My father leaves the rehab/nursing facility on Tuesday! It's been an exhausting 4 months!!

Well, I opened the closet door and one of the rods fell down! We have an awesome California Closet that DH built, so it's not the entire closet, just a 3' top rod holding (of course) my clothes. So....today was go through the closet day!

Maybe that is your hint that you need to buy yourself some new clothes

I've been working on a couple portrait scenarios today...enough to give a rough idea to the teacher for her approval next week~

My entertainment management class has a group of us working on a promotion for a tv show. That's next for me cause it's due on wednesday~

I have a test in chemistry lab to study for as well, so i guess its a nother homework weekend for meh~

The end of this will be coming up fast, my graduation should be the middle of this May

HI ALL!!!

Trying not to just fly by tonight, and I see, quickly, that Betsy and Colleen need some {{HUGS}}, P&PD, and well wishes! Hope things end up ok with you both, and your Mom and dog.

I am here tho myself for some PD as well, not for me, but for my Aunt. She lost her 50yo husband last week due to major complications from diabetes/amputations/infections, etc. and immediately thereafter, was admitted to the same hospital with a tumor on her bladder. Her bladder is basically gone, it's cancerous, very aggressive, and in her bones now, with several other tumors throughout her body that they're not even dealing with right now. So basically, she hasn't left that hospital in over a week now. She hasn't even buried her husband, altho not urgent - he was cremated, but still on her mind. She has had tubes put in both her kidneys, and had a port inserted for chemo and radiation. She's received 2 treatments so far and seems to be handling it ok, so far. Without treatment, the Dr. gave her 2 months. With treatment, it's anywhere from 2-6-8 months, no one knows. Much depends on HER. She's 56.

Good Morning TKers!!

I've been lurking, but have been too crazy busy to take time to post, but I've definitely been thinking of all of you! Lots of PD all around! Looks like it's been a rough week for so many.

Betsy, how did things go yesterday. Hope mom is ok and glad that you are getting a much needed break. I know it has to be hard and that it will be odd to get used to your Mom being out of the house, but we all know that you are doing the right thing.

Colleen, glad things are looking up for Mika (poor puppy).

Kim, nice to see you again! Hoping for a miracle for your aunt. How is she handling all of this? Must be so much more difficult with her husband having just passed away. Do they have children?

DU, have your mom and dad helpers been in yet? If so how is that working out and, if not, when do they start?

DD(12) is performing with our all county middle school chorus today. They have been rehearsing with just the people in their school since January, and last night the entire chorus (9 school districts) got together for rehearsal. They also rehearse all day today followed by the concert in late afternoon. I told her she may see some people that she goes to camp with at rehearsal. When I picked her up she said she didn't see anyone from camp, but she met up with her best friend from nursery school. She went to nursery school about 45 minutes rom here. There were also a few other nursery school friends there. The other nursery school kids all go to the same middle school and the kids said that they still talk about Kelsey often and wonder what she up to. It was really sweet.

I was in the all-county chorus too. I remember picking DD up at our local college last night and saying to DH. I guess they found a system that works, this is the exact rehearsal room I used for middle school all county chorus!

Good morning everyone

Thank you all for the P&P....
It worked out alright...She has a nice room mate...Everyone was very welcoming....We stayed the morning, and left after lunch...Which was alright..but a little bland, as expected...
When it was time to leave she was alittle panicked, but a few other ladies, kind of took her under their wing and started to talk to her about how nice it was there...so that made it a little easier...
I have been feeling a little bad, but I know it will take a while...
Today we are going to go and spend some more time there...and then we will bring the girls tomorrow for a short visit too....
I will still be doing our Thurs. shopping/lunch day...Ill just swing around and pick her up befor I go to my Sons and get one of the boys...
I was also told that Albert is very welcome to come with me any time...

I see that ther is some good news with Mika... ..Ill still be praying for him...

Well we are also taking the twins to church for their first confession today ..so its going to be a busy one

Hi TKers!

Laptop ended up at the computer doctor. Bad backlight, burned up a whole bunch of pixels in the bottom right corner. Doctor wanted to know if I wanted to replace the whole LCD panel I said, um.. no. I can live with it the way it is - backlight replaced of course.

Hope everyone is doing ok. It's going to take me a bit to catch up. around.

Good morning all.....

body shop is going to heat up the bumper - pop the dent out & buff the scratches...wont be absolute perfect but will do till i want to replace the whole darn bumper....AND they are doing this at NO CHARGE...i guess since they still have Ryan's car that is costing a few grand, they are just throwing this in
fortunately is was just the bumper - the lights/frame/etc weren't even touched....

Going to do a 7-mile walk today....that puts this wk's total walking mileage at 21 miles.....

Betsy - how are you doing??? And your Mom?? doing okay too...

Ann - so good to have you back with us~ yeah i guess that is considered a 'rock concert' but it sure was good....i had been to see Green Day a few yrs back - they were great & U2 about 4 yrs ago....they are my absolute favorite & have been for many yrs!

DH & I used to go (MANY MANY yrs ago) to a 2-day concert in the Calif mtns called "Mountain Air" - they had a variety of great bands....we saw ZZ Topp, Journey (WITH Steve Perry), Foreigner, Katrina & the waves....can't remember who else - but those were some FUN days....of course we weren't married back then - that's why we had SOOOOO MUCH FUN!!! JK!
