh, I'm sad because I looked on the weather channel and it seems its going to rain all next week!! :guilty: :guilty:

yaaawwwnnnn.............anybody online tonight?

I'm here all by myself. I might start rambling and get myself in trouble...... :teeth:

I ate a small piece of apple pie a while ago. My mom made it especially for Nathan, but what she doesn't know won't hurt her!! :rotfl2: Pie anyone??

What's happening to me? I'm starting to post bedtime snacks!! Help!! :rolleyes1

Hey, I take a compliment any way I could get it!! :lmao: But how DARE that salesclerk think your 13 year-old was 12....geesh!! :teeth:
Yes, the kid from school that ended up in the hospital is being released tomorrow. He was trying to climb a steep hill with young lady behind him. Both were 8th graders.

Ashley::Try not to worry too much about the rain. Aren't you from Florida? I guess I won't try to tell you about the Florida weather....maybe you will get lucky. I'll cross my fingers for you. :goodvibes

Hey Hey kids--

I think I've been on emotional shut down the past day or so. I apologize for being anti-social but I've had alot on my mind lately and totally exhausted. I agreed to go on the new meds because basically I have no choice. I will be honest though--I am not happy about it--in other words--scared. But, once again, trying to be positive and hope that they will have an impact and I won't have to on them for a really long time. I already told my dr. that I don't want to start them until after I get back from WDW because I don't want to take a chance of having a reaction and being sick down there.

If you haven't noticed already--this is how I work--when I find out new things I get really quiet and completely shut down until I think them through and am ready to talk about it. I don't think it is right or wrong--it's just me.

Moving on---I don't know if any of you have been watching the news lately, but there was an Amber Alert in St. Louis last Friday about a 7 day old baby kidnapped. The abductor stabbed and slit the throat of the mother. She (the mother) amazingly took her one yr. old child from house to house to try to find help and lived!!!! Unbelievable!! This happened in Union, MO---very close to Six Flags. Anyway, yesterday they found the baby!!!!!!!!!!! I started crying when I heard this news!!! The story goes that this woman--34 yrs. old, I think, was evidentally pregnant and was pretty much full term and miscarried. She knew this family had just had a baby because there was one of those yard cards in front of their home and she made her move. The saving grace of this baby was that she had a birthmark on her forehead and the abductor--yesterday--called her sister-in-law to go to the doctor with her for some reason and the sister-in-law noticed that there was make-up on the baby's forehead. She turned her in---they are calling her a hero--which is so true to be able to stand up to someone like that. So-----happy ending--the baby is safe, sound and healthy back with her family. :goodvibes Truly a miracle!!!!!!!

As far as the Clapton concert---it was fun. I can't say that I am really familiar with his new music but know the old classics such as "You look wonderful tonight" (my fav) and of course Layla. I had to laugh because we in seats that no one was standing---except-------you guessed it--my luck----the woman next to ME!!!!!! Miss Air Guitar herself. I almost took an elbow to the nose a couple of times. My dad had a really good time which was most important!!

Welcome back 2x2s!!!! We missed you!! :goodvibes

Yes, my dear, I have noticed that a tiny bit, but I totally understand.

Anyone want to join me in a glass of wine? Apple pie, wine...just trying to get my daily requirements of fruits. These count right??? :teeth:

I feel so out of it with the posts-----

Jill----- :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:
Mono---yuck!!!!!!!!!! I'm sorry to say ----but I'm sure you are feeling like dog doo-doo (to put it nicely---without getting bleeped--because you can't even type the mushroom that starts with this word).
I hope you will be feeling like yourself really soon----get plenty of rest!!!
How will this effect your schoool?? Will they allow make-up time??
Feel better girlie!!!

MImom---your dress code stories had me laughing!! Good luck to Matt on his first game tomorrow.
Nothing wrong with someone guessing your age as younger!! Not good when they guess older though!! (mean-face smilie)
Love your new siggie pic!! It reminds me of that show a long time ago where Lily Tomlin plays the little girl in the "big" rocking chair. Being you are only 19, you most likely do not remember this. :teeth:

Ash---are you leaving Friday morning or evening??? Oh sorry, I guess I can ask Donna--------Donna--same question.

