Hi everyone :wave2:

We just got back from dinner and renting a movie from Hollywood Video. We're disappointed because the Blockbuster right down the street from us closed, even while we still had movies rented out!! We had to drive across town to the other Blockbuster to return them, it was really annoying.

We went to Don Pablo's for dinner, and had a horrible experience I would be happy to never think of again.

I wanted to rent the movie The Lakehouse with Keanu Reeves & Sandra Bullock but they had none (and it was guarenteed in stock?? so they gave me a raincheck to rent it for free the next time I'm there- that was exciting!!) I ended up renting Robin Hood with Kevin Costner! I haven't seen that movie in a long time, Jeremiah & I are about to go watch it. Anybody remember the scene where they show him nude? :rolleyes1

I hope everyone had a nice Saturday. This cold weather is depressing me! I had to get out the jeans and long sleeve shirts today. And I have to go buy some socks tomorrow!! sigh..I love flip flops, I wish I could wear them all year round!!!

Hey Ashley...I guess you are off to watch your movie. I'm probably the least movie person here....remember I'm the one who hasn't seen either pirates movie...........so nope I haven't seen Robin Hood. I would have to agree with Don Pablos...it's not what it used to be. :confused3 Hey, pick up a pair of those thick soft fuzzy-ish socks for hanging out in around the house. I love mine. Just get dark colors thougth so you won't know how dirty your floors are (my wook floors aways need a good mopping) :rolleyes1
Enjoy your evening. :thumbsup2

Hey April....please explain to me about these stale peeps. I've seen this posted before and just need more info. Do you let them get hard and what exactly does that do to make them enjoyable? :confused3 I've tried them (fresh) and they aren't my favorite...kind of narly. However, I'm a sugar freak so maybe I could be convinced to try them stale. :teeth:

Precious Pixie,

I just moved from Minneapolis to Texas 2 years ago and I miss it every day! I lived in Lakeville which is 20 minutes south of Minneapolis just before the !-35 break and it is a GREAT area with fabulous schools. My sister teaches Honors Social Studies in Bloomington. If you want any info or the name of a great realtor let me know! I'd be happy to answer any questions. I miss home!

2xcited2slp,

I miss Caribou too! Starbucks isn't nearly as good! I just got back from a trip and had a Mint Condition every day no matter what the weather was because I can't get them here! I've looked in to franchising but they don't francise in Texas.

Yay, Blake and MImom's mom is back!!! Yes, I'm sure that got a couple of looks. At least he didn't cuff her. :rotfl2:

Did you like Visions or was it disappointing?? No, wait, don't tell me. Does it tie in to any of the series??
I wonder how long it will take for #13 to come out.
I am planning to re-read #12 this week during my treatments then pick up Visions for my trip. I hope I like it.

Mike stopped here at my house on the 4th of July and Nick had him handcuff him and place him in the car...all in front of the neighbors :rolleyes1

The book was fun but other than the same characters, with one new one, it had nothing to do with the other stories. It is really hard to explain.

Blake is home and has finally gone to bed. He has been up since Thursday evening our time. He was able to rest on the plane but no real sleep.

I am waiting up for Matt. He is at an afterparty at a girl's house around the corner. I told him he has until 1am. I was going to let him walk home since it is only 6 houses and he has his cell phone with him but his cousin is there and his aunt said she will drop him off when she picks up the rest of them. I think most of the boys who live out of the city are spending the night at her house.

Oh, I love stale peeps. We always buy them, take all the cellophane off the box and put the box on top of the fridge for 3-4 days. The harder they are the better they taste. I hate fresh ones.

 Tinkerbell_Girl :woohoo: a fellow Texan!

My boss confirmed today that she is fighting management on making my job part-time. I am so upset, I went into the bathroom and had myself a good cry.

lyzziesmom- I loved ASMovies as well! Which section did you stay in? We stayed in Dalmatians and loved it.

