All these BIG companies laying off people is reallly getting bad.

They lay off all their IT people and give us all their systems to figure out!!!! Really scary stuff.

Now ya tell me.... I just had Burger King and I think it's doing back flips in my stomach.

I cant do BK either....I swear the "charcol broiled" stuff is painted on!

I think I am going to end the semester with 2 As 2 Bs and a C.

I got approved to take more classes over the summer if I don't find a job AND I can continue my unemployment benefits ~

BK, Wendys, McDonalds...I try to get the salads there, but I dont eat much fast food anymore....especially after Robins experiment.. ...

Too bad I love french fries so much, they are my weakness. Even being good and gettting the salad I still get a small fry .... McDonalds fries are my favorite...BUT only if they are fresh made and hot....I dont like them after they cool down...I alway eat my fries first...

Well The girls will be here soon, ...except for maybe Victoria, she was not feeling well in church...
Its Julias turn to help with dinner....We will be having tacos...(soft flour )

BTW, Julia went to her prom last night!.......She went stag, with a bunch of other friends...She was bummed at first to not have a date, but she said she had a blast!....Went to the Olive Garden for dinner and then to the school..in a limo..Twelve kids split the cost...Im soo glad she had a good time...
I never went to a prom myself...

Its kind of cloudy here today and after the rain last night, a little chilly, although its suppose to get into the mid sixties.Thats not as nice as the last few days, but its not too bad!

Tomorrow is Mikes birthday...
Still not sure what we will be doing ...if anything...
He has to work, So Im thinking of just making him a nice dinner...I havent figured out what yet....

Fast food kills John's stomach...chinese, japanese and pizza are as close to fast food as he gets. I like me some McFries! I try not to eat there often but consolate myself by getting water and a very small sandwich, like a happy meal.

DalPal - I'm sorry I wasn't on early enough to give you dinner ideas. DH and I had a low cal dinner. Grilled chicken and a green salad. I ran across the coolest recipe for Blueberry Crostada's. They are a bit of a pain in the you-know, but well worth it when you try them!

Robin - I'm glad you're feeling better. The french fry experiment is still going on? Since I'm a french fry fan (McD's) I'll keep my rose colored glasses on!

DU - your dinner sounded great! I love Italian food. After living in Italy for 3 years, I developed a need for it at least once a week! Painted on charco-broiled stripes! That was SO funny!

Carys - if you're willing to share your leed casserole, I'd love to have a copy! I adore trying new recipes.

Evening everyone.

I did my good deed for the day today

I was out with my mom tonight and coming home there is a park really close to my house.

I glanced into the park while we were going by and see this little dog walking down the sidewalk pulling what looked like a leash behind it

It was a cute little dog, looked just like Holly, Ann.

I didn't see any people around and I thought, I don't like the looks of that

So I went and turned around to see what was going on, maybe I had missed the people??

But by then the little dog was headed down the middle of a street.

I stopped the car and talked to her and she came right to me.

Good puppy.

I checked her collar and she had a tag with her name and phone number on it Her name is Truffles.

I recognized the name and called the number and asked if they were missing a dog to which the lady responds enthusiastically, YES.

She asked me where I was and said her husband would be right there to pick her up.

Apparently her daughter (who I have vaguely known since she was a toddler and is now a teenager ) had taken the dog for a walk and tied her to a bush in the woods and she got loose.

She was out with her boyfried

The man who I also recognize from when the kids were little at school came to get the dog and the daughter and the boyfriend were walking up as I left.

Hmmmm, I wonder if she got into a bit of trouble when she got home. What was she doing in the woods with her boyfriend when the dog was tied to a bush

So Truffles has returned home. Thankfully because she is half blind and they weren't sure that she knew her way home but obviously she did because she was headed in the right direction.

So here is the funny twist to this story.

When Alex was about 8 or 9 his epi-pen slipped out of his pocket one winter day when he was running home from a friends house.

This family's son found it while delivering his papers and it was returned to us.

So, it has come full circle.

seriously cool.

It's a printed brochure, I used "best photo" quality on my printer and they turned out gorgeous~ I checked with office max today and they said they could put a binding on it for me for $4. I'm sold.

I have to also get iron on paper for another class project. My group is doing the job of a telelveision production company and have to sell the "network" i.e. teacher our original tv show. We need merchandise to promote the show and are making tshirts of the logo.

I made this for that class...
