Who here is not in the "clique" like me? Part 2

pozey, wow the kids were moving fast? They DO look like they are just sitting there & posing! I wouldn't know what to do with an SLR camera (I don't even know what that stands for, other than a lot of extra money and more work). I hate when I have that perfect shot and I miss it because my camera has an attitude!

After much thought, I did end up calling DBF. His excuse this time: "It's only 8:30 in the morning, it IS early!?" Now I have had days where I have accidentally slept all day and thought it was still morning, but.... on top of everything else, this is pretty weak. I more or less laid down the law and told him I will not be disrespected any more, and patience is one thing but doormat is another entirely. He may be telling the truth when he says he does not hurt me "intentionally" but it doesn't matter on this end of things, it hurts whether it's intentional or not. So... things are still up in the air, and we will see what the next week or two brings, but I am done being the only one to put effort into this. Relationships don't just "happen" and I am leaving it up to him as to whether he wants to find a way to fit us into life.

Whew, I feel much better now that all that's out!!

Lin, don't you just love having a day off?

I'm off to try to get some sleep. Back to the grind tomorrow morning!

Don't laugh at me... I couldn't sleep because I just remembered I HAVE to buy new Disney Crocs for Feb!! I love my crocs (even wore them outside today - but only on the patio where the snow already melted) and need need NEED the red ones with the black strap! I don't like black ones... too hot & sweaty.

I'm no good at this talking to myself stuff.

Good morning everyone!!! :sunny: I hope you all had a good weekend and kept warm!!! (If you were in one of the areas that had snow/ice/freezing temps!!
I think this morning I'll fix a simple breakfast so we can all start our busy days!! :teeth:

Blueberry%20Muffins%203B.jpg

Hope you enjoy the Blueberry Muffins
Have a Magical Monday! :tink:

lyzziesmom:: Sorry to hear about the DBF. I hope he comes to realize what a great person you are. I'll leave it at that because I'll probably start sounding like your mother.
SLR means Sinlge Lens Reflex. What that means I have no idea, but I'll bet pozey knows! ;)

Don't forget those red Crocs for Feb.!!
mouth3.gif

Okay............... :teeth: Better get ready for work. See you all this evening.

pssst, Hi Donna!!!

I couldn't sleep and I'm off work today---so much for taking advantage of sleeping in on my day off. :confused3

thanks for the blueberry muffins----they look nice and cozey!! I think I'll enjoy one while it's hot out of the oven.

Good Morning :sunny: 2x2s!!!! Hope you enjoy your day off, Hun!!! pooh:

Good morning all--

I couldn't sleep either. Just been thinking about my meeting with the principle today.

Donna-- Thanks again for breakfast. Have a good day at work.

2x- Enjoy your day off! :yay:

Pozey-- great photo's as always. Don't you just love an SLR? I have an Olympus, not a Canon, but the clarity of the pictures is amazing! Looks like the kiddos were having a lot of fun!

Lyzziesmom-- I forgot to mention earlier that your photo's of the girls making cookies were cute!

DBF-- It sure sounds like this needs to end. You're obviously not happy with how its going and he doesn't seem willing to change. I'm sorry. I know it's hard when a relationship just isn't working anymore. :grouphug: It's also hard when someone you care about dissapoints and hurts you as well. :sad2:

Well, I'm gonna go get my coffee going and get breakfast together. Have a good day everyone.

good morning 2x :grouphug: sorry you couldn't sleep in.

lyzziesmom...glad you talked to him and told him how it is. I have to agree he's not doing his part! Gotta get those crocks :woohoo:

Donna...thanks for a wonderful breakfast, as always. I have to tell you that crock reminded me of our football game coming up...since we're playing the FL Gators :woohoo:

pozey...those pix are awesome. As always. Yes, they look like they're sitting still! I've been looking and the lady that takes all the football pix of Kenny told me to get the Canon 30d. I really want to get it before our trip in Feb. but I'm thinking maybe for my 30th b/d in April...I'll need time to practice before our next trip to wdw anyway.

have a great day everybody.

good luck today Yolanda :thumbsup2

I have no idea where I left off reading, so I'll just pick up where I think it was. Sorry if I missed anything.

