Looking for a great promotion code for early December. Has anyone found a fantastic deal anywhere to share?

I wasn't lucky enough to receive a Free Dining Pin Code, so I would definitely like to save on my rental car.

Way too early to find the lowest rental prices for December. The best rental car deals are usually found 2-6 weeks prior to travel. The good thing is that most rental car reservations don't charge any penalty for canceling and rebooking. Check out the transportation board...someone starts a thread for each travel month with car rental deals.

Wait! Too early to look for December bargains now. Sign up for Alamo's website and they will send you specials, we were able to use that with our Entertainment coupon and saved a lot!

Do you have AAA? Call them and see what rates you can get through them.. No CC required for a reservations and then you can keep checking back... I got a 10 day rental in San deigo for our Disneyland trip for $165.00 for a midsize car.. which I thought was reasonable....

What is your best coupon right now. Most of the Alamo coupons don't work.

check Alamo with the Costco discount and currently they have a visa card discount that brought our price down $48.00. I check every few days to see if the price lowers as well then rebook.

The cheapest price I've found so far for December is booking directly through the Costco site. We have a midsize through Alamo for eleven days for $254.32 (all taxes and fees included). I know it will get lower as the trip approaches, but we could live with that if we had to.

This past Sept I had a couple of deals booked, but tried Priceline the last three days leading up to the trip. I round up with a full size for nine days for $145.00 through Budget.

I haven't been able to get any of the Alamo coupons to work on their site, since late last summer.

There is a whole thread on December car rental discounts on the Transportation board.

And it is NOT too early to start finding deals, especially if you are travelling later in the month. The rules are different for holiday rentals than the rest of the year. Lock in early - prices don't tend to come down.

ETA: I just saw you are travelling early in the month. Still check out the Transportation board. About a month ago, we reserved an SUV at Budget for 172.61 all in (taxes & fees included). Still haven't seen anything that beats that, and I check almost every day!
