We have a chilly windy sunny day, just like the past few days have been.:confused3

If the wind would just die down it wouldn't be half so bad out.

I've got my shorts on since I went to dance classes this morning and haven't changed out of them yet.

But since it's only 53 outside and I've got to go out shopping I best change.

I might look just a bit strange walking around in my shorts on a day like this;)

Just had my boss call....Last week a Customer gave me 2 CD's for their test. I wrote in LARGE BLOCK RED LETTERS on the report that at the end of the test, they MUST BE RETURNED TO SO & SO in Testing room L!

Even sent a seperate email out reminding whomever ends the test to do sooooooooo. I am very anal about things like this, keep excellent detailed documentation, etc. Only to have others always drop the ball!

Their test ended when I wasn't there...and of course NO ONE RETURNED THE CD's! The customer forget to ask for them, and no one bothered to do anything with them. So he is calling me....WTH????:confused3

:furious: HERE.

In work tonight (not my regular shift...I am helping out the new guy....who by the way saw me and went out to dinner....2 HOURS AGO!!!)
Anyhoooooo After this discussion with my Boss last night, he goes and emails the customer...and CC'd EVERYBODY...that "Andy said he returned the disc to you" !!!!!!!!!!!!:headache:

Then the customer returned the email (again CC'ing everybody) stating " I dont know why Andy is saying that, HE DID NOT RETURN THE DISC"!!!!

Needless to say I am SPITTING NAILS over this. I cant believe my boss up & lied like that. Meanwhile I was THE ONLY ONE who followed procedure & did the right thing!!!! I sent my Boss a email, that cant be posted on the DIS!!:headache:

Does he get half credit for letting you know he was seriously "misquoting" you? That was pretty gutsy. Not necessarily smart, but gutsy!

It's doggy visiting day! Penny and I are up early so we can go meet Kayda.

I certainly hope your night ended better than it started DU :wizard:

Happy Friday my Threadkillers~

HI all! Just trying to catch up! Yesterday was my oldest daughter's birthday, she turned 17. (How the heck did this happen? Before you know it she will have caught up with DU!;) !

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LIZZIE!

:mickeyjum :tink: :cake: pirate: :donald:

My middle daughter had surgery yesterday. You might remember that she tore her meniscus last April during track. SHe went thorugh all of the PT and had a second MRI which showed that everything had healed perfectly! So anyway, despite this she was still having alot of pain and swelling especially when she was really active (like soccer practice). They ran about a zillion tests on her ....lyme, rheumatism and goodness only remembers what else, everything came back negative. The doctor told her he hated to do it but he had to get back inside that knee to see what was going on, because a strong, helathy 14 year old girl should not be having these problems. He was hoping that one of the fasteners had come undone and was floating around, causing the irratation. Well it turns out that at some point she retore her meniscus. During the MRI it was just sitting in a closed position so looked totally healed. So over the course of the past few months the tear opened up a bit (luckily still only a minor tear). So he rerepaired the meniscus and he'll be taking it much slower this time. He was soooo upset. He said her pain must have been horrible these past few months. (But whenever we go to see him, she says it's only about a 2 on a scale of 1 - 10, so we all looked at it as discomfort, rather than real pain) She now says "well it really, really, hurt but I wanted to keep playing soccer!"

Last time he was pretty agressive with her treatment because she is an athlete and in such great shape....that kid is STRONG! Also she was really doing things in PT much sooner than they expected. Well now he is taking things very slowly. She is not started PT until the 17th (last time she started about 10 days post surgery). She is going to have to miss indoor track season, as that starts on the 10th of November.

She is looking forward to PT as she Loves her physical therapist and his assistant. They really do have a great relationship!!

Tomorrow is my youngest daughter's birthday. She will be 13...yup 3 teenage girls in the house at once!:scared1: Her big plan was to get home from school, go to build a bear (an hour away from us), come back home, go out to dinner, and then go see HSM3 with her sister and NSalz's girls. We explained that there is not enough time in the day for that! SO she wil be going to HSM with the girls and if we can get early enough tickets we can then go to dinner. I'm going to try to get tickets later as I'm sure the movies will be mobbed tomorrow!

