Lyzziesmom - CONGRATULATIONS!!! That's wonderful news!

Linda - yay for you getting to do a land/sea vacation! I know you're used to the 7 night cruises, but the Wonder is a beautiful ship and four nights is a nice little jaunt. 3 nights is TOO short. I'm anxious to see the upgrades, too, but I guess we won't see them until May of '08. I wish we could've gotten to go on the cruise next year like we'd thought, but oh, well.

Linz - talking to a Disney recruiter? That's excellent news for you I hope.

Pozey, we DO need a windblown smiley - and BRRRR... then, it'll be warm again tomorrow.

I know it. I even have Mike hooked and that is REALLY saying something ::yes:: I can't wait to see it :hyper: So excited!! I'll take lots of pix for sure. May of 08'... maybe something will come up to change that. We keep saying not until xxx but then we started planning this trip and I started searching..and he agreed it was a great price and we should do it. It will be our one year anniversary in April, Kennys 6th b-day in Feb...and :ssst: I'll be 30 in April...so its a big exciting year...so it will be a great way to celebrate :cloud9: At least you have the points if you really have to go :woohoo: I'll have to look into that soon. Aren't they building a new location at the Contemporary? I'd still like OKW the best I bet.

I better get some more work done... :rolleyes1

Linda, now you're getting me all excited and wanting to do the cruise! I was hoping to do some sort of cruise w/the girls next year for my birthday, but we shall see how it works out. That would be awesome if they could lower the rates for a group trip! The problem I often run into is traveling as a single parent, which means either Lyzzie would have to pay a full adult rate, or I would have to pay a single supplement (basically pay for a 2nd adult who isn't there, so they can justify giving the room to a single traveler). I probably won't be able to do the cruise this time with such short notice, but I will still look into it and maybe do one later in the year!

Thanks to everyone for all the well-wishes on the job! I have decided to accept the offer. I talked to my boss, who in turn talked to HER boss, and they definitely are turning my position into part-time, so that kind of took the decision-making out of my hands. Now my boss wants to go work at the new place with me! (they are also hiring someone for the position she does) She also said that I can always come back if it doesn't work out, she has a feeling that management will miss me once I'm gone - a matter of them not really knowing how much I really do - and if I do come back, she will offer me more money. So it's really a win-win situation. I will miss seeing DBF here every day, but hey, we'll just have to go out more often to make up for it!

Sorry for the rambling, I'm just really excited!!

Hi to everyone else in our little cliqueless crew!

I agree too!

lyzziesmom...now you had my curiosity :) I had to check and you and the two girls on the combo should be 1700-1800 w/o airfare. If that helps. :rolleyes1 I'm so excited I can't take it!!! I know they keep changing the dates to have a passport too :sad2: I'm not going to worry about it for Feb. though.

Thanks Linda, that does help!! And it is VERY tempting too!

Well it's official, I accepted the offer and just printed out my resignation letter. I told my boss that I will expect a HUGE farewell party. :teeth:

I like the Christmas card exchange idea! I have never really done an exchange, can someone please explain how they work? Is it just that we all send each other cards, or is there more to it than that? I love making my own cards!

:rolleyes1 I'm assuming that is what you do :teeth:

way to go! I'm so glad you're getting a better position! That would be hilarious if your boss followed you!

Lyzziesmom...Congratulations on your new job!!!!

I came home from work today and found 2 packages waiting for me!! The first was a pair of pants from Lands End and the second was a turkey :confused3 I am a BUZZ agent and get things sometimes. I forgot that I had answered some questions a week ago and agreed to test a turkey. If I remember right this bird normally costs something like $40 and I got it free! :cool1:

The best part for the boys was that it still had some of the dry ice it was shipped in. They played with that for a long time. They love to make the spooky fog with it. Then Matt put smaller pieces into an empty water bottle then they put water in and replaced the cap quickly and threw the bottle into the backyard. The darn thing practically exploded. Well that's what it sounded like, I guess it just blew the lid off. Scared the poor cat to death!

Does anyone have any grand plans for the weekend?

Tomorrow the varsity football team will be playing their first ( and probably last) state playoff game. So we will be sitting outside watching that. Hopefully the weather will be nice. Sunday Nick has a retreat for his confirmation. Monday for Nick and I is a half day and we all have Tuesday off!! So next week is looking a lot better :cheer2:

Sorry Pozey ;) Go Tigers!!!

My plans for the weekend consist of going to a surprise party tonight for my cousin who is leaving for training to become a flight attendant. Then on Saturday I am going to a jewelry show, and on Sunday my SIL is leaving to go back to Germany for a few months. :(

Weekend plans: Lyzzie has a birthday party to attend at Michael's (craft store) tomorrow afternoon, and the family has been invited to a Halloween party tomorrow night. Sunday, possibly lunch with DBF and grocery shopping. Tonight... no idea. Probably catch up on tv watching and DISing and sleeping!

Awww, have I mentioned that I have the sweetest BF?? He just came back from his lunch break, and he went over to Best Buy and bought me a computer game that I wanted!

Linzy - I was just reading your post from this morning - WE were on the Wonder in December of '04! But it was early - like the first week of Dec. .
