DU...new questions for you my friend...

Yes, I am still looking into some type of official computer training cert. I want to make sure it's something worthy AND something I'll stick with. I am very computer literate and have done programming in BASIC. I really don't want something as tedious as BASIC, I just want something I can do and can make a decent living doing.

Oracle, Microsoft systems, CISCO, SAP and SQL are at the top of my list - in your honest opinion, which of those (if any) do you think falls into what I am looking for??

Oracle, Cisco & SQL are a big Plus. Microsoft has been overkilled. Sap is great but many SAP jobs are now overseas. I will PM you my Company website, their main office is in Philadelphia & surrounding suburbs...look what they have & what they are looking for. Dont worry about a College degree. When you read the classifieds you will see "Colledge Degree or GED"!!!

Got it. I cant believe after 2 years these things are still hard to get. There was some couple in front of me online, and this was their EIGHTH time trying to get one at this store! , they have been trying since JULY, all over.
They got one this time. Luckily this was my second time out to get one...Got a Wii Fit too!

It worked! I narrowed my list down to Infortmation Systems and got my list of three schools I now have to visit (required) and then I can submit my application for the Tuition Grant!

I've always been good at computers, maybe it is about time I use it to get a nice paycheck...Unemployment will wind up paying about 3500 on my behalf - but for all the years I've been paying in to the system, it's about time I get something useful out of it.

Good evening all my TKer friends...

I have been soooo busy today...
Helped Mike put in stairs at my back door.. ..
I now have a useable back door....

and I taught Brittany how to use a sewing mechine.
I was very surprised that they didnt have sewing in
their home ec. classes. No cooking either...
They just get child care classes... .....

The other girls spent the day playing with the Wii..and Wii fit..
Money well spent IMO...

BUT everyone is now gone, and Im veggin on the PC....
Ya know its really quiet here after the girls go..

I didn't do a whole lot today.

A bit of housework this morning and to visit my dad this afternoon.

We took him out to McDonald's for icecream.

Then home and played Monopoly again for a bit and went out to dinner.

All in all a pretty good birthday.

One week from now I will be sitting in a dining room aboard the Disney Wonder

Robin....I don't know why, but I thought your cruise was TODAY! All day Tom and I keep thinking, "I bet Rick & Robin are doing this....or that..." based on the boarding time, etc!

I know you've got to be excited! I can't wait for our cruise. Tom thinks 7 days might be a little too long....I DON'T! I think it will be just right (or maybe a little on the too short side).

I'm headed to Orlando tomorrow, but I'm bringing the laptop with me. I'll be back on Thursday and have my cake decorating class that night, so I'll be making frosting (cake is in the freezer). So if ya'll don't hear from me, I'm playing with my grandkids!

The excitement is starting to set in, finally.

I'm starting to realize that it is only 5 days until we leave and I better get some things done first.

Of course there is a tropical storm brewing down there right now.

Hopefully it moves very quickly or exceedingly slowly, so that it doesn't impact our cruise all that much.

We have done one 7 day cruise and we always wondered if it would be too much but it really wasn't.

Colleen, we are doing the 4 day cruise which has one sea day, Nassau and Castaway Cay.

Hi Robin!

I noticed the storm...it'll probably form into a TS in the next day or so. With luck, it will move rapidly. We like January for cruising - no hurricanes. But, you do have colder weather and a good chance of rain!

You better get all your stuff done...I'm excited for you!

Hard to believe it's only 45 days until the big sister's trip in Disney. We're gonna have so much fun! I've got lots of travel between now and January....WooHoo!

I hope you win the internet package and are able to keep in touch...

Sounds like it was a great day - but next week this time will be EVEN BETTER!!!!

SOOOOO....we had 104 proofs to choose from for Ryan's senior photos....i am OFFICIALLY BROKE now....but i have Christmas gifts for all of our families!!

Our football teams did GREAT Friday night; JV won 22-8 & Varsity slammed the Aztecs 47-0....Ryan played ALOT!!!! that's always a good thing & now i have another 80+ photos for his album

hope you all had a really great wkend....almost my bedtime...going to work very early tomorrow & tuesday - as i leave for Memphis early Wed a.m. & get home very late Thursday night.....uggghhhhh

I'm not really up on how tropical storms work, so hopefully this one won't be a problem, unless of course it turns our 4 night cruise into a 7 night cruise.

Then I won't complain too much except that we will miss MNSSHP.

Having vacations to look forward to is so much fun.

Did I tell you guys that we are looking into a January cruise.

Friends of ours want to cruise and asked us to join them. I'm not sure yet when it will be or with which cruise line but at least it's something to think about.

Are you doing the Eastern or Western 7 day cruise???

When I did the eastern, I did very little on the islands except maybe a little shopping right at the port and take pictures of them from the ship. Being on the ship with little to no people was my idea of heaven~

The winds were also up pretty high when we got to CC that alot of the excursions, like parasailing, weren't running. We did the banana boat - it was only cool because the boat took us all the way around the Magic.

If I had done the western, I would've gotten off the ship and did a little more...we were going to do a walking tour of Key West, a boat tour of Grand Cayman and the Tulum ruins at Cozumel.

We have done some excursions but don't tend to do a lot.

This time my mom and I are doing the Blue Lagoon Dolphin Encounter which looks really cool.

We have done some ruin tours on other cruises and also some island tours which were quite interesting .

Spa treatments don't interest me at all
