Who has gone to Ohana's @ 9:30pm?

I can tell you all to keep trying. I am going in May and for the last 4 months all i could get was 9:00 or later and i wasnt going to do that becasuse DD (4) would be so tired her face would be in her plate and mine probably too. I tried last night Online and got a 6:45 PM dinner ressie. Keep Trying back

That's great news! When in May are you going?

Is Ohana still full of kids late on? I know the entertainment finishes at 9.30, but would it still be busy (and noisy!) come 8.30 - 9pm?

Thanks!

8:30pm-9pm is actually prime time at Ohana for families. Wishes is at 9pm for the majority of the year and you can see the show from the main dining room. They turn down the lights and pipe in the music.

We have reservations at 'Ohana for 9:50 PM the first day we're there, May 23rd(walk down main street, new mouse ears and 'Ohana are our first day tradition). Wishes luckily starts at 10PM that night, so we made it just in time.
I checked to see if they had any other availability that night and they are booked solid from 7-11.

Sooo, I think we can count ourselves fortunate that we even got evening reservations!! :thumbsup2

I hope that you get seated on time for Wishes, but don't count on it. We've always had to wait at least 10-15mns to be seated at 'Ohana, plus most people will not leave their tables 10mns before the show.

We also have reservations at 'Ohanas on 5/23 but for 9:30. Since it will be our second night at WDW and my kids are 8 and 5 we are thinking about going to DTD instead and eating at Ragland Road. If I cancel I will let you know before I do it so you can jump on our time slot, or I can give you our ressie number so you can be seated earlier

Just wanted to give everyone an update on my ressie. Last night around 11pm I was playing with my phone and said let me check Ohana's opening for our night. I put my phone down and lo and behold there was a opening for 8pm I couldn't believe it, but guess what...My phone froze and went running to my computer to book it and it was gone. The funny thing is .....I tried on my phone and it was still there....I booked it! I am so HAPPY! I know this story was kind of long but I wanted to let you know!! =):cool1:

Just wondering because this is our reservation time in May. Was the service the same? How about the food? Thanks so much!

We haven't gone that late, but we did have a reservation at 8:45, and were there until 10 at least. It was still packed when we left but there was no longer anyone waiting to get in.
Food was great, no problems there. Our server was run off his feet and we barely saw him. Our salad had no dressing.. like pretty much just veggies in a bowl.. I couldn't taste any dressing at all. By the time we saw him to rectify it, everything else had been delivered so we were full.
We also didn't get bread, but I think the person who sat us was supposed to get that.
We still enjoyed ourselves.. service was a bit spotty, but we had the same guy 6 months earlier and it was the same at 6pm.

'Ohana is full of kids all the time. But it appeared it was not nearly as noisy when the entertainment ended. Maybe the last maraca parade was so loud that the ordinary restaurant noise seemed pretty quiet by comparison.

it is our preferred time to go to Ohanas and Kona b/c you can watch the fireworks on the beach, normally at 9pm and the waterparade, then go in for dinner! the food is always as good as earlier, we have done early too. Sometimes the service wasnt as good.. like b/c they say they were out of hot towels and wetnaps but then another waiter i flag down brings us a whole bowl of wetnaps.. which dont compare to the nice hot towels. Other times the service has been fine. Last time our server was so busy he just flew by our table to bring refills and i didnt even get to ask for a straw. He spent a lot of time chatting casually with the table right next to us, party of 8. We were party of two. I dont like how party of two often gets the 2 person tables, which makes sense, but NOT with all the bowls they bring you.. there is no where for it all to fit and bowls have to be tilted.

The only 4 person reservation I was able to get for 'Ohana's is 9:30pm too (on 4/17) and I am more concerned with parking at the Polynesian. It's stuff like that the stresses me out. I dread stalking the lot or following people to find a spot.

Does anyone have a clue as to how large the Poly lot is and if it will be difficult to find a parking space? I was almost thinking of parking at the TTC lot and just taking transportation over, but why pay when I don't need to. SO TORN!

I was secretly hoping that after 9pm Disney wouldn't even be charging to let people park in the MK lot, but that is probably too much to ask.

Anyway. A thanks to anyone who has experience with the parking situation and doesn't mind sharing!

The lot at the Poly is pretty big, but on the off chance that it was full just park at the TTC and walk over to the Poly. Take you 7 minutes, tops.

I just now checked this thread again, that is very generous of you! If not, I still really appreciate that you even offered. I love this place, so much Disney cheer and magic. :thumbsup2

We're thinking about showing up early, around 9:20-30 or so to see if we can squeeze in early. It worked out well for us last time. I'll be sad if my butt isn't in a chair before Wishes starts, it's one of my favorite memories from our first trip.