You have to be jumping out of your seat with excitement!!!
Don't let the rain hold you back----PONCHO----can be very stylish with the right accessories. :teeth:

Donna---you're just the food postin' queen!!! Apple pie---where's the ice cream?? Oh wait, I do believe Lyzziesmom is having that tonight.
Clapton concert---I think we may be strangers passing in the night!! That would have been too wierd if you were there too. You don't happen to play air guitar, do you??

Did you say wine???? I'll take a glass, or a bottle. Or two. :teeth:

You made me laugh!! Thanks

YM---hey sister!! I am in the middle of eleven and started cracking up because I totally forgot Steph's little cello fib. This is so funny because I have always wanted (and maybe one day still will) to take cello lessons. I just don't have the time nor the money right now. This completely slipped my mind that she said she played the cello!!!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Ashley, there's nothing like a little pressure to get you motivated, is there girl? Glad to see you're getting your packing started - don't forget anything!!

pozey, I hope Courtney is happy with her cast off. She seems like the kind of kid who will miss it! When I was little I was so jealous of the kids with casts on, they got a lot of special attention and got cool signatures on them and such. (ok so maybe I was a little weird... I guess I didn't think about the fact that they had to be in MASSIVE PAIN first!!) I used to make fake casts out of wet t.p. and I couldn't figure out why my mom got mad at me about it! Kids, huh?

Donna, mmmmmmm.... pie. It goes nicely with the ice cream. Which is in my freezer right now. We went to Cold Stone Creamery, had a coupon for a free ice cream for Lyzzie's birthday, plus another buy one get one coupon. Well they made Lyzzie's an extra-large, and none of us could finish ours! Hers actually fit into TWO to-go containers. It was a pretty sweet deal.

Michele, too funny about the brother comment! Last spring at WDW, I was at AK with Lyzzie and we were getting on the dumbo-type ride in front of Primeval Whirl, and the ride operator kept telling Lyzzie to let her "big sister" sit in the back. Lyzzie couldn't figure out what the heck the guy was talking about!

2x, I hope the new meds will work out for you. It's always scary starting something new because you don't know exactly what it will do to you. My brother gave me one of his pain pills a while back to try it and see if I want to ask my doctor for that kind, and I still have it sitting around because I'm not sure how I will react to it. It's an extended-release, and since I react oddly to painkillers I don't know if it will make me sleepy or hyper for 12 hours, and I have no idea what time of day to try it!

Glad you enjoyed the concert! I used to go to concerts all the time when I lived in FL, but not too many artists that I like make their way to KC. Bummer. Your "Miss Air Guitar" comment had me cracking up! I must admit, I am one to sing along at concerts. Loudly. What do I think, they are going to hear me and comment on how fabulous I can sing their songs?? And I should add that I am a terrible singer. I can only hit about 3 notes, and they are all flat. Lyzzie asked me this evening to sing her the national anthem, and I'm pretty sure I could hear dogs howling a few blocks away.

Funny story: as I was putting the girls to bed tonight, Emma told me "listen!" so I leaned close, and I listened, but I didn't hear anything. She told me again, "Mommy, listen!" so I tried again, and still nada. So I asked her, "What are we listening for?" as I leaned my head even further into the crib. She cracked a big smile all full of dimples and cuteness, and whispered, "gas!"

I just HAD to ask, didn't I?

Yummm! We had apple pie early Monday (1:30am)!! Keep posting all this food and you are going to need to start some weight watchers meeting for us here at our little cliqueless thread. :teeth: Hey I think this is the first night in a while that I see Donna, Ashely (GO PACK :teeth: ) and 2xcited all with green light...is Lyzziesmom out there? Poor precious pixie is probably sleeping.

ETA... :wave2: Lyzziesmom

Hi,YourMajesty!!!
Let's all sing a tune at the piano/air guitar bar!!! :teeth:
**Layla**
What'll you do when you get lonely
And nobody's waiting by your side?
You've been running and hiding much too long.
You know it's just your foolish pride.

Layla, you've got me on my knees.
Layla, I'm begging, darling please.
Layla, darling won't you ease my worried mind.

I tried to give you consolation
When your old man had let you down.
Like a fool, I fell in love with you,
Turned my whole world upside down.

Chorus

Let's make the best of the situation
Before I finally go insane.
Please don't say we'll never find a way
And tell me all my love's in vain.

Too funny about Emma----they are so proud of their accomplishments. :rotfl:
