I am curious if you have changed plans based on the newest FD rumors? If so, what have you changed?

I'm not judging or saying that would be good or bad so no flames please. I'm just actually curious. :)

I am in a blackout date and not in a position where I can change or at least not where it would make sense to. If I was I might change though. I'm not sure. I was sitting here thinking would I do it or not?

That prompted me to ask, ok who's changing???

I specifically planned my dates based on crowds and special events going on (as in avoiding them), so I'm pretty sure we'll be fine as far as blackouts go. I'm sure people have changed, though I can't imagine doing it personally.

I'm a newbie and never knew about discounts, offers, pin's before I came here, I am also in the blackout of oct 15-22 and not in the position to change stuff either, I got our flight at such a deal is one reason, halloween tickets bought, certain ADR's aren't available for the days if I switched, I've looked into it and ya not happening, it sucks but it is what it is. I go from being super bummed out about it to thinking eh, just pretend you were oblivious to it all like before and it won't matter but its hard lol.

I am booked the 16th-21st and have my tickets to the MNSSHP too, I am trying to pretend that I don't know about all this either! A room discount would make me feel a little better! Throw us a bone!:cloud9:

We're checking-in at the end of October (a day before the rumored start date). I, for one, am not going to switch as I originally booked with a package pin code & honestly don't want to go thru the hassle of switching everything around. However, my niece just changed her plans completely based on this rumor and I told her she was C-R-A-Z-Y. She had a moderate booked earlier in October during a rumored black-out date (and I believe she had a 25% pin code). She then called Disney on Friday, changed her dates to now check in the last week in October at the BC hoping that she could then apply the FD when the announcement is made. She then went ahead & changed her flights too. She's a gambler, I think she's nuts and told her so & now she's a little freaked out at the thought that the dates on this rumor could be wrong.

Um yeah that is a little over the top. :scared1: I really hope everything works out for her.

That's exactly what I told her...I also just found out that a co-worker just changed her dates too based on this rumor too :confused3 for the life of me, I just don't understand why anyone would go and make significant changes based on "hearsay"...I'm all for saving a buck but come on.

We had absolutely no plans of staying on-site at Disney without a discount off the rack rate, so we haven't booked anything yet. We will see what exactly the promo is and then decide where we want to stay. There will be lots of rooms available. I personally don't think there is a big panic to book a room. It will probably be Friday or Saturday before we book.

I have changed my plans but not only due to the FD issue. We were already going to Orlando for a week starting on 12/10 and planning on going to Disney for 3 full days, staying on property. I booked the end of the week (which also would be FD) in a Value but noticed that none of the parks looked like they were open past 8 except for MK with the Christmas Party which I have no desire to experience again. Changed plans to a Moderate starting on Sat when we get there due to the extended evening hours and hopefully FD. If this does not happen, may change to a Value but not sure at this point. Going with a Disney newbie who will not appreciate the commando approach so want a few more hours in the parks just experiencing them especially the night time holiday lights, etc. It will be interesting to see exactly what happens:)

I will change our dates if it is released tomorrow. I have everything planned out and booked the 4 ADR's we want during our trip. However I still kept my original ADR's and resort ressies for our original FD package I have booked. I will be canceling one of them tomorrow. Hoping it is released as we are currently booked 9/24-10/5 @ POP (only place aval). But hoping for 10/2-10/12 @ CBR. So our dates are only a week apart but work better for us. Either way we're going. And airfare will be purchased tomorrow so no turning back!!!

I've changed our plans based on this rumor...which is TOTALLY against my better judgment. :headache: We are currently booked 10/13-18 at the Poly with all of my carefully planned ADRs in place but I have made additional ADRs for the 1st week in October if, in fact, this rumor proves true. Airfare has been booked, but it's through SWA, which has no change fees. FD would save us close to $600 as a family of 4, and we would just have to pay the increased airfare fees of $40/pp ($160.) Well worth it, IMO. The fabled devil on my shoulder says "Do it!" but the angel on the other shoulder tells me not to make the airfare switch yet, just in case.

Either way, I'm probably headed to the nuthouse. :rotfl:

Well we originally we planned for Oct 17th-24th. But I haven't booked anything yet (except ADRS), have been holding out for the FD offer. Those days are blacked out, but I think we're gonna change to the 24th-31st because it starts on the 23rd, according to the rumor. I quick booked my ADR's for the week. Once the dates get confirmed then I'm gonna book everything, and cancel my ADR's for which ever week we don't go. And all I can say is thank goodness for TouringPlans! :)

I have changed my plans from not going before APs run out (dec 19th) to getting 1 more trip in .. If FD, or a gooooood AP code comes out for time I can go with DD6 only missing 2 days of school...
...Does that count?

(for the record I have not yet told my DH.. :rotfl2: )
nor would I buy air or anything until after this is in stone.

After running the numbers, my current bounceback deal at CSR Nov 26th-Dec 4th beats free dining, plus I already have air fare bought, so I'm sticking with what I have. I'm also an AP holder, so qualify for the TiW card. My current room discount and using the TiW card easily beats free dining by several hundred dollars.
