Well yesterday Mike and I celebrated our 37th:scared1::scared1::scared1: Anniversary!
We didnt do much really..I had the day off so we went to a movie(the latest twilight movie).. It was not the movie I would have picked to go to, but it was the only one showing that looked interesting at all.... It was not bad, but not great..
Then we went and picked up some dinner fixings to take home and have a nice, meal on our deck. even had candles:goodvibes
I had lobster, and mike had a Delmonico cut of steak, with rice, corn on the cob, and asparagus. along with a couple nice glasses of wine...
and very enjoyable anniversary!::yes::

Well Im off to work now:car:

Have a great day everyone:wizard:

Sounds like a perfect anniversary celebration,

Congratulations on 37 wonderful years Betsy and Mike!!

Hiya Threadkillers!

Betsy - happy anniversary to you & Mike! Your evening sounded lovely!

Tom and I dodged a bullet today....last night our air conditioner stopped working! We got the guys out to check it and thought we'd have to replace it....which would mean using our trip $$$. Fortunately, they were able to repair it and we're still on track to go! Hard to believe it's almost here!

DU - any word on the job search?

Hello to everyone! I hope ya'll are well! Take care....off to watch TV with hubby!

That's good to hear that your trip is still safe Ann.

Are you going to take a lot of pictures and share them with us?

Where exactly are you planning on going?

Just so that the rest of us can "join" you on your road trip;)

How ya feelin Crusin?

How ya feelin Crusin?

Me :confused3

I'm feeling mahvellous, darlink :goodvibes

Yup, I'm doing good. I'm having a hard time behaving myself though but I'm managing to restrain myself from doing naughty things.

I hope you find yourself a new job real soon, DU:wizard::flower3:

Well my threadkillers, I am back on that road with DU of applying til my eyes bleed and getting thanx but no thanx letters back. On Monday I'll be hitting the unemployment office to see about fundage for more specific training. I think I wanna try learning AutoCAD this time. I see ads for jobs and love the idea that I could do this on my own if necessary. AutoCAD is computer aided drafting; kinda like being an architect, only completely done on the puter. At the least, learning this program will help me get my ideas I have for changes to our home out of my brain and into something real.

LYMI! col.

:hug:Good luck with your job search Colleen.

I hope you find something real soon. :wizard:

:( I got a letter on the mail from unemployment yesterday. Because I signed on with the school as a sub, contract beginning 7/1, I am "indefinitely ineligible" for unemployment benefits. :(

I was pretty sure this was the case but my teacher friend told me to apply anyway. Getting that letter really hit home.

Happy Birthday Betsy! I hope you are having a wonderful day! (thanks for remembering Robin)

TW & DU - I hope the employment horizon is brighter for both of you!

Tom and I have an appointment with Apple tomorrow. I think we've decided rather than get an iPad we're going to get two iPhone4's. We'll let you know tomorrow. Unfortunately, they no longer offer unlimited data packages. It's only 2GB. But I've heard that's quite a bit.

Hope ya'll are having a GREAT day!

Ann, the only difference between an iPad and iPod/iPhone is the screen size.

I have wifi in the house and did not need the cell phone, so I got my iPod Touch. I want an iPad, but only because its a better size for reading like your kindle. 2gig is equivent to me to 2000 pictures. That is not alot to me. The iPad will cost you approx $100 more for every 2 gig added. I would be content with 6g.

Do your homework, I already know youze are smart folks. ;)

Have fun shopping!

What a wild and crazy summer we have been having.

First my surgery, then my mother's.

My dad was in the Emergency Room one night for 6 hours, shortly after my surgery.

Now Rick's mom is in the hospital. She had a funny turn on Saturday. She was very confused and her lip was hugely swollen and she couldn't walk:confused3

Her electrolites are all off and we think that she might have somehow gotten hold of his dad's medication instead of hers?

Who in the heck allows a man with Alzheimers to hand them medications every morning:confused: I'm pretty sure that I wouldn't be trusting him with that job.

Hopefully she is home again tomorrow and things can settle down a bit again.

My mom had a bone scan today and is scheduled for a liver scan in a couple of weeks, just to be sure the cancer has not spread to those spots.

We found out today that she has an appointment with the cancer clinic on Thursday. So I guess we will find out soon if there will be more treatment in her future.

But at least we have a Disney cruise and a Disney wedding to look forward to.:goodvibes

Alex and Steph are getting married on May 29, 2011 at the Wedding Pavilion. The reception will be in the St. Augustine Room (I think) at the Grand Floridian.

:woohoo:

Robin - I hope all goes well with yours & Ricks parents. What a crazy summer indeed! Please know we're thinking of you. So - Alex is having a Disney wedding? How wonderful! I know it will be an event to remember! Make sure you take care of yourself and keep us posted!

We decided not to get the iphones. For some reason, I just couldn't get past not having unlimited internet access. If I have that phone, I want to be able to surf until my eyes bleed! So - we'll wait til they either change their minds and offer unlimited internet or we'll get a next gen iPad (which is my preference).

Six days til we take off. I don't know how many pics I'm going to post here, but I plan to post them on facebook (it's easier) but I'll be thinking of ya'll!

Alex is having a Disney wedding :thumbsup2

They tossed around a lot of ideas for their wedding, including all inclusive resorts, cruise ships etc and then settled on having it at Disney.

Much easier for all involved. You can stay for as short a time or as long a time as you wish. Accommodations in all price ranges.

And besides.... it's Disney ;)

I think that we are all going to stay at the POP Century.

I like it there. Alex and Steph like it there. The price is definitely affordable. And it leaves more money to put into other things.

Enjoy your trip Ann.

You never did tell me what your tentative itinerary is:confused3