Michele---wishing Blake a safe long trip back home. Today, right??
Good luck to Matt on his new meds. I'd be pretty upset as well if I made three unresponded calls to the dr's office!!

Oh my goodness, I missed all of the labor and delivery stories. Hugs to everything all you mommies went through!!!!

My dad was 2lbs. 15 oz. when he was born. He is only 60, but you have to be amazed at how the technology has even grown since then.

My sister had some major issues with Isabella and Gianni. Izzy was an emergency C-section (her cord was tied in a knot---which doesn't surprise us now with her personality--she probably got bored :teeth: ) and Gianni should have been but the dr. wasn't in but he called from his "golf outing" (no joke) and told them he'd be there in about 40 minutes and to have her try to wait it out. My sister had a gut feeling something wasn't right and insisted another dr. deliver him. He came out blue and was put into NICU at once. Luca was a piece of cake, according to her.

Nicole----OMG--you are a miracle!!! Your poor mother, going through this with you and your sister. Thanks for sharing your pics the other day, too because now we can see what beautiful girls both of you turned out to be!!
Wouldn't that be cool if we are all still in touch in 4-5 years?? :goodvibes :sunny:

Donna--I think I forgot to thank you for the pancakes yesterday. So, thanks!! Do you believe, that is what I really had yesterday??
Thank goodness your niece was a strong enough little cookie to be able to pull through this, too.

So far Luca is still doing okay. Thanks for asking. And yes, we wondered why such a long crazy party, too. She did admit to me that she was originally going to end it at 9pm. Thank goodness she changed her mind!!!

Yolanda----um, yes, a talk with the principal is definitely in order!!! This behavior in certainly NOT acceptable!! And, I can't believe the sub just brushed it off like that!!! :furious: Hugs to Keagan. :grouphug:

Welcome home Amber!!!!!!
So glad to hear you had a good time, despite the rudeness in people. Dale sticking his finger in your ear is too funny!!!! :lmao: :lmao:
And I'm sure you are not the only person who has left a ride "last second". ;) No worries.

April----oh my, I just glanced at your ticker!!!! How exciting!!! Don't fret about the DDP. Lyzziesmom explained it wonderfully and it is really easy to use. Snacks are well labeled. You can even use a snack for breakfast if you just want a bagel or muffin or something like that. Tell Steven that it is well worth the money you will be saving. I kept pretty good track at the end of each day of what we used. I hear the front desk CM's are really good about straightening out any problems, but we didn't encounter any. Very easy.

Lyzziesmom---they never did say why she wouldn't eat. I'm assuming because with all the infections, she had to have been feeling pretty icky and sick to her stomach. I know I would. She was just getting so weak and she is a frail little thing anyway. She did come home yesterday. :cheer2:

Thanks for the sharing the pictures of your baking extravaganza. Seeing pics of the girls always makes me smile. Your tree is beautiful!!

OMG--I just read about the pizza delivering Santa. Too funny!!!! Hey, a guy's gotta earn some extra dollars somehow, huh?? :teeth:

Okay, I just read about the DBF issue. I am sorry this is happening to you. Obviously he is not mature enough to be in a relationship. I was going to tell you to be the bigger person and show him the respect that he obviously doesn't deserve and know the meaning of by talking to him in person, either face to face or by phone (not text), but I see that you have already done that. You and the girls deserve so much better than this!!!! Let us talk to him, we'll set him straight!!! :furious:

Pozey----Colton was almost a month late????!!!!! Oh my!!!!! Your poor wife!! I'm glad you were able to be a part of their births. But, for some reason, we highly doubted you were the type of dad that waited in the waiting room and handed out cigars. ;)
Great pics of the kids in the snow!!!

Linda---I'm laughing about teaching you the ChaCha slide!!! Put it this way, I'm not sure I was taught correctly. It went something like this-----

Me: what do I do??
Gianni: you just do what they say.
so, we start clapping
Me: what do they mean by "how low can you go??"
Gianni: it means you get down on the floor like a worm.

