I'm full of questions tonight.

Can someone please tell me what you hear in those little drive-thru headphones? Is it just the orders? Or is there other stuff?

Sometimes I think these people are listening to some really psychedelic music on those headphones - they're all spaced out.

I worked at a Tim Horton's that was inside a Wendy's (and used the same headsets as Wendy's) ... We heard the customers, and there was also an intercom so you could talk with a co-worker who was wearing a headset but may have been in a different part of the bldg. No music.

When I worked at one, they didn't have the headphones yet.

HAHAHAHHAHAHA

I DID! I worked at Taco Bell for 7 years! (through high school and when on college break - don't laugh - good money - even made it up to a shift manager - not bad for a part time job)

anyway - stuff I would hear on the head phones - and yes, as soon as you pull up to the ordering speaker we CAN hear you.

1. moms yelling at kids
2. burping/farting.
3. as soon as they pull up "HELLO? HELLO? I'M WAITING!!!" (ok - wait 2 seconds please?)
4. many many swear words
5. your radio, and only your radio - turn it down please!
6. some voices that I would never want to go through life having (don't flame me for that - please!)
7. arguements...please...a few tacos ain't going to save your marriage if you're calling your wife a *itch.
8. "What? I'm not at McDonalds?"
9. Do you have tacos? (um, lady- I just said "Welcome to TACO bell...what do YOU think?"

i could go on and on...

Hey Wolvrine where was the Timmies you worked at? My wife is a Manager at Wendy's here in London she laughs at what some people say thinking that no one can hear them.

Thanks for the warning Stinkerbelle. Now I know I can't call the speaker voice any names or they'll hear me.;)

DSNY - I was at a Timmies in Ann Arbor, MI ... one of the first ones to migrate south of the border.

also - don't ever every "whip it out" and urinate on the drive-thru speaker...really screws up the sound.

yes...I have witnessed this...

They are directing air traffic in between orders. Very busy people!

Hehehehehe...Stinkerbelle...I know EXACTLY what you are talking about. I used to work at Burger King, and since I was so good at Drive thru, I ALWAYS had to work it.

Lets see, people showing up at the window on foot, skateboard, or bicycle. A big no no..

People who would leave there windshield wipers on in driving rains, getting me soaked even more than I already am.

People who would change there order 50 times.....One diet coker...err no...one orange...no make it diet...wait...you have milkshakes?

People who would order 40 bucks worth of food in the drive thru, and there is no line in the store.

If there had been music playing over the headphones in between orders when I worked at McDonalds, we wouldn't have gotten anything else done. :p

I remember once I was working the cash booth, I had to ask the customer at my window to turn his CB radio off because it was coming through on my headset when he was talking and I couldn't take the order at the speaker.
