As I remember....on the old thread....a bunch of us gathered as we drew near to page 150....

back then, threads were locked down on that page....

i'm thinking we were the first...or close to the first thread that went past 150 pages....

I did not see the footage of that 6/7 race but it must have been VERY close because they went back and forth a couple of times. I was surprised to see that had officially scored Kasey 6th.

Being a Brooklyn Boy, I know nutin about Nascar!

However I did once go to a Nascar race down in Florida, with my friend and his sons. This was right after Dale Ernhardt passed away.

All I can tell you that there was way tooooo many people Hysterically crying, Men, Woman & Children SCREAMING "we luv ya Dale"!

Very surreal experience for me.

No excuses for Yankees! Just kidding, I got past the "trying to convert people to NASCAR" a long time ago. Right about the time I figured out I'd make a BAD Scientologist

I remember that day Dale Ernhart was killed very clearly. I had left Dallas for the last time and driving my way across the South heading for Atlanta. I had the race on the radio, they went first to radio silence, then to commercials, then back to the commentators who said very little. It wasn't until I was in Atlanta and saw the news that I found out what had happened.

We have tornado watches and warning around here all the time.

I'm used to them and would prefer that to freezing rain and snow any day.

I too am very glad that we are still here and able to add new members into our Threadkiller group.

We are always open to new posters who come along, some stay for years and others only for minutes.

I've learned with any sport the end of the race, game, whatever...is when I want to watch. I believe Ernhardt died with like 8 laps left to go in the race??? I'm not a Nascar nut but I did see the day that Dale died.

The closest I've ever come to a live race was time trials at Indy when I was around 10.
