Who feels like a threadkiller - Take 4!

Sleepingaurora ~ I'm glad you had a good time! Always nice to meet threadkillers, isn't it?

TW ~ how about you? How'd the organizing go? Can't wait to hear from you!

My friend and I loved "Julie & Julia". A must see for any foodie!

Making hot wings (hubby's request). Ya'll take care!

Work is just getting nuttier every day.
Got the call today. New LR furniture (that I ordered Memorial day Weekend, is coming Friday.:goodvibes
James went home yesterday. He has band camp every day.

All is fine otherwise:)

DU - I hope you're able to find another groomer soon....and GET SOME REST!

YUP. That night got him into Pet Smart. They made his head too pooofy & ears too short. I thought he looked like a alien dog, but my friends DD said he looks like a Q-Tip!:lmao:

Maybe I should revise my wishes and go from wanting a small zippy car to wanting something more luxurious and comfy.
:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Just returned from visiting with the grandkids and I'm headed off to fry some green tomatoes!
...You forget to add "y'all" to the end of that quote.:rolleyes1

Maybe silly questions but........

Do you actually use green tomatoes?

Where do you get them?
My house. My Tomatoes are still green. Waiting for them to turn red.

Hi everyone.
Back to work after my very first Magicmeets. It was awesome. My kids and I had a awesome time. There is still alot i need to know about Disney.
I will have a ball learning it cause my kids love Mickey just as much as i do.

Disunc is was really nice meeting you. I hope our paths cross again.

I met dome great people.:cheer2::cool1:

:yay::woohoo::yay::woohoo: It was my pleasure to me you & your DD's. :yay: How was Hershey the next day?

Morning threadkillers.

Rick took my little Civic in to be looked at yesterday.

There is definitely a gas leak, a rather major one.

He was told they could try to fix it and it might only cost about $45.00

But as with all old vehicles (1993) once you start to mess with one part of the gasline it might cause major problems with other parts and turn into a several hundred dollar fix instead.

We decided we just weren't willing to put that much money into a car with no airconditioning and a cracked windshield, so we went out a got a new one yesterday:thumbsup2

Well a new to me, old one that is.

We got a 2007 Toyota Camry. I took some pictures and will post them for you. Unfortunately it has leather seats and I don't really care for them. I find in the summer that I stick to them when I wear shorts.

Does anybody else have leather seats? Do you find that you have any problems sticking to them and how do you solve that?

I figure that I can always cover it if necessary.

Here are the pictures of my new car:

As you can see, we went with luxury over zippy small and sporty. :rotfl:

This car has very good safety reports and is chock full of air bags including a knee airbag for the driver.

EDITED TO ADD: I wonder how my nice fancy new car is going to look all decked out with my Mickey floor mats and Mickey steering wheel cover :teeth:

You can put the girl into the fancy car but you can't take the love of Mickey out of her :rotfl2:

Beautiful car Robin! I have a Corolla and I absolutely love it. Toyotas are the best! Hope you enjoy it :)

Well i'm back to San Diego in a week! Maybe I can convince mom to take one last trip to Disneyland ;)

Hey Robin! Nice car! I had a 2006 Toyota that looked almost exactly like yours inside. The body is different. I, too, had leather and didn't have issues with it - but Tom did. We ended up covering the drivers seat for when he was in the car. The new car we have has leather seats with little tiny holes in it and is very breathable and we have no problem with it at all....even Tom!

It's a beautiful car ~ go take it for a spin!

BTW, Tom wants to know if it's a V6.

Our day at Hersey was good. Alwayt good to do things with them. I got out of there in the nick of time too. They had a wicked storm that night. I drove all the way home the the storm.:flower3:

:yay::woohoo::yay::woohoo: It was my pleasure to me you & your DD's. :yay: How was Hershey the next day?[/QUOTE]

Cakes went so far, so good. The only ones I have left are the little 6" layers for the cake topper....I'll bake them tomorrow.

Glad you had a good time at Hershey.

Hi Threadkillers!

Quiet night last night. I baked the 6" cakes last night and I'm doing a few things before I head out of town. Spending the night at Mary's and we're headed down to Disney on Thursday. I'll be back Friday (spending another night with her) and we're having dinner guests that night. So.....chat with ya'll Saturday!

Sounds like you have a busy week planned Ann.

Where does Mary live again?

Somehow I thought she lived close to you or maybe that was Susan:confused3

I am going on Saturday to pick up my new car:thumbsup2

Yesterday I went for my stress test and the results of my echocardiogram.

The end result is that my heart is just fine, everything checks out okay.

He says my heart looks strong and healthy.

The doctor even said that I could probably stop my cholesterol meds if I wanted to, but I'm not sure about that.

What is they've been contributing to keeping my heart healthy all these years:confused:

Hard to know what to do there.

Oops I missed this post Ann, sorry.

thanks for the information about the leather seats. I figured if necessary I can just throw a towel over it.

Tell Tom, that no it is not a V6.

Rick was kinda wishing it was so that he could put a hitch on it and get a little trailer for his airplane. Then we could trade in the van and get the little sportier car that I wanted too:thumbsup2

Have fun at Disney Ann!

Robin, so glad to hear that your heart is healthy and strong :)

Good choice Robin! It's very nice.

My car has leather seats and like ann's it has tiny holes in it so in the summer time it doesn't bother me at all...

However in my hubby's truck...he has leather seats and they do not have the holes... and when ever I sit on them in the summer time I burn my legs...and then yes they stick... It doesn't bother hubby cuz his shorts are always to his knees and his skin never touchs the leather..

I try not to ride in it during summer ;)

Robin, the exercise you get from dancing could also be a contributing factor...and your weight loss:thumbsup2 but I agree... how do you know what it is exactly ...

I have a dr appt tomorrow morning to get a mole on my back looked at

Good luck with your doctors appointment tomorrow Cally.

I hope all goes well for you.

SWTD, I'm happy to hear that my heart is healthy too, because it's something that you always worry about (at least when you get to be an oldertimer like some of us :rotfl2: )

Thanks guys... I went to my appt thinking the doc would just look at them and maybe send me to a dermatologist but NOOOOO...

He went and cut them out right then!!! He removed two.. one on my upper back and one on my right side stomach area.. Ugh

I think I'm reoovered from the shock and thrill now... it hurts a lil but not too bad... he's sending them off to the lab
