Who feels like a threadkiller - Take 4!

SWTD, I'm happy to hear that my heart is healthy too, because it's something that you always worry about (at least when you get to be an oldertimer like some of us :rotfl2: )

Old timer? Are you kidding me! If you can still handle a full fledged trip to WDW then you are not an old timer! :rotfl:

Cally - I hope everything turns out alright

So MUCH to catch up on! I can't!! :guilty:

Robin, NICE car!! I suggest a towel on the seat also.

I don't even KNOW when I posted here last but, for those of my Facebook people, you can see Matt's newest video (won him a ticket to Quentin Tarantino's Chicago opening) and, Kelly's 1st skating exhibition solo video, as well!

Too tiired!!! :faint:

Still winding down from last weekend's Magicmeet. It turned out great~

So nice to see DU, James and Aisling. Had a great time with SA, her DD's and my niece.

Morning everyone.

I picked up my new car yesterday.

I'll tell you, it sure beats the heck out of driving a stinky, non airconditioned car:rotfl2:

I'll have to be careful for a bit though, because it tends to want to go very fast :car:

Could i add you as a friend on facebook? Is Kimraye your name there?

You can add me if you like:thumbsup2

It would be easiest to find me if you look in someone else's friend list.

Maybe look in Colleen's and find me. I am Robin K.

Hey Tkers. I've been been busier than anyone should ever be with work so haven;t had time to really catch up with all of you since we got back fromWDW and yes I know it was over a month ago!

Robin~ the new car looks great. Very nice. I have leather seats in my car and they don't bother me. I really like them, but my kids don't like them at all.

Cally any news yet?

So my first night at WDW I got to meet Du and James at the pool at POR. DU, we aren't really zombies...just had no sleep the night before, and had DDs grad party the day before so we were really tired and dragging! DU and James kept us all very entertained with stories of their vacation. YOu 2 sure do fit alot into your days! DU gave me a cute stuffed Mickey and rings for all my girls! Thank you! We love them.

We had a great trip. A couple of days after we got there we were joined by 2 sisters and 1 brother along with their families. Our rooms were right by a quiet pool so my girls and nieces and nephews had swim parites every night at midnight after everyone was back from the parks. The adults swam a boit, but mostly sat by the pool sipping wine.

We tried some new restaurants this trip and have a few new favorites. This was our first trip without any character meals!

Everyone loved Boma. After dinner we took a walk around the resort and went to the viewing area to see the animals. That was cool. They have guides there to answer any questions.

We went to Cape May Cafe also, which ws very relaxing and delicious. We went there on the fourth of July which was pretty cool. I thought it was neat to be at a "clam bake" for the 4th.

Other new restaurant for us was California Grill. Loved going out on the roof before dinner. We took lots of pictures up there. We had to wait a little bit for our table because there were 14 of us and we did not want to be split up. While waiting my BIL ordered a bottle of wine. He just picked something off the winelist that looked good. It was the best bottle of wine ever. When I picked it up to look at the label to see what is was it was Montecillo. Isn;t this the wine that you guys were talking about having on the cruise? I'm pretty sure it was, and thought it was quite a coincidence, but it is my new favorite wine. NSalz's BIL owns a wine store and we are asking him to keep it is stock. I had the pork tenderloin for dinner at DU's suggestion. Great pick DU, you were right best pork tenderloin ever, and the risotto that came with it was wonderful. After dinner was done, they suggested we order our coffee and desserts and go outside to watch the fireworks and then they would bring us our desserts and coffee after the fireworks. We did that. The fireworks from the roof were great. When we got back to our table the waiter was just bringing out our dessert. I shared this : Valrhona Chocolate Cake and Cherries - Warm chocolate cake with molten center, housemade cherry swirl ice cream and balsamic macerated bing cherries - with my neice....absolutely incredible!

The restaurant is expensive but worth every penny. We'll definitely go back there.

 HI PD. And welcome back.

I don't have time right now to read all of your post but will be back later to catch up with what you've been doing.

I just wanted to post a link to this thread. It's a great video that I think you should watch if you have a few minutes to spare.

Hiya PD! Welcome back and I'm glad you had a good trip. California Grill is my favorite restaurant ~ DU gave you a good pic! I get the pork every time....I'm so glad you liked it, too.

Robin - the video was really sweet. I'm glad you're enjoying your new car. It looks really nice and - as long as you kept the other car - you deserve it!

I just made some amazing soup from Julia Child's cookbook. That woman sure knows her stuff. After seeing Julia & Julia, I was inspired to get the book and cook as much as I can from it. For a foodie like me, the book is really interesting and I've been reading it like a novel. However, when I got to that soup recipe, I immediately got up and went to the grocery store....that stuff was magic and will end up being a staple at our house. I made a coconut cream pie yesterday so we had a slice of that afterwards.

The soup really hit the spot, since Tom and I are feeling a wee bit under the weather. Not enough to send us to bed, but enough that we don't want to do a bunch.

Ya'll take care and have a great night!

Testing here, if you don't mind....
