Why are we getting 'Moving to Tokyo" Real Estate advertisements on this thread?????:lmao:

Maybe the DISboard powers to be are really planning on closing us up and moving us out :rotfl2:

BTW, I saw your Ricky Ricardo post (had me rolling!), and responded, but I think I killed that thread, as it's no where to be found anymore, probably on page 10 by now!:guilty:

:thumbsup2 It there now!

John *is* better today thank you all~

His mom is off today so they let me sleep in :cloud9

Considering I haven't slept in a week, I was VERY grateful.

Yes, we made it to sis' house. We stayed til the end of the first half but had to leave cause John started not feeling well again. I told him "baby steps." It was nice to get out...it was even nicer to get home and watch the Giants win! :woohoo: John hasn't called bil to rub it in yet, but he will.

I have class in an hour- this is just my daily fly by...

LY all MI!

DH on left in his Giant's Jersey, BIL on the right in his "new shirt."

The next few are NOT for the faint of heart...they are pretty graphic and clickable if you want to see the full size pics...BE FORWARNED, THEY ARE GROSS!

Ouch Colleen.

Poor Poor John.

You can see it in his face, how much he is hurting and the fact that he probably hasn't had much sleep lately.

Makes my tooth pulling session coming up this afternoon seem easy compared to that.

Yesterday I went with my mom to visit my dad in the nursing home.

My mother asked him if he knew who she was and he says...... yes, you are my wife.

Then she asked if he knew who I was and he said I was his daughter. He actually called me by name:woohoo:

Small thing I know but made us feel good.

My mom mentioned that my son Alex had been on my dad's floor doing a patient transfer but grandpa was sleeping so he didn't wake him up.

Mom asked him if he remembered who Alex was and he said......... he's my grandson.:goodvibes

He also recognized Liz's name and he mentioned another grandson's name too.

This was all great but he still could not carry on any conversation that made sense to the time or place.

He was telling us about moving siding around and throwing things in the junk etc.

Oh, well, just nice to know that he actually knew who we were. :)

Yeah, it was a good feeling that he knew us.

A funny story:

While we were visiting there was an older couple probably 70 ish visiting with an older lady in a wheelchair (probably was one of their mothers I'm thinking).

The older lady in the chair was asking about this person or that person and was told... well there aren't too many around any more.

She must have wondered why because the man says to her....... what, do you think you're 20 years old or something.

To which the older lady must have replied yes, I am 20 years old.

The man laughed and said.... You are NOT 20, you are 95:scared1:

The old lady seemed totally bewildered by that statement:lmao:

I suppose there is somnething to be said for being stuck at age 20!:goodvibes

Okay I survived the initial part of the toothpulling ordeal.

The tooth is gone.

Thought I was going to pass out afterwards though and had to sit there for quite awhile before they let me leave.

The pulling part was really no big deal at all.

Really quick and simple.

Now I can look forward to the freezing coming out in a couple of hours:scared:

I've got the kids laughing at me really hard right now.

I took some pain killers about an hour ago and they are definitely taking effect:thumbsup2

Apparently they are making me a tiny bit loopy and I'm having trouble spitting the proper words out :lmao:

So, if I type something weird, I apologize in advance:laughing:

I have no pain though :rotfl:

It was me, my mom and Liz. I got $150.00 out of the nickel slot machine :woohoo: Of course $20.00 of that was money that I originally put in but I was pretty happy with that. I've never won that much before:banana:
:cool1: Congrats!!

I agree with Robin... you can see the pain and discomfort in his eyes.
I'm glad to hear John is doing a bit better. Thanks for sharing the pictures.

No nap yet.

Sounds like a good idea though.

I've heard that it is better to sleep upright when you have teeth pulled, so I think I'll just head straight for the recliner chair.

DU~ I guess you can take 'Temporary' out of the title?:confused3

Yeah, that's too bad but not much we can do about it.

I wonder if they will put all of these closed "chopped up" threads in a special spot for us or if we will have to hunt for them if we ever want them.

A question for DU??

So, what's the difference between having a few long threads or starting new threads every 250 pages.:confused3

It's still the same amount of pages in the end, isn't it:confused:

I'm not sure what the real answer to your question is but maybe it takes longer to load a thread with thousands of posts then to load a thread with less then 250. :confused3

But what I don't understand...won't it still take a while for it load when we try to just look at it?

Or does it have to do with posting?

Du?!?!

Oh yea, why is it better to sleep sitting up when you have a tooth pulled? Is there drainage?
