I'm planning a trip in May and considering off-site(I have 4 kids). I can't imagine spending my vacation in my 6 yr old beat up van. I like to park it and not see it again until we go home.Does anyone know if DD resorts have same shuttle schedules as the Disney Resorts? Thanks for the info!!

No, the Downtown Disney hotels do not feature WDW Transportation, however, they do have their own shuttle services--although they are usually, from what I understand, not quite as frequent or as convenient. I'm no expert, however. I will be moving this post over to the Transportation Board, as well as leaving it here, in order to get you the best responses possible.

There are some drawbacks. Shuttles from off-site hotels are not allowed to use the Disney bus stops. They must drop and pick up passengers at designated spots in the parking lots. At MK they drop you at the TTC. Since there are no benches or shelters at these designated spots the wait for a shuttle can be uncomfortable.

If you miss your shuttle when leaving the parks, you are on your own. Most hotels will not send another one for you.

Also, it pays to ask specific questions in advance. For example, find out if they use one shuttle bus to go to all the parks. If so, this is a round trip of about an hour and a half.

Still, many people use the shuttles and are okay with them. They can get you to the parks and back.
