We have an 8:00 a.m. ADR at Donald's Breakfastasaurus next Tuesday (non-EMH) day. We would normallyl drive to AK.

I know there were problems getting into the parking lot early enough when the park doesn't open until 9:00 a.m., but I had also heard that they had discontinued the early a.m. buses.

Has anyone been recently and can tell me what really happens?

TIA!

We have an 8:20 am on Monday, 8/28 and was wondering the same thing. However, we are not renting a car and will need to use Disney transportation.

Thanks!

They haven't discontinued the buses. They wouldn't offer the early character breakfasts if no one could get to the park to attend them.

I had a reservation at 8:00 in May. We got into the parking lot just fine, had to walk to the gate, but that was fine since we were in the first row. All in all, I think we ended up about 10 minutes late since there was only one bag check and one turnstyle open plus the hike to Dinoland. They had no problem with this and still seated us.

On another note, I did not like the 8 AM seating and when I do Donald's again, it will be a later seating, like the 10:30 one I had the first time I went there

We had an 8 am seating on May 30th. We were at the bus stop at All-Star Music at 7am. Bus showed up about 7:10 am. We were at Animal Kingdom by 7:30 am. Waiting in line to enter the park at 7:35. They checked our name on the list about 7:50 am and let us walk back toward Dinoland.

We were seated by 8:05, were finished eating by 8:40 and at rope drop by Dinoland by 8:50. They dropped the rope at 9:00 exactly and we were on Expedition Everest on the first train by 9:05!!

As we were walking toward EE, and about 50 feet before we got to the entrance, my son says walk faster, and I'm like "huh", and I look over, and sure enough there was literally a WALL of people coming in behind us from the main entrance.

We always eat an hour before opening and have never had a problem getting into the parking lot. We usually drive ourselves, but have also taken a cab.

Maybe the person that the OP talked to meant that they weren't running parking lot trams early in the morning. Sometimes people mistake these for the buses. The same thing happens at the TTC lot early in the morning. You have to walk to the gate rather than taking a tram.

I'm hoping that there isn't a problem either as we have early Donald reservations in November.

If you drive to an early morning ADR at AK, park at the Animal Kingdom Lodge (get into the left lane and bear left instead of entering the toll plaza area). Take the bus from there. Never queue up for the toll plaza in a fashion you cannot (I did not say may or may not) weasel out or chicken out forwards or backwards after lots of other cars arrive.

For the first serveral rows of arrivals in the morning, it is usually quicker to walk to the concourse or park entrance than to wait for the tram.

OT: You're on the beach and without warning there is a tsunami.
