Do you realize I have *never* eaten at CHH???
Ann, as allergic as you are, it doesn't worry you to eat inside there? What about residue on the tables??? I probably shouldn't worry - you've said you've eaten there lotsa times right?
I can't believe you've never eaten there! Believe me, TW, I am SO careful! I don't touch ANYTHING there....including my chair or the table! I usually get hives and take a pill - but that's the worst. I'm guessing it's just the air in there. However, I always have the epipen with me if it's needed.
The hummus sandwiches are the best food in the park....and I'm a foodie!
DU and everyone else - thanks for the wishes. Ya'll are too cute!
LM83 - I hope the tunnel doesn't cause you any problems. I keep hearing how cute your daughter is...I'm gonna have to check your pre trip report...aren't I?
CADZ - Make sure you take time for yourself. I know you're busy, but you just walked 60 miles and deserve a break today...hmmmm...maybe you should go to McDonalds! Let me know and I'll see if I can meet you!
We're off to have dinner with our friends. It's our monthly dinner - 2 weeks late. I made a the casserole for Tom to eat while I'm gone, did laundry, changed the sheets & towels. We also got to the library & took a nap. The only thing I didn't do is bake that 2nd cake. That's okay - it was to freeze for the class on the 2nd of Oct, so there's plenty of time.
Ya'll tell me if you think this is too rich to serve (or if it just doesn't sound good). I'm going to make a 4 layer chocolate cake for the final class (split the layers) and fill them with no-bake cheesecake and frost them with chocolate frosting. THEN decorate it (with yellow roses - I think pink would clash).
Is that too rich or too much? It's the only cake we're going to eat...the others I'm tossing....they're just practice cakes. It sounds delicious to me and I'm going to bring it to Mary & the library gang to have. I was considering the middle filling with cheesecake and the other two with something lighter..or just frosting, but I like the idea of how the cheesecake layers would look when you cut into it.
I know.....stop obsessing Ms. OCD....it's just a cake!
