Who has the best ticket prices/perks if not staying onsite?

Just tickets: last minute travel. Getawaytoday has good prices too. AAA tickets come with free parking if you plan on driving to the park.

Vacation packages: Costco is pretty good. Free character meal voucher per person and $20/package.

We don't usually stay onsite and found AAA to have the best prices, unless you work for a big company, then they have really good discounts for tickets. Any 3 day or longer hopper will get you a Magic Morning.

We stay close enough to walk so we don't pay for parking.

I actually found out just yesterday that Arestravel has cheaper tickets than Getawaytoday. I am still stalling on purchasing tickets though, hoping for a good discount on Disney gift cards somewhere (maybe Sam's?). I need to get on it though... our trip is next month.

One of the best deals I saw, was a a special offer at Albertson's Grocery Stors. Buy $100 in Gift Cards and you recieved a coupon for $20 of free groceries. So it worked out since I need groceries.

When you say cheaper, what is the actual difference?

So if I purchased $400.00 in Disney gift cards, I would get $80 of free groceries?? Holy Moly!!! I am all over that one!! I'll have to check our local Albertsons...

That is how it worked. I doubt they have this deal currently but have done it in the past.

I don't know if this is true currently, but I once thought to use Ares for tickets and found that they actually came out to be more because they added on a service charge, so just be cautious about that.

ETA: just checked their site and even with the $2 service fee per ticket it's still a good price.

Yes Ares is good too. Also getawaytoday has good packages with 3rd or 4th night free deals. And you don't have to get the tickets to get the deal for those that have APs or are getting tickets through other sources.

Last minute travel doesn't seem to have them anymore, which bums be out because they were about $120 less for our family!

LMT deals seem to come and go, at least from past experience. Good luck.

I would get $200. :woohoo: Too bad all of our Albertsons' all went out of business.

They offered it last year around Thanksgiving time or shortly there after so if they do it again it will be coming up again. They also did it this spring as well.

Sam's Club had $100 gift cards for $98.98 last year with a free $10 disneystore.com gift card. The disneystore GC would not be used in disneyland but could be used online at disneystore.com. I bought some T shirts for our trip.

When I started a thread about this last Spring, someone did mention that another chain has a similiar offer, but it was half as much. $10 for $50 in GCs. It may of been a Ralphs or Safeway because I remember it being a chain in California.

Like above check other places. I'd like my Smith's to do a deal like this because I primarily shop there and they have lots of GC options. I could get hotel, gas, dining GC's and some Disney GCs too, it would cover every aspect of a trip.

One result of me buying all of those GCs, is I had to spend the coupons on food. Dollar wise it worked fine, but I'm still using the chicken breasts that I bought and froze.

I agree with you about Smith's. That is where I do all my shopping too. We also have Albertsons as well. I did the GC deal this last spring and actually made cash on it. I purchased 5, $100 disney GC and the Catelina didn't print. I spent 1 1/2 hours in the store with the store manager trying to get it figured out. He eventually gave me $100 in cash plus $20 cash for the inconvenience. I put it all in my disney fund. Not too bad for $80 an hour.

I just got our tiks for January fromFlight Centre. It is a Canadian company so prices are in cdn dollars. I don't have the breakdown in front of me but total for 2 adults, 2 kids was $812 for a 6 day hopper. They had the best prices compared to AAA and Ares.
