I wonder if they will put all of these closed "chopped up" threads in a special spot for us or if we will have to hunt for them if we ever want them.

So, what's the difference between having a few long threads or starting new threads every 250 pages.

YOU! You woulda coulda shouda been a IT GURU!!!! You are right. Its NOT the size of the thread or the amount of threads...Its the way the software goes to the tread.
In software speak....when you go to any thread, more times it is too the last page. This is called a "Pointer". It is imperative that you go directly to WHAT YOU POINT TO!!!!
So when you click on the TK thread you always go to the end. What is happening with this software that is used by DIS (in the background) is that....it really goes to the first post and then clogs thru too the last post. Hence 1000's disers going to 1,000 threads the slow down.

Now, Dis like many other various Board owners purchased this software called
vBulletin from a Vendor named
Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd!
When Jelsoft sells their software, there is different grades of it, sort of like small, medium and large. I am not sure which version DIS owns...but it aint the Large. I am sure that Jelsoft has a FIX or Upgrade for this problem, however that would cost $$$$$$$$. My hunch is that DIS dont want to pay the $$$$.
My last job was a software Engineer for a Software company. One of the products i supported was a archiving documents package...where using "pointers" is a BIG deal. However when new customers inquired about this software...they always either accepted what the Salseman told them, or were completly clueless.
I am sure this might have happened here too. Also they may have set something up originally, and now cant go back & fix it. That is also very common.
Sidenote: In Hillary Clintons campaigsn, she talks about saving $$$ with Medical ELECTRONIC Documents, to pay for NHC.....This IS IT!!!! It is very very very important to Do it right the first time, cause this is one of those things...that is nearly IMPOSSIBLE to fix once its started. Spent about 10 years of my career working specifically on these issues
If dont right from the getgo...it is VERY HELPFUL & very cheap to use. If not done correctly.......
So if any of you ever buy software....ALWAYS think of what you want/need before you buy...cause If it sounds too good to be true....It usually is.

I'm not sure but someone told me when she had her wisdom teeth out she was fine during the day but as soon as she laid down to sleep it would start to hurt like crazy
As soon as she sat in the recliner chair it was okay again??
I know that if I have sinus trouble I sleep much better in the recliner.
No there is no drainage, at least I don't seem to have any.
The kids were getting a good laugh anyways
Good to know that I'm good for something.
My 4 hours between pills is up and I really don't have any pain to speak of. Maybe just a tiny bit of achy feeling.
I think that I will take the pills at least until tomorrow morning, just in case. I can reassess the need for more drugs then.
Usually I can handle the pain pretty easy. Natural childbirths and no major pain killers after having my gall bladder out either.
I was given Tylenol 3.
