Toms River, just came back from 6 nights BLT and TWO nights AKL. We loved BLT.

I bought DVC to have a special place for my kids as so many people who vacation at the Jersey Shore. I tried a few times to vacation at different Jersey Shore locations, but just did not feel like a real vacation because I live at a Jersey Shore location.

So DVC is my families Jersey Shore vacation...

I grew up in Nutley, but have been in East Brunswick since the mid-80's.

It's just my DS5 and I and we love our DVC! It's the best money I have ever spent. We were just at AKV in March and have three more trips planned before the end of 2011, including a short 3-day cruise on the new Dream ship.

I see a lot of Jersey Week vacations in our future, starting with 2011. My son will be starting kindergarten this year, 2010, so once he hits first grade, I'm going to be forced to severely limit how many days I pull him out of school for vacation.

I spent many vacations at the Jersey shore in my childhood -- mainly Seaside Park -- and wish I could afford to treat my son to the same thing. However, it is so expensive! I could take us both on a week-long cruise for less money that it would cost to go the shore for a week. It's hard to justify, but I really do miss it.

We're in Manville and own SSR and BLT! Went home in November and going back again at the end of October. Doing the 4 night Wonder cruise and then a week and a half at Fort Wilderness!

While we love the resorts, we also love the flexibility the membership brings us!

And for the Hillsborough Dis'ers, we have a minivan with Grumpy on the back but not a DVC sticker. I think I need to get one though on our next trip during Jersey week!

Hi... We're from Somerset.... (Hi Hillsborough and Manville neighbors!) My DH and I just bought Aulani when we were there in July and my parents (also Somerset) have BCV which we LOVE...

It's funny, when I read your post, Seafood Shanty came to my mind. We were trying to remember the name of that restaurant because there's one near Vero Beach and DH and I were thinking we want to try it the next time we stay at VB. When we lived in Hamilton Twp. We would drive up 130 to eat there and neither one of us could remember the name of the restaurant until now.

I am a life-long Jersey girl- born in Perth Amboy, grew up in Florham Park, went to Rider College in Lawrenceville, lived on LBI, in Edison, Woodbridge & now Scotch Plains for the past 16 years. DH is from Clark and has most of the same history as me....if it weren't for DVC, we might NEVER get out of this Garden State!! Love it here, and love my DVC!

Florham Park..... My parents were born and raised there. Still go there for the 4th of July. Now from Belvidere (warren county NJ) and own Dvc at AKL and SSR. Going 2nd week of Dec, and I cannot wait...
