Hi everyone!

TW - I showed DH the "horns" and the repairs. He's like me...he's so happy the picture is done and over with that it doesn't bother him. Neither one of us are picture people...behind or in front of the camera! But it does look better without the deer sticking out of his head!

DU - I'm SO sorry to hear about your rug. Your frustrations just pile up. You NEED a vacation!

SWTHD - I hope you have a great time in WDW. It's hard to believe that my trip with the sisters is only 2 weeks away.

Hi Robin & Betsy! Sorry you're having cold weather. We've got some cold here, too. It was only 73 today, but beautiful and sunny. It's popping back up to the 80's one day this week.

Ya'll take care and I hope you're having a GREAT day!

DU,
:sad2: This isnt a NEW rug is it. .(part of the make over???)

No, but it was only about 5 years old, and didnt need to be replaced....until now!:headache:

I was off to Philly to meet a 9yo female akita we may Foster.

Her name is Kayda.

I am eventually going over to introduce Penny to her and see first if they'll get along.

:wizard:

John works next door and wants me to go over with him but the boss showed up,
we may now do this tomorrow.

I got an email from Macy's regarding a pt holiday job. Hopefully they pay enough to get me thru the Holiday. I am testing for a good job with the state of nj next month, that starts in january. I still plan to go back to school again in january too....that's the plan - gotta get hired at Macy's first

Good Luck with Kayda & Macy's. I worked in Macy's on 34th Street when I was in HS. I dunno about now, BUT they use to be one of the best Payers!:thumbsup2

DU - I'm SO sorry to hear about your rug. Your frustrations just pile up. You NEED a vacation!
Thanks! YES I DO! Everyday is a "adventure".

Just had my boss call....Last week a Customer gave me 2 CD's for their test. I wrote in LARGE BLOCK RED LETTERS on the report that at the end of the test, they MUST BE RETURNED TO SO & SO in Testing room L!

Even sent a seperate email out reminding whomever ends the test to do sooooooooo. I am very anal about things like this, keep excellent detailed documentation, etc. Only to have others always drop the ball!

Their test ended when I wasn't there...and of course NO ONE RETURNED THE CD's! The customer forget to ask for them, and no one bothered to do anything with them. So he is calling me....WTH????:confused3

Sidenote: We have a HUGE problem @ work with keeping track of the Customers data. I devised a system about 3 years ago how this can very easily be rectified. It was only 2 pages long. They powers at be were all excited about it, so much so it was presented to the CEO & the Board of directors (meanwhile I found this out by 'office gossip") and they were going to green light the system (which cost all about $1,000)then they did nothing about it!:confused3

So for about $1k, they can save BILLIONS of $ in assets! But they dont want to do it! Go figure!:confused3

Hi everyone!
SWTHD - I hope you have a great time in WDW. It's hard to believe that my trip with the sisters is only 2 weeks away.

Thanks :goodvibes It came up so fast! I hope it doesn't go fast when I get there :sad2:

I'm trying to finish packing - I hope I don't forget anything :scared:

Makenzie who will be 2 next month now speaks in sentences.

Her one and only sentence to any situation or question is "Me HATES THAT"!!!!:lmao:

Kiminy, I don't normally do teen movies but am really interested in seeing HSM3...
is it worthy of my $10 or should I wait for netflix?
I'm not spending $10 when I see it again this Friday. Remember, I dozed off a few times the 1st time. :rolleyes1 Don't you have an early/matinee show for $5-$6? popcorn:: I'd go then, if you really have to see it. ;) I enjoy the music, quite honestly.

Hey guys, we're at the aiport right now. Our flight was delayed and they're trying to get us on a different flight.

SWTD, what a way to start a vaca...

:wizard: Here's a little PD coming your way for a quick, smooth flight to FL~

Thanx Kiminy, you are quite right about the matinee...

hubby would never go anyway - maybe I'll grab up my niece and go :scratchin

Morning my Threadkillers

UGH! I hope they can get you out soon! Delays on the way to WDW are so frustrating! Don't they know the mouse is waiting for you?:confused3 Good luck!

Alot of people are like you guys....not everyone will take apart a photograph like I would to pick out what's best. I've seen photographers dis a photo cause the horizon wasn't straight - tbh, the horizon on that one photo was maybe a hair crooked, I only noticed a really pretty shot.

Thanks guys. We got a flight to Minneapolis so far so that's good. They want us to wait for like 5 hours to get this connecting flight that gets in at midnight but we think we found an earlier flight through airtran. I've never heard of them but they operate out of florida and they can get us in by 7 so we might do that option. We'd have to pay more but I really don't want to get in at midnight! We'll see if we can make the connection - it's cutting it kind of close but oh well. I can tell it's going to be an interesting day :rotfl:

I've used airtran, I'd say they're worthy~

From the east coast Airtran (which I believe is part of Frontier) and Southwest are the best priced airlines I've traveled on. Just make sure you eat when you get a chance cause these airlines at the most might offer you cookies, pretzels or peanuts and a beverage but that's it.

