Who here has ordered "The Grey Stuff" and what did it taste like?

We went last year right after Thanksgiving. ( We were some of the fortunate ones who got reservations). I asked for the Grey stuff and they brought me the grey stuff and DW, DD, DSIL & DGD got cupcakes. Afterwards I wished I had gotten the cupcake. :thumbsup2

I agree! So do we! All (most) of us adults love MK and become little children there, I'm no exception. BOG is one of our favorite restaurants. The ambiance is unbelievable ::yes::

I was merely talking about the special 'grey stuff' and saying, to us, it is nothing more than what I have made for years - end of story. This is my opinion and does not have to be the opinion of others. I am 'hopefully' posting on an 'adult' board, where we all are free to express our opinions, and not to little children (which I wouldn't do).

Slightly off topic (but a type) is when, on threads that discuss rides like the little mermaid at FLE, people discuss all they 'see' as unmagical, such as being able to see the 'workings' of the animatronics, etc. I hadn't noticed, but it was no big deal to me, and I enjoy the ride as much as ever.

I stated a fact about the grey stuff (which is true - not conjecture). I don't particular want any, would not turn it down, but has nothing to do with the enjoyment/excitement of eating at BOG, which we have done/will do on every trip we take there. :goodvibes

Actually, if you'll read my first post as well as the one you quoted when I answered another poster, it might clarify a little - wasn't looking to start a fuss, just an opinion.
Well yes, we're all adults. That has nothing to do with it really. Your first post just hit me as being very dismissive of the people who were having fun talking about this cool thing they'd heard about. I mean, really ... everyone here knows it's not anything culinarily remarkable. But it doesn't make people any less adult to think that it would be special or fun or magical to get to try it.

Sometimes it's the tone of a post -- not necessarily what's written -- that people react to.

We are having dinner there on our anniversary so I'm hoping we'll get to try it.

Yup. I kind of want to go just for that (well the whole experience, I hear it's beautifully themed), especially now that I hear it isn't a French delicacy. I haven't much liked the few French things I've tried. I chose CRT instead though. Good luck to all who try for it!

We ate dinner there on Saturday. We were celebrating a bday. We were told only one per table by our waiter.

There have been several posters that have basically said the same thing, that it's no big deal - see them above. If this is so upsetting, then some of the other threads on different things 'Disney' must really get to you.

I was not posting to get yours, or any ones, dander up, just stating the way it was to me. The magic doesn't get taken from me quite that easily. We 'love' BOG, as I said, and will continue to go there and soak up the ambiance. :)

The last I knew, we could all post our thoughts, opinions. I've said mine, you've said yours, done. :goodvibes

For those of you who don't have a 42" computer screen...

Here's that Grey Stuff photo from above with a slightly reeled-in size.

Wait.

You mean my portion won't be that big?

My sister and I asked in January. The waitress said it was for birthdays only and prompted us to say it was one of our birthdays. She happily brought it out and we enjoyed it very much! We agree with the dishes- its delicious!

I'd say its worth asking. The worst they'll say is no.