:lmao: :lmao: ----uh, yeah, Aunt T can certainly do that. NOT!!!!! :lmao:

You have the CD?? Is it on a DCL CD, or a regular one?? My BIL has it on is iPod, hence the reason they were playing it at the party. They did this dance at my cousin's wedding years ago, so I will have to ask her at Christmas to help me "brush up". She is a professional dancer (ballet, jazz, tap) and teaches.
I grew up doing to hustle and the electric slide. :rolleyes1 :lmao: :lmao:
I bet ya Kenny is a hoot out on the dance floor!!!!

Lin---I just heard "Do You Hear What I Hear" yesterday and was going to add that one to my list. :teeth: I had forgotten about it. Your Rat Pack CD sounds amazing!!
Another miracle baby, you were?? :grouphug:
Did you not get to go to your sister's bridal shower?? Or am I reading this wrong??
I'm glad to see you at least got a day to yourself during this busy time.

Hi YM!!! I'll catch ya later.

Everyone have a good day. I am going to try to get some shopping done, hopefully. Oh shoot, I just remembered that I need to go get my oil changed in my car, too. Oh, those little annoying errands.
And, I need to call my niece----today is her real birthday.

Good Morning!

Thanks for the blueberry muffins Donna!

2X- Have a great day off running those errands!

Yolanda- I hope the talk with the principal goes good.

Have a great day everyone!

Gooooood Monday morning, no-cliquey cliquesters!

I just caught up from yesterday. aaaand...

Donna - another wonderful yummy breakfast! You never fail!

Lyzziesmom - I think you did the right thing in 'laying down the law'. I mean, he obviously isn't putting much effort into your relationship. I don't think you deserve the treatment you're getting, and may be time to move on. ((((((HUGS)))))) to you!

Pozey - I have a serious case of camera envy. Those shots are just fabulous. I particularly liked the very first one you posted of Courtney in your first post with the winter sledding pics. Thinkin' about going to the Fiesta Bowl, are you?
2X2S - that is WONDERFUL news about your Grandma!!! Enjoy your day off today, you deserve it! Very unique names your nieces/nephews have. Is your family Italian?

Amber - WELCOME BACK!! Glad your trip was good. :goodvibes

YM - I see your kids are still out. Getting cabin fever yet?

:wave2: EVERYBODY!

2x... I thought that might make you laugh :teeth: we play radio disney here at work sometimes and they all know I love that song. My boss just got back from disney yesterday. He's a disney nut too :goodvibes He's always saying the same thing...just do what they say... :confused3 YEAH...it's not quite THAT easy  . I haven't really done too many line dances. I usually watch :rolleyes1 With Kenny getting a little older, I think he'd love it. I'd go out and do it w/him :cheer2: I'll have to look. I went to Target and found every cd I could that had it on there. there were like 3 or 4 of them  I think it was a disney one but not the same version they play on radio disney.its not dcl. I don't think I've ever seen a dcl one. Now there is an idea! I think its a fun song. Maybe b/c it reminds me of the cruise :cloud9: yes, Kenny is a lot of fun on the dancefloor,he gets goofy!
Have fun w/the errands. Uhhh I hate oil changes. Thankfully Mike takes it for me now :cloud9:

Dznyfan...I'm w/you...camera envy! His pix are awesome!!

Mornin' chicas & chico!

Donna: mind if I pick the blueberries out of the muffins? They do smell good though! Have a nice day at work!

pozey: who is the dog in the pic? He looks so forlorn, like he really wants to come out & play.

2x: not sleeping in on a day off? At least you woke up to muffins. Hmmm, I have not seen the worm version of ChaCha Slide. We just boogie on down limbo-style during the "how low can you go" part. Lyzzie also has a version for in the car - neighbor's babysitter taught them. I suspect she made it up. Emma loves it, she will clap and jump through the whole thing. Happy Birthday to your niece, even if she does ChaCha like a worm.

Yolanda: good luck w/the prinicpal today. Give him/her a piece of your mind!

