Cardboard Disney Gift Cards

When you scan the barcode with an app does it give you a number? Do parts match what you have? Then you’re probably good to go.

If you peeled off any of the security code you can’t use it online, only in person.

Do you still have the part you peeled off? Paste it to a piece of paper and scratch it, might get the numbers off it.
When I scan the bar code, it just gives me the number below the bar code. Did I misunderstand some of these posts that Scandit would be able to help at least obtain the Account number?

I understand if I don't have all the numbers on the back of the card, using it where it can be physically swiped is the only option. (If it has a QR code, it can be used at a register where the QR can be scanned.) But its a $500 card I was going to use to pay part of my reservation. Sure I could have saved it for use in the parks (I'm going to be buying food, souvenirs, etc.) but I wanted to pay my trip off first, then get GC's for in park use closer to the trip.

I was able to push down the parts that pealed up, and use the blade of a pair of scissors to scratch off, and thankfully I was able to make out the rest of the account number. I was able to use it to pay my reservation.

Luckily this only happened with 1 of the 9 cards I purchased. And I'm glad I kept some old plastic cards, as I'm not sure how well these cardboard ones will hold up in rain, or when sweating during the summer at Disney.