HI all! Just trying to catch up! Yesterday was my oldest daughter's birthday, she turned 17. (How the heck did this happen?:confused3 ) Before you know it she will have caught up with DU!;)

My middle daughter had surgery yesterday. You might remember that she tore her meniscus last April during track. SHe went thorugh all of the PT and had a second MRI which showed that everything had healed perfectly! So anyway, despite this she was still having alot of pain and swelling especially when she was really active (like soccer practice). They ran about a zillion tests on her ....lyme, rheumatism and goodness only remembers what else, everything came back negative. The doctor told her he hated to do it but he had to get back inside that knee to see what was going on, because a strong, helathy 14 year old girl should not be having these problems. He was hoping that one of the fasteners had come undone and was floating around, causing the irratation. Well it turns out that at some point she retore her meniscus. During the MRI it was just sitting in a closed position so looked totally healed. So over the course of the past few months the tear opened up a bit (luckily still only a minor tear). So he rerepaired the meniscus and he'll be taking it much slower this time. He was soooo upset. He said her pain must have been horrible these past few months. (But whenever we go to see him, she says it's only about a 2 on a scale of 1 - 10, so we all looked at it as discomfort, rather than real pain) She now says "well it really, really, hurt but I wanted to keep playing soccer!"

Last time he was pretty agressive with her treatment because she is an athlete and in such great shape....that kid is STRONG! Also she was really doing things in PT much sooner than they expected. Well now he is taking things very slowly. She is not started PT until the 17th (last time she started about 10 days post surgery). She is going to have to miss indoor track season, as that starts on the 10th of November.

She is looking forward to PT as she Loves her physical therapist and his assistant. They really do have a great relationship!

Tomorrow is my youngest daughter's birthday. She will be 13...yup 3 teenage girls in the house at once!:scared1: Her big plan was to get home from school, go to build a bear (an hour away from us), come back home, go out to dinner, and then go see HSM3 with her sister and NSalz's girls. We explained that there is not enough time in the day for that! SO she wil be going to HSM with the girls and if we can get early enough tickets we can then go to dinner. I'm going to try to get tickets later as I'm sure the movies will be mobbed tomorrow!

wow PD!

I sooo don't miss the busy-ness that comes with having kids in the house...

Adrian (22yo) never did move back. His current squeeze got a place near where he was in Philly and instead of moving his stuff back here he put his furniture at her place. He said she needed the furniture. I see it as he's using it too so he never really "gave" it to her to use. ;) He still stops by a couple nights a week for dinner and laundry (she doesn't have a washer and dryer.)

Brittany is still here (20 yo) and not working... but, she's got her own social life. Uses my house to sleep, eat and do laundry in and then heads out just about every night to be with one friend or another. She rarely needs me for anything except cash (which I make her do yardwork and housework to earn before I hand it over.)

John works all day and my DFIL has his own life including a girlfriend. Penny is my companion all day. John and I hang out every night. It's sooo nice not to have to run anymore and sit at sporting events and competitions all day, esp when it gets cold. Some may see it as boring, I see it as relaxing.

I work on my photos every day - there's always some that need editing or printing in my library. I have a wedding coming up I am photographing (for John's cousin's daughter.) The classes I have coming up in January will work threefold for me. I am going to take either Journalistic writing or Creative Writing (whichever is available at the time), I'm taking another computer class (this one will be an introduction into computer drafting/engineering), I also want to take media operations and radio production classes. If I get the job with the state I'll split those classes into a couple semesters, if not, I'll go back full time and knock em all out at once.

That's as busy as I get -

I am happy to be done with the kid stuff and now simply watch them proceed into their own lives.

instigator!:lmao:

Well it's a tough job but somebody has to do it ::yes::

Hey guys, we're at the aiport right now. Our flight was delayed and they're trying to get us on a different flight.

Good luck and hopefully you get to Disney as quickly as possible. We gave flown Airtran out of Detroit many, many times and never had a problem with them. I would not hesitate to use them again.

Yesterday was my oldest daughter's birthday, she turned 17.

My middle daughter had surgery yesterday. She now says "well it really, really, hurt but I wanted to keep playing soccer!"

That's a kid for you!!

Tomorrow is my youngest daughter's birthday. She will be 13

Wow, you have a busy week this week.

I sure don't miss all that stuff either. Well I do and I don't.

Sometimes I think if I knew then what I didn't know when my kids were little, that I would have slowed down and enjoyed those years a whole lot more.

The time runs by so quickly and all of a sudden they are all grown up and gone:guilty:

Hi Threadkillers!

I hope everyone is having a good day. SWTHD, I hope your plane is flying FAST and safe and you're in Disney sooner than you thought!

PD - I hope you're daughter is well. I'm sorry she had more complications than expected. Your oldest is 17? DH's oldest (and mine by marriage and in my heart) is 38. Where did time go? How did they get older when I didn't?

TW - I actually tipped the horizon...on the iMac. Since I didn't have a disc to save the pic on I just took the SD card in and used the original pics. I'm just grateful it's done. I am NOT a fan of having my picture taken. If you ever see me in them - I guarantee you my sisters made me get in the pic, I didn't volunteer!

Robin - thanks for replying! I thought about posting it on the threadkillers thread...that would be interesting :o)

Well, I think we have most arrangements for the sister's trip ironed out. When we're in Disney, no problem-o. Since Susan arrives a day early, we're trying to get everyone together so we can see them (quickly) and start our slumber party. That was an exercise in frustration!

I've got a pot of pasta sauce on the stove and I'm about to wrap some Christmas presents. We have a light rain outside, so the weather is perfect!

Ya'll take care!