I'm laughing so hard I'm crying....go get some sleep...ummm...you are rambling there DU! I'll show the girls your post when they get home from school....I know you are tired because you spelled LizzY wrong...do you not remember the big capital Y, that I believe you started because I was always spelling it Lizzie!?!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Why don't you just bleach the rest of your carpet white, or go have Makenzie talk to your family saying "no white, no white".;) Reminds me of when WInnie used to call Mickey Mouse...Icky, Icky!

DU, I hope you are having a nap right about now.

Sure sounds like you needed one;)

I went food shopping this morning, a job that I don't know.

But an older lady called me a "sweetheart" because I gave her my shopping cart that I had already pulled out of the line:angel:

Yup that's me..... a real sweetheart :rotfl2:

Ive had a busy day today...But it was fun... my DBF came over to visit:goodvibes ( I dont get to see her often, a she works so much, and now lives father away then before)and we went for a nice walk to salt springs and back..It was a little chilly(in the 50s), but perfect for a brisk walk....and the hr. or so it took gave us plenty of time to catch up...:cool1:

Now Im trying to plan my menu for our Thanksgiving dinner...Im thinking Turkey as we normally do, but I think Ill add a pork roast to that ..and cook it in the slow cooker...So people have a choice...Then...Mashed, and sweet potatoes, fresh green/wax beans, ...Im not sure what else...???

Saw HSM3 again tonight! Took Kelly and 2 of her friends to see it this time. I stayed awake this time, tho! I had a tear or two in my eye because of the 'ending', but it truly ends 'happy', I guess. Kelly & her friends behaved IDEAL - during the movie, anyway! They were quiet and only took 3 bathroom breaks, 1 before and 2 during the movie, between the 2 guests. Kelly waited the WHOLE movie and then went RUNNING during the credits! :rotfl: Add a free refill popcorn:: and I still haven't seen the entire movie yet. :rolleyes1

We went to the theatre that my DS, Matt, is a manager at, and his manager saw us and gave Kelly a bus shelter-size, 2-sided poster of HSM3, it's 4' X 50 or so inches - HUGE! I can wallpaper one of her walls with this thing! And, she gave all the girls a couple sheets of tatoos, like we got in L.A. last week. Very, very nice! :goodvibes Kelly loved sharing her 'premiere' stuff with her guests also - our premiere pass lanyards, her pom-poms, and popcorn buckets. I printed some stuff from Disney also to share with them - the Prediction List and Travel Set. They really seemed to LOVE it all!

One of the girls Dad's insisted on driving his daughter/following us to the movie. :confused3 He didn't watch the movie with us, but he was waiting for us when we exited and had a pack of HSM3 trading card packs for each girl. Awww! Nice touch. :thumbsup2 He admitted he was clueless on the whole HSM-thing, but he managed to add some souvies for the girls. They began trading ASAP!

The movie, and night, as a whole - :thumbsup2

aww, she's cute Colleen.

How old did you say she is?

Good luck DU with your party and a big Happy Birthday to your mom.

How old did you say she is?

:rotfl2:

TW - what a cute doggie! I'm happy for you and I hope she fits well into your home.

DU - I second Robin's good wish for your party tonight. I hope it goes smoothly.

PD - How's your daughter doing? I hope her pain has lessened. Happy Belated Birthday to your other DD.

SWTHD - I bet you're having fun in WDW!

Betsy - tell the girls I said hello. They are such cuties and I just loved meeting them!

Kim - it sounds like your daughter and friends had a special night at HSM3. Am I a bad Disney fan if I say I've never seen any of the High School Musicals?

TLM83 - Happy Birthday to your DD! I second what DalPal (DP) says....don't blink, they grow up FAST!

Been a quiet day today. I made a new cookie bar recipe yesterday. Sort of like shortbread, but with a marmalade center. Tom really liked it...it tastes like Christmas.

Sister's trip is coming up fast....

Hiya Threadkillers!

I just put my new cake recipe in the oven....I'm SO excited. It's a poppyseed cake from a very, VERY nice wedding book - it was probably one of the most complicated recipes I've ever made. The batter was amazing - so I have high hopes for the cake.

I'm going to do an Italian Buttercream frosting in a basket weave pattern with flowers on top. The center is going to be an Orange Marmalade Buttercream.

Wish me luck!