Lyzziesmom-- You need to send some of that rain to Texas. I would take 1/4 of the rain you had in that picture!

hellokitty86-- Why did you hate Everest? We thought that it was great!

MI_Mom_of_3-- The homecoming pics look very nice! How old is Matt?

lindakmonty-- Any pics of your new haircut? I love Kenny's soccer pics! Does he like it?

Good morning everyone!!!!
I just knew if I slept late enough 2x2s would have breakfast waiting!! OOH LA LA!!! It was Magnifique!!!
I am going to catch up will be back in a few!!!

Ok, I'm caught up now!!!
My internet is still sporadic at best. I was doing fine last night, but went to check in after my nappy poo in the recliner, and no internet!!! :badpc: I think this is actual internet provider problems and not from our end!!! I can't decide if I am

YourMajesty:: About the Peeps; they aren't my favorite thing anymore, but they are not quite as "gooey" and have a little more "substance" if you let them dry out a bit. Perhaps stale was the wrong word, I think maybe we mean dryed-out!!! :teeth: BTW, I have missed you lately, we can't seem to be here at the same time! :chat:

Michele:: I'm glad Blake made it home!! I'm sure he will have some interesting stories to tell!

The dates are Friday, Feb. 2nd-Tuesday, Feb. 6th. Some are coming earlier or staying longer, I think. With my work schedule and family, I am going to be leaving Tuesday morning, I'm sure. We were talking of staying at POFQ, but HelloKitty86/Ashley just got back and didn't care for it. We had originally chosen it for the location to DTD and the fact that it was half the size of the other moderates. Our concern about the values for Feb. was the Pop Warner groups and the Cheerleaders :cheer2: !!! So we really haven't totally decided where to stay, I would like for us all to be in one place, but if that doesn't work we could meet every day or for ADR's, etc. ...........Whew!!!Aren't you glad you asked!!! :teeth:

2x2s::Thanks for the hot cocoa last night!!(I didn't see it until this morning) I knew I felt warm and toasty for some reason!!!...Surely not the hot flashes!! :rotfl2:
I finally went to bed at 2am last night(this morning)!! I felt like such a hooty owl!!! DH came to bed about 4:30 and said the guys vacated the basement at 3:30am!!!! They will probably sleep until noon!! Need some help shoe shopping?????????????
The question for today..............What will you be doing 2 weeks from today?? :yay: :yay: :yay: :dance3: :yay: :yay:

Here is Nicole's itinerary for today:::
*10/1-Sunday
Epcot day
Dinner ar LeCellier
Ooooohh...Le Cellier!!!!!!

I see bunches of green lights out there!!! :wave2: Good Morning!!!!!

Oh 2x2s, I'm so glad you provided breakfast. I was so afraid I'd have to resort to eating dry cereal again. :teeth:

Jill, please let me trade you!!!!!!! I would so love to live in Florida. I am a hot weather, hot blooded girl through and through. The closest I'm getting is South Carolina. The only thing I know about Minneapolis (well actually St. Paul) is that's where A Prairie Home Companion is based. But, that's a cool show. :goodvibes

Michele, I love that picture of Matt with your dad. What a great photo. And lyzziesmom, you are so right. He DOES ::yes:: look like that kid from Highshcool Musical. Just need to lighten his hair just a little bit.

Linda, Kenny looks so cute. Go Kenny, Go Kenny!! :cheer2: Hey, I just thought of something. I dated a guy named Kenny (for 6 years) and he was a huge soccer player. He was even invited to play for Team America abroad. He didn't do it. :rolleyes2 Like alot of other worthwhile things he didn't do.

And, Linda, do show us pictures!! We want to see your hair. 4"-5" is a good length of hair.

2X2S, remember Moleskin is our friend!!
Moleskin_Plus_Padding.gif
Many times in WDW this product has saved my feet. Actually, I have a funny story about the $50 moleskin but I won't bore you all with the details. Needless to say just remember to take the $5.00 moleskin and scissors (to cut it with) with you on the trip instead of waiting until you're there, calling a taxi and then have to go buy all the supplies.  OK, so you get the idea.

