Who feels like a threadkiller - Take 4!

You are welcome to share in our nice weather. We actually have the air conditioning on since it was upwards to 90 degrees outside today and expecting the same for the next 2 days.:lovestruc

We are very much enjoying country living. Rick has been working on getting his model airplane runway ready to plant the grass seed. He's been putt putting around on his little tractor with the scraper blade and the rotortiller for days now :p

One of his buddies flew his small airplane here tonight just off of the existing grass. Was nice to see them having fun with their toys. ;)

The only drawback to country living is when you need to go to town for "stuff". It ends up taking 1/2 the day all the time. But, still, a small price to pay for the relative peace and quiet of country living...... if you don't factor in all the tractors running around at the moment LOL.

I guess you have to plan to make a list and get everything done at once. We are in a small city ( a very small city) so most everything is always available to us. I love the convenience, but both DH and I grew up in the country and there are parts of that I really and truly miss!

Hi all! Betsy~ Are you loving this weather? Are you spending the entire weekend in the gazebo? What a nice gift!:thumbsup2

YES!, ::yes::YES! ::yes::, and I agree its the BEST gift!:thumbsup2:goodvibes

I hope you enjoyed your mothers day too!
This weather is the BOMB! Love it!:cool1:
We spent yesterday at Montrose's Wine and Choc. Fest. Fun times!

I hope you all are enjoying the rest of this awesome weekend!:wizard: :sunny:

Even with the 30 min. drive to/from Binghamton, I wouldn't trade my country living for nothin!;)
When I am in the city to shop all I keep thinking is soon I'll be heading home and away from all these people, cars and craziness!:thumbsup2

Robin,
I think it's so cool that Rick can now play in is own back yard...No getting everything packed up...just get out there and have a good time!;)

Good news is that our city is so much smaller than Bingamton! Behind our house is a wooded lot that is backed by an elementary school, and is owned by the school district, so it won't be developed. The neighbors houses are closer than I'd like, but, luckily, we have wonderful neighbors!

Also the country is no more than 5 minutes away! This morning my DD and I spent 2 1/2 hours kayaking at a Lake in the middle of the woods. No more than a 10 minute drive!

Sounds like we have a bunch of country lovers here:thumbsup2

I do really enjoy it too. No one looking over at you whenever you go outside to do something. I could walk around naked outside half the time and no one would even notice :lmao: Not something I'm inclined to do of course.... just saying :rolleyes1

:wave2: Hey Kim! How's it going in Chicago. I was in your neighbourhood last weekend. I gave you a shout out on my way by. I recognized the name of Touhy Avenue when we went zipping by it. :goodvibes

We had a beautiful day here today. The weather was superb. Got together with some friends for a bbq tonight. Tomorrow we are going to visit Liz and her boyfriend John. Today was Liz's birthday and tomorrow is John's birthday........ 2 for the price of one :cool1:

I'm sorry that I didn't get the chance to call you Kim but it was due to my own stupidity........ I forgot to bring phone numbers with me :faint:

We went north of you, almost to Wisconsin.

:listen: Hark......... what is that strange humming noise coming from my kitchen :confused3

It's our new fridge......... finally.......... about time :dance3:

Well after two cold rainy days, we have sun, but its still pretty chilly out for June!

TTFNpaw:

It has been chilly and rainy here too.

After all that 100 degree weather it is hard to take this but it is better than snow:thumbsup2

I totally agree!...AND.....
The forecast says a warm weekend!:cool1:...Cant wait. I am tired of feeling cold all the time.:santa:...especially in June!

Big news here....Brit is gonna spend the summer in Colorado with a friend. Its a beautiful state.. I hope she takes a ton of good pictures! I'm gonna miss her....and worry a bit too I might add!:sad2:

I have my riding class at 10AM, so I am off to get myself ready!:teleport:
Wishing a great day to you and any lurkers out there:wave2:
TTFNpaw:

Did you enjoy your ride this morning?

The weather is supposed to turn nicer here too. I am looking forward to that for sure.

Yes, it was a nice lesson, I did well. My instructor (Jen) asks me to use her horse for the lessons. Makes me feel great as he's her special horse shipped to her from Ireland when he was a yearling. She has never used him for lessons and I am only the third person besides Jen who has ridden him. He is wonderful.
I have a photo of him, I swipped from her FB page.

I have volunteer work to do today for Salt Springs today...Just some clerical, so it shouldn't take me long.
Today has started out B E A U T I F U L!... BUT we have thunder storms in the forecast... Hope they wait til later tonight.. :wizard:

Not that I can do anything today...I slipped and fell against my railing on my back deck, which wouldn't have been so bad if one of my metal chair arms didn't get shoved into my rib cage. It took my breath and hurt like HE** :sad2:... I sat there for a time just trying to breath... I am surprised to say I have no bruise this morning tho. I just have a hard time bending, and going from sitting to standing...BUT.. This too shall pass I am sure.
So glad it happened after my ride...I have a whole week to recoup before my next lesson. ;)

Well enjoy the daypixiedust:

He's a beautiful horse Betsy. What is his name?

It's kind of cloudy here and we have a chance of rain and thunderstorms all day but after that it looks like we are in for a stretch of beautiful weather .... mid 80's and sunshine until Tuesday..... unless of course the weatherman changes his mind tomorrow :rotfl:

Ouch! Sorry to hear about your fall. Why do we always seem to do that to ourselves? Well, now you have an excuse just to sit in that nasty chair all day and rest up. Just make sure that you bring a nice drink, a snack and a book with you..... oh and go to the bathroom before you sit :lmao:

I have no specific plans for the day yet. I am up early though, I woke shortly before 7 and couldn't go back to sleep, so thought that I might as well get up.

Now, it is time for breakfast popcorn:: (not popcorn though :rotfl2: )

Betsy ~ That horse is beautiful! Hope you are recovering from your slip and fall!

Robin ~ Popcorn for breakfast sounds good!

Tonight is my daughter's senior prom and we have 40% chance of thunderstorms! We've had the same forcaste for the past few days, and have had a thunderstorm every evening, just about the time we'll be taking pictures outside tonight!!! Everybody keep your fingers crossed for me!

Good Morning TKers! :sunny:

He is a beautiful horse, isn't he! I am a bit better today thanks!

I have crossed not just my fingers, but my arms legs, eyes and everything else I can think of...:thumbsup2
Its gonna make for a hard day, but anything for a friend!...LOL;)

Good luck and can we see? :3dglasses I love looking at pictures!:goodvibes

TTFNpaw:

Good luck with the weather PD. It wouldn't dare rain on your fun:mad:

Can't wait to see the pictures too.

Glad to hear that you are feeling a bit better today Betsy.

We are heading into a nice stretch of hot and hopefully dry weather. I'm loving it:thumbsup2