My new tires seem to work well - I only slid a little but that was on the solid sheet of ice that now passes for my street. We are gearing up for our first weekly departmental meeting today to hopefully whip this office into shape! The new HR lady is very nice and seems to work similar to how I do, so it should go well. I am keeping my fingers crossed that our new computers will arrive ASAP... to start up & get my email open this morning took SEVENTEEN minutes! That is unacceptable!

Thanks to you all for the great advice on DBF. I was all set to dump his sorry behind yesterday, and I just couldn't do it. But I didn't go easy on him either. So... we shall see. The plan is to have dinner tomorrow with the kids, and I am about to get tix for the Nutcracker, hoping to go on Sunday if tix available. Was going to go without him, but he really wants to go w/me & Lyzzie (Mom will watch Emma - ballet is not for 2 year olds!) so I told him he can go on the condition that we talk more often and see each other more often. Wish me luck with getting the tix!

That's Rosie. Yes, we hear the Rosie Pozey thing all the time. :rotfl2: But we didn't name her. We adopted her, and she already had the name. She's a sweet dog. She probably wanted to go back in the house and sit in front of the fireplace. :confused3

Donna........Thanks for the muffins!! Very tasty!

I had to go to the dentist this morning. I hate going to the dentist. Don't know why......I just don't like it.

I don't have much else to add to all the great advice everyone else gave. But I think it is a good thing that you laid it all out there and let him know how you felt. Hopefully, this will turn him around and things will get better.

Rosie Pozey - that's a classic! Tell Rosie I'm sorry I called her a he. I'm sure she gets that all the time.

I got my Nutcracker tickets! At least I think I did... a receipt page came up after I ordered online, and the charge went through on my debit card... however there is no instructions as to how/where/when to actually get the tickets. It did say, "You will be contacted by the box office to ensure you have the best seats available." Hmmm, odd. I agonized over how much to spend and which section to get. I really wanted the first section in the lower balcony, but I saved myself about $60 and went with the back of the orchestra section. The last (& only) time we went, we were 2 or 3 rows from the back! It was great... with binoculars. I like to be far enough away to see the whole stage, but close enough to see individuals. I think I made a good choice. It was still a bunch of money, but Lyzzie really loves the ballet and I know she will love it. I'm calling it an early Christmas present. I'll stop rambling now and go think of a QOD.

Afternoon everyone!

Well, I was all set to get Chris a suitcase on overstock.com since they have 1.00 shipping right now, I call my dad to ask him which of the two to buy and he tells me that him and my mom already bought him one! Back to square one! I did get him a new Foreman grill, the kind with removable plates.

2x, I didn't get to go to the shower. It was in MN and I couldn't get the whole weekend off or afford the airfare to go. I was sad that I missed it but Megan said it was a lot of time. Enjoy your day off! I'm off tomorrow and thats my finish Christmas shopping day...or so I say it is.

Dznyfan, you guys be careful on that ice! Make sure Erin is extra safe!

Yolanda, good luck with the Principal!

Darn, lost my post. Recap:

Updated Xmas card list, sent out. If you did not get it, I do not have your email. PM me with your email: Lesa, Amber, Angela, Lin, and Yolanda. Everyone else should get the list.

Hit a wrong DIS button and discovered I average 6.91 posts per day! Was going to use that as the QOD but decided it is stupid. So...

Cliqueless Question of the Day:

What is the stupidest (clean) joke you know?

Here is mine:

Q: What is brown and sticky?

A: A stick.

Alright, here is my favorite stupid joke.

A string walks into a bar and orders a drink. The bartender says to the string, "sorry, but we don't serve strings here." So, the dejected String walks to the next bar, orders a drink and is again told, "sorry, but we don't serve Strings here. The poor string walks to another bar and heres the same story again. So, the string leaves the bar, goes outside and messes up his hair. When he walks back inside the bartender says suspiciously, "Hey, aren't you the String I just threw out?" The String smiles and says, "No, I'm A Frayed Knot"

Heheheheh. Poor string.

I just PM'd you my email!
