Hi Robin - Enjoy your snow...I'd rather poke myself in the eye with a stick than be in snow!

Plus, I'm NOT a tree person, so I have no trees in my yards.

I most certainly am NOT enjoying my snow Ann.

I dont' really like snow and I'd much rather be with you in the snowless world.:thumbsup2

You don't like trees:eek:

You must be like my next door neighbours then because they are slowly cutting down all the trees that they have.

They can't cut down the ones that are on the city property though, so that's good.

I personally am a great fan of the trees.:goodvibes

I love both trees and snow, but I especially love snow covered pines right after a storm!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 So very peaceful and beautiful!

Okay...Melissa came by and picked up her pics.

I won't bore you with the whole album...here are a few I really like.

Good Evening Threadkillers!

TW - I like your pics. Looks like everyone was having a good time. I love the red/cranberry in the b/w pics. Was that the color of the dresses and ties?

DU - I remember the cardboard fireplace. We put one up every year. Isn't it amazing how much more we appreciated Christmas when everything wasn't handed to us on a platter?

Speaking of Christmas....I am DONE - not just sorta done - COMPLETELY done! There isn't a single present I need to buy or order, cards are done and presents are wrapped.

I have to separate and box them for shipping, but that's it and it'll only take 5 minutes to separate and I'll box tomorrow.

I even have my thanksgiving cards made out and the Thanksgiving presents for the grandkids wrapped and ready to mail tomorrow.

Whew! I'm done for the night. I did not get the dinner rolls made. I don't know why, but it seemed this afternoon I wasn't working productively. I hate when that happens!

I hope ya'll are having a good night. I'm going to take a rest now....

Morning! Colleen, I love the pictures!

DU~ I do all the shoveling around here....including the snow. Shoveling snow is my absolute favorite chore after raking leaves!:confused3 Yup I like to mow the lawn too!

I do all that here too except for the lawn mowing which I hired a service at the end of September.

I don't shovel much snow though, only if it is absolutely necessary or if I feel like spending some time outside:thumbsup2

Hello everyone:wave:

WE HAVE SNOW!....:cold:...about 2inches....I love the snow..especially on the evergreens:thumbsup2 ...as long as I dont have to go out in it...Its beautiful!...
BUT poor Albert has to go out in it at least four times a day...and guess who gets to take him....Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr:dog:
and this snow out there right now is the kind that will ball up on his legs, and Ill have to take a towel and my hands and try to melt it off, before I let him back to running around the house or we will have little puddles all over the floors...

I also love my fireplace on days like this...:cloud9: ...and baking..and that is what I have planned for today...

Colleen,
Cool pictures....:thumbsup2 I love your dog too!...We use to have a G.shepherd, named bear....My dad called him the gentle giant...He LOVED kittens...he would just lick them and lick them until they were soaking wet...then cuddle them up in his paws, and nap with them.... I had a cockatiel then too...(Chico). Chico would walk all over him and pull on Bears tail fur...Bear didnt care...Just watch him, sigh, and go back to sleep...GREAT DOG!

Brenda,
Congrats on the game!...GREAT photos from you also!

DU,:worship:
Now you can never say Ann, hasnt given you anything....
I must say that is the most polished Cyber silver platter I have ever seen!:3dglasses Very NICE!:thumbsup2 take good care of that or it could tarnish...:lmao:

PD,
I LOVE to mow my lawn.....:goodvibes
I cant say the same for shoveling......snow that is..:rotfl2: ..
I am kind of fond of shoveling the other now and then :teeth:

The only other kind of shoveling, beside the afore mentioned kind....;) I havent had to do too much, since I gave back the horses...LOL
I really didnt mind that kind too much either:rotfl: I guess Im just a country gal...a WARM weather country gal:laughing:

Well Im off to get my baking stuff together and get myself started...
Anyone have a good recipe for banana cream pie?....:3dglasses ...

Yes. Her color was that beautiful red. After I made all the pics black & white I thought it was a shame to waste such a beautiful color. I layer a b&w copy over a color copy and erase the actual B&W photo where I want the color to show thru. It comes out waaaay better than painting in color. Painting colors can be very flat.

OMG! I totally forgot about the old cardboard fireplace!!!

:thumbsup2

done? The only thing I'm about done is (re-)compiling my address book so I can do my Christmas cards. You really are too much Ann (in a really really good way :) )

:thumbsup2 SOOOOOOOOO COOL! But why is the old guy in the pic tie not red???:confused3

Because he wasn't wearing red :rolleyes1

see explanation of coloring method above :thumbsup2