YourMajesty said:
My neighbor called me about 10x last week because she was freaking out the Animal Kingdom was full Thanksgiving week. They've been saving for this big WDW trip for two years and she's just now booking....now let's not even talk about dining. She thinks her daughter wants to have a princess character meal...I told her they book those meals 6 months out. Ok...enough said.
:faint: She better join Tour Guide Mike like yesterday and read, read, read his website if she wants to do anything while she's down there Thanksgiving week. I've been there Thanksgiving :crowded: :crowded: :crowded: let's just say you and your fellow parkgoers get real close during this time. Still, not as bad as it was when I went New Year's Eve one year. But almost. September is definately my NEW favorite time of the year to go. We slept in one morning and were still able to just walk on Soarin. It only had a 10 minute wait. It was delightful.

Ashley, I so want to see the Lakehouse! I've been waiting for about a month for it to come out. I think it came out Tuesday didn't it? Of course, I didn't get to the movie rental last night but it's definately on my list of things to do this week.

I'm going to steal Donna's explanation of them: YourMajesty:: About the Peeps; they are not quite as "gooey" and have a little more "substance" if you let them dry out a bit. Perhaps stale was the wrong word, I think maybe we mean dryed-out!!! Basically, that's it. I like them with a bit more "substance" when you let them dry out a bit.

Linzy, (I'm all nosey) what made you move to Texas? I guess because we're moving to S.C. in about 3 weeks I'm interested in what made/makes people relocate? :scratchin

Yea :Pinkbounc , Michele, so glad that Blake is home. His job sounds so exciting traveling all over the world like he does.

Well, DH is eyeing the computer (actually several times he's come in here with the "look" for the computer. ). So, I better say ciao until later. I guess I'll let him take his turn now.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday. I'll talk to you all in a little bit.

Good morning!

We took dm-inlaw to the train station yesterday and decided it was a good day to walk around Chicago. We ate at the Cheesecake factory! :goodvibes We shopped a little, Madison was on a mission to find a vest. She found one at one of the stores, but it was $80. I said, no way missy, keep looking! We finally found one that is a fake woolly furry one at the Gap for $20. :thumbsup2 It was funny how she pranced herself around the town in her new vest. :lmao:

Michele....I'm glad everyone made it home safely! I bet Blake is pooped! I can't wait to hear about his trip though. I loved the pictures of Matt. He is looking so old, which makes me feel so old. By the way, he does look a little like the kid from High School Musical! :)

Thank you 2x2, what a great breakfast!

Well gotta run :moped: . I've got to put a firecracker under dh butt so he will get moving on fixing the furnace. We are going to need it pretty soon. Luckily it is suppose to be warm for the next few days! :sunny:

Have a great Sunday!

Hi everyone :wave2:

I guess Jeremiah and I are officially off vacation now. We have to go to the grocery store, and some other errands today. :guilty:

Lesa- I LOVE The Cheesecake Factory! It is my favorite restaurant. I think I'm going to go there for my birthday next week!

Princess Tiff: It's not that I didn't 'like' Everest, I am just not a big rollercoaster thrill type person and I didn't like that big dip! I guess 'didn't like' wasn't the right word, because I thought the theming was great! I think maybe 2xcited & I will be taking the chicken exit on our Feb trip, just to see the theming before the actual ride. :teeth: :rolleyes1

Donna, you guys can still stay at POFQ! I think Lyzziesmom and I want to stay at a value, and like you said, we can meet up everyday. It's not that POFQ wasn't a nice resort; it just didn't have a 'Disney' feel to it like the others. I don't want to make someone not go there because of my opinion . :artist: I hope you get your internet fixed soon, how annoying is that!

