I am interested in knowing the geographic distribution of DVC Members. I would like to ask how far people have to travel to get to WDW. I am flying out of Seattle. Is there anyone farther than that?

No, but coming from Salt Lake City is definately a long enough flight for me! Thank HEAVEN for direct Delta flights! In the 9 years we have lived here we have only gone to DL one time (and loved it), but have taken at least 8 trips to WDW. I have to go back because grew up in Boston and WDW is just the place for me even though everyone around here thinks we are nuts!!! We sure hate the flight though! Seattle must be a L O N G day!

Portland, OR :teeth:

We have been to WDW 3x already this year. We are getting used to the flights.

We keep our eyes on how full our planes are and try for a bump whenever possible. We like to use the vouchers for our next trip! ;)

I fly from Sacramento, so its a full day since we have to make a connection and there is no direct flights. It seems to be like a true vacation when we have to travel so far, lol. Its worth it though!

We travel the long trek from So Cal. We use DL to get a quick fix, but we are Epcot fanatics, so we endure the cross country flight to visit our favorite place.

However, we are moving next month to Cary, NC!! :flower: Only a 10 hour drive or a short hop (compared to what we had to do to get to WDW). :cool1: Thank goodness we just added on points!! I see more trips in our future!

I travel from Orange County, Ca. I also need my Epcot fix and my Adventurer's Club fix. Kungaloosh!

Lilo is our neighbor ;)

We travel from Honolulu and find that the 10 hour flight is worth it!

Uk here too :)

If we can't get a charter flight from a nearer airport, we have a 4 1/2 to 5 hr drive to London before the 8hr(ish) scheduled flight. Yes, it's worth it! ;)

Believe our international members travel the farthest to get to DVC. IIRC, we have members from South America and Austrailia in addition to the many from the UK!

Best wishes -

We are from Seattle and try to go down 2 times a year. The nonstop on Alaska sure helps. I can't imagine traveling from anyplace farther or worse - going back home!

Another UK person here!

We have a four hour jouney to Gatwick, an overnight stay, then a nine hour flight and then we get to WDW / DVC. And it's worth every second of the trip!

We're also looking into moving to Cary, NC! We visited last fall, and I really like it there. Good luck with your move!

We're not the farthest DVCers (central Mass) but we drive so it FEELS like we're that much farther! I've got to call DH's doctor and get him "something" to knock him out so we can fly, lol. :scratchin

We fly from London, England. A long journey plus horrible jet lag when you get home but worth it!!!

AUSTRALIA! 4 different flights to get there & I am frightened sick when flying! (of course it is all worth it). From our city of Kalgoorlie (Western Australia) it is a 1 hour flight to our state capital Perth (even though it is actually the wrong way to where we need to go). We have to do it thru Perth as we don't have flights that go from Kal to the Eastern States. So from Perth it is then another flight (4 & 1/2 hours)to Sydney, then flight 3 is Sydney to LA (a lovely, mind numbing 13 & 1/2 hours) & then flight 4 is LA to Orlando (5 hours?). Add in to that all the stopover times & it is bloody awful. The things we Disney lovers do for our fix!

Oak Harbor, Washington checking in. All I can say is thank you Alaska Air. Between the two hour drive to the airport, in good traffic, and the 5 hour plane ride, it sure makes for a long trip. I think the UK has us beat through.

:moped:

Its great to hear from World wide guests. :wave2:

Guess a drive from Atlanta doesn't count here, huh? It can take seven hours or more with stops... :flower:

1) You guys do travel a little way.
2) But I think I travel the furthest !
3) I have to travel from the Real World to the Disney World.
4) Sometimes that is a powerfully long trip !

A 1 1/2 hour drive to the airport in London, then 8-9 hour flight to MCO and the BCV. Is it worth it - yes - but the jet lag is dire on the way home again, and the older I get, the worse it gets!
