Who has Netflix?

I was thinking of trying Netflix, because we just got a BluRay player, and the movies are kind of expensive to buy. Anybody use Netflix, and how do you like it?

We've been members of Netflix off and on since 2003. Their service has improved tremendously since the earlier years. Right now we have the 2 at a time membership and we always seem to have a movie available to watch, considering our hectic schedules.

I've never tried BlockbusterOnline or any other mail order membership so I don't have much to compare it to. But I will say that Netflix is much cheaper and more convenient than renting at the local video stores.

It is pretty inexpensive and you don't have to burn gas to go to the video store We get our movies in about a day so it is fast. Hope this answered your question.

We have a 3 at a time plan, one for DD, DH, and myself. We each have our own lists and it works out nicely. It's under $20 a month for us, which for the amount of movies we watch is much cheaper than Blockbuster or a local store. The turnaround is pretty quick, (2 days, maybe 3) so we're happy with them overall

I like it. Most months I more than get my money's worth out of it. When my schedule gets hectic it's nice to know I don't have to worry about late fees if I don't get to watch a movie for a few days. Turnaround time is usually only a couple of days.

Same here. Sometimes it'll be a week until we can watch the movie. And sometimes we'll all watch the movie at different times, depending on our schedule. We have the "cheap" plan...2 movies a month, one at a time. That's about all we're able to watch anyway!

We love Netflix ... we tried Blockbuster but they take FOREVER! I can get a movie from Netflix on a Monday, return it on Tuesday and have my new movie two days later. From Blockbuster it's taken over a week to get my next movie. Plus the Blu Ray is a GREAT value. I say at least do the two week trial for free. And just to be safe, do a two week trial on both of them and see which one you like best!

We love it! Convenient, easy & no "oops" I forgot to return the movie so what will the additional charges be. I've had a movie for a couple of weeks and no problems. You also get the new releases pretty fast!

we just got netflix last month and LOOOOOVE it! DD(10) watches for the red envelopes in the mail and when we get one she always asks "what did we get, mama?" LOL

Netflix is great- very fast turn around, and we've never had a problem getting new releases quickly- our problem is we often forget to return the ones we've watched, so we'll sit down on a Friday evening to watch a movie and find we don't have anything new. There are some months we don't get our monies worth out of it I'm sure, mostly because we forget, or can't find enough movies worth watching to put on our list.

We get three at a time, and that allows my DD to put one on the list, my boys to put another, and I get one I like. Doesn't always work out perfectly. Anyone have a better system?

Anyone get anything worth watching from them lately?

We love Netflix and have been members since 2003. Sure beats going to the local movie rental places and hoping what you want to rent is there and hoping you get it back in time. We have the 3 per month plan.

We have been members for about 3 years and we really like it. the turn around is always quick. We have received broken discs maybe 3 times. We like that there are a lot of classic movies and tv series to rent as well as new movies. I also take advantage of the instant watch feature frequently. That reminds me I have two movies here to watch so thats what I'm going to do now.

I have it and I love it! I have the 2 at a time plan, which comes with unlimited movies online, too. They don't have a lot up on their online movies/t.v. shows, but they have enough to keep me busy if I'm at work and I need entertainment. Turnaround is great. Usually takes 2 days. I love it and highly recommend it!

We've had netflix for the past few months and it works out great for us. We have the 3 at a time plan and therefore almost always have a new movie to watch.

We do the exact same thing---3 all together, and one for each of us.

I've enjoyed Netflix and especially like being able to get T.V. shows (right now I am into "The Love Boat") that I want to see again but don't necessarily want to buy. Also, it helps when my daughter wants to watch the same thing over and over again. I don't want to buy "A Pup Named Scooby-Doo", so I get the show from Netflix and keep it until her interest passes, sometimes a week, month, or 2 months later.

Give it a shot, and if you don't like it, it's easy to cancel.

Oh, I forgot. It's kind of fun to get something in the mail besides bills. Also, my daughter has been sick for the past few days, and being housebound, it's great to be able to have since we can't make it to the video store.

We've been considering Netflix for some time and just kept putting it on the back burner. After reading these replies, my DH and I just signed up. :goodvibes

We have the 3 at a time plan and we love it. We pay $17.16 a month for the plan. Always have a movie to watch when we want.

I joined about 3 mos ago and I LOVE IT. I upgraded to 2 at a time so the kids and I both have something at all times. DD can keep her fave movies as long as she wants, I'm constantly updating my lists- it's fun! Turn around time is about a day- I send it on Monday, I'll get a new one Wednessday. Also, free unlimited online movies, and this fall, they have an agreement with XBOX, which we already have, so we can stream the movies to the TV!

:cool1:

I've had Netflix and Blockbuster, even had them both at the same time at one point because I wasn't sure which one I was going to stick with.

For me Blockbuster wins hands down... I don't know if it would be that way if I didn't have the option of dropping off blockbuster at the store for a in store trade in... but with the in store trade in I can average almost twice as many movies a month as with Netflix.

You should also be aware that in the past Netflix has engaged in throttling of accounter where they will sit on your next movie for a while because they think you are getting too many per month. As far as I know they are still in a big lawsuit on it.

I love our Netflix membership. It's easy to move between plans if you want more or less.
Right now, we're at 1 at a time during the summer and it's just right. In the fall we'll move it up to 2 and during the winer we move it up to 3-4 at a time.

My DD's get their choice once a month to pick from the Children's section. They get movies from the library, so we get our picks the rest of the month.

It only takes a day for turnaround and we always have movies on our list.
