Who has used Motion Eaze?

I did the Bonine last cruise and it did help my queasy tummy, but I still felt every movement of the ship. This time I am going to start taking it a few days before the cruise so I'll be prepared.

Can you drink while taking Bonine?

I'm not a doctor, but I'm sure one or two alcoholic beverages would
be ok. I stuck primarily to soda and the occassional pina colada and a couple other fruity drinks and was fine. I still felt the movement of the ship at times, but was not queasy after starting the bonine. I did the patch on our last cruise and had a dry mouth but never got sick. This time around I felt kind of disoriented with the patch on and wound up getting sick too before taking it off and switching to bonine.

I would ask your children's pediatrician to be sure about proper dosages of Bonine for their weight. I had asked our ds5's Dr. about what to give him if he got seasick and she suggested either Benedryl or 1/2 a Bonine. He was fine on our last Disney cruise, but I was worried about the excursion boats since he has gotten sick before on small boats. My ds5 is little for his age too...about 33 pounds and 41 inches. He hates medicine, but took the Bonine and chewed it up without a problem.

I just saw in Parenting Magazine that Bonine now comes in Child dose. Haven't checked for it in the stores yet...

I noticed that Bonine is coming in child doses now too. Our local pharmacy didn't have it, but our super Walmart does. I'll be sure to buy a pack before our fishing trip next month! DS5's never made it on a fishing boat without getting sick, so we now have hope! At least with buying the children's Bonine it would be perfectly suited for kids with whatever dose they recommend per age/weight. I had not spoken with ds's doctor before we went fishing last year and was too worried to give him an adult Bonine and not sure of the dosage so we didn't give him anything. I had never seen any human being as green as he got! When I saw him getting the same color on the boat to the Anguilla dolphin excursion I knew we were in trouble!

Sorry if I missed this but where do you get the wristbands and how much do they cost?

If you are referring to the SEA BANDS....most stores like Wal-Mart/Target/KMart as well as CVS and Walgreens!!! Sea Bands run about $10.00 for the pair!!!!!

Now if you are looking for the EXPLORER RELIEF BAND...I bought mine at Drugstore.com! Relief Band is roughly $70.00!!!!

:thumbsup2

how do the "sea bands" work? I saw them for about 7.00 in my local drug store. I would need 3 - 1 for each of us, or I would need to buy 2 boxes of bonine. The bonine is cheaper but which is more effective?

The Sea Bands are similar to wristbands that are supposed to press against the pressure points on your wrists. I guess it's a matter of opinion as to what works best. I haven't tried everything so I can't say. I think many years ago, on a SCUBA trip to the keys, I tried the Sea Bands and don't recall them working for me. I'm sure other people have had better results. I've never tried the Explorer Relief Bands, those sound intriguing.