I've never heard of eating stale Peeps.?? I've actually been known to thrown them out if they get stale! Maybe I should try it the other way.

April, in August when we drove from Florida to VA we stopped in South Carolina at that Beyond the Border or whatever its called hotel on the South Carolina/North Carolina border. It was fun.

2xcited, thanks for the french toast! Yum!!!

Well, I'm back from the shower. Came down to the basement to pay a bill, do my nails a bit and Dis(of course)!!!
DH did wake up a bit to complain about everybody staying so late last night..Nathan is still snoozing, bless his heart. He's too young to be up so late, but didn't want to embarrass him in front of the older kids by making him go to bed.

Ashley:: I hope you didn't think I was stressing over POFQ!! I didn't mean to sound that way. My problem is I have Champagne tastes on a Beer budget!! Translated that means, Deluxe taste on a Value budget!!!! :rotfl2: If my good sense kicks in I will probably be in a Value, too!!! :teeth:

It's such a beautiful day today. It makes me just want to go out and enjoy the gorgeous day...won't be too many left, I'm afraid!!

Hmmm, and I'm thinking I might be able to actually ride my favorite rides even though I'll have Emma along! :teeth: I'm a thrill ride junkie, so I usually have to skip all my favorites when it's just me and the kid(s). But since some of us might not want to ride anyway..... :rolleyes1

I'm thinking you will be able to ride the thrill rides, girlfriend. As long as Emma feels comfortable being entertained by one of us, everything will be great!!!
The first time I went to DL with Nathan in 2000, DH was so afraid to leave him(with my mother or cousins) while we rode some rides we didn't get to do so many things that I would have liked to have done. :sad2: Now that Nathan's 8 it's so great to be able to ride all the rides together!!! :goodvibes
I've never gotten to see the Beauty and the Beast show at MGM. Maybe Emma, Ashley and some others can see it with me while some others rides RNR or TOT!!!
eta::I've never even seen "The Voyage of the Little Mermaid". :sad2:

Whoo hoo!! My internet has been down most the day and I just got it working again :cool1:

I have been lost without it!!

I guess everyone is busy today, not many posts.

It has been boring around here. Blake slept until 11 this morning, bless his heart. And has been very sluggish all day. Unfortunately he hasn't been feeling well. I thought we might go out to the Rennaisance Festival. It was a nice day and it ends today. We haven't been since Bree was a baby. But no, he didn't want to go too far.

He is feeling better now, he and the boys have gone to the park to play tennis.

Has anyone made their reservations for Feb.? I really want to!! Lesa, when you are here this week we have to nail this down!!

Hi  YM, Donna, 2x2, Amber, Nicole, Ashley, Pozey, Lyzziesmom, Princess Tiff and everyone else I am missing :wave2:

WOW!!! What a beautiful day it was today!!! :woohoo: I guess everyone was out enjoying it. :sunny:
We bought Nathan a new mattress today. His old one is one I used when I was a teenager! It was beginning to be too soft for him. MIL is going to have to sleep in Nathan's room a couple of nights until her bedrom furniture gets here, so decided it was a good time to go ahead and get a firmer mattress.

Rumor has it our Wendy's is closing down, too. One of the father's brought it up at Cub Scouts yesterday. Our Jack in the Box is already closed.

Michele:: Where are you and Lesa thinking of staying? I"m getting anxious to make a reservation, too. I guess it's still early!

2x2s:: Did you find some shoes today? Less than 2 weeks, girlie!!! :woohoo:
So, what do yo think the weather will be like in February? What was it like when you went! Huh, Huh???

We went to Dairy Queen this evening. It was soooo yummy. I think it was only the second time this year I've been this is what I had!! A Pecan Mudslide!
PECANMUDSLIDE.JPG

Nathan had a Monster Cookie M&M Blizzard and DH had a Strawberry Sundae! We sat outside and enjoyed the lovely evening. The only improvement would have been if we were at WDW!!! :thumbsup2
