Who here has been on Soarin' in DL?

I love this ride. Each time i ride on it I look for the hidden mickeys. No matter how many times i ride on it i always close my eyes when the gold ball with the hidden mickey comes flying at me.

I have only ridden this once, but I loved it! Can't wait to see the preview here in FLA.

I, my wife, and our kids all enjoyed the ride at DL CA back in 2001. Even though it would have been neat to have a whole new film made, the existing film is very cool. We're looking forward to the opening at EPCOT!

Its wonderfull!!!!

Its sort of like being on a hang glinder ride. Your lifted up in front of an IMAX screen. Every seet has a near perfect view and you almost feel like the only person in the auditorium. They squirt in differant smells that coincide with the scenes and music. Its really cool. At the same time, the ride mechanism moves kinda like star tours or body wars, but not as jarring.

Our whole family enjoyed the ride. The only thing that disappointed us was the quality of the film. We were expecting the resolution to be much better than it was. If they could improve the resolution of the film you would really feel like you were actually there.

Like all things, the attitude of the participants is a big factor. I was really excited about experiencing this ride and it DID NOT disapoint even though subsequent trips were less invigorating, they were still very entertaining (it is easily an 'E ticket' in my book) and I really felt like I was hang-gliding (but this is exactly what I wanted to feel like).

DB, I've never thought of this as being the "new" circle vision, but in a way it's tru although the effect of Soarin' far out does any excitement factor ever created by circle vision. So is it the new CircleVision? Yeah...Sort of...Maybe...Not really.

Soarin is a great attraction, however I rate it below an E. This attraction will draw a continual crowd to The Land pavilion. Does anybody know how they're designing the queue for this?

In CA they queue outside the building. Judging from what I saw last month, the entrance at the Land will be downstairs at the opposite end from the Living with the Land tour.

All I can envision are two big attractions with long lines housed inside a building and a mass of people at the food court right between them.

I am terrified of heights. Can you pick which "glider" you sit in? 45 feet up and I'd die. 3 feet up is about my limits! I really want to ride but I am scared. :(

You can ask for row C, but there's still a pit in front of the screen, so you're still up around 10-15 feet at least.
