Good Mornin!

Have Fun!:wizard: Do you stand in the middle of a market and yell "SRRRRRRRAWWWWWWWW-Ber- RRRRRRRRRIES"?
:lmao: :lmao: oh that would probably be WAY MORE FUN that having these very formal meetings....

Hello

Thanks guys. It took a long time and a lot of hard work for Roger to get where he is now. He started all the way at the bottom and is in a good place right now and keeps moving up higher. :thumbsup2 We're all very proud of him. We came from nothing... :lmao:

Seriously when we first got married we had NOTHING!! Stayed in a very crappy small apartment and slept on the floor because we could not afford a bed!!! There were some days we went to bed hungry and many times we had to go to his parents house to eat and do our laundry. :sad2:

We were young and stupid but as soon as Dante came we knew things had to change. We straightened up pretty fast.

Anyways, we live pretty comfortable now thanks to Roger's very hard work and dedication to take care of his family. We never thought in a million years we could live the "American Dream" :lmao: (be homeowners)

Okay, I don't know why I just told you guys all that :rotfl2:
I guess it looks pretty bad and I'm leaving out some stuff but you get the jest of it.

DU~ how's da mudda's leg today? Is she keeping it wrapped up? I hope the swelling goes down and it stops bothering her soon.

So cool that you and Roger are in the same line of work, eh? (noted)

Colleen, yes the Dolphin was nice other then the disappointment of the beds. You can't beat the location. Also while we stayed there there were a lot of business men and woman. I think there was a convention that week.

We looked kind of funny in our vacation gear walking the lobbies weaving in and out of all the business men with their cocktails standing around chit chatting. :rotfl: I bet we annoying to them.

But yes, The Swan/Dolphin offers teachers, nurses, government discounts and I think some others but I can't remember them all. It's pretty good deal I think.

Brenda we've been missing you and now you're gone til Wednesday :sad2:

:teeth:

I hope :wizard: :wizard: the rain stops for you and that you have a good trip!

Sell those BERRIESSSSSSS
Thanks...it was A VERY SUCCESSFUL convention for sure....Yeah Cally - i also know what you mean about coming from nothing....i think we can all be proud of hard work & accomplishments that we achieve....beats the heck out of it being handed over...

Thank you! :goodvibes

You should be proud! It sounds like he not only has a cool job but an important one as well.

I've always thought is was odd that fireplaces in houses in the South seem very popular. I'm not sure if it is just for decorative reasons or not. I've not run into many in the South who actually use their's. I'd rather have the wall space. All the house plans I am looking at have fireplaces! You lose a whole wall - especially in the plans where the fireplace is flanked by windows. But, having grown up in the North, I know how wonderful they can be on those snowy nights, and downright cold days as well.

I often ask my self that very same question! I work for a very large company who's market share is in systems and business process outsourcing. My business unit delivers service to mid - large ERP customers who wish to outsource their ERP ans/or Messaging solution to reduce cost. I report into the Solutions Team along with the Solutions Engineers and Architects. The team is responsible for working with Sales and customers to plan and spec out technical landscapes, including network infrastructure, server farms, and primary/secondary business solutions. I'm responsible for support functions for this team and the rest of our business unit. Among my responsibilities are vendor interaction, primary interface to other corporate support teams, capital expediture processing, procurement, and ownership of a number of SharePoint pages that I keep to enable central communication and document management. <That's the short version!> :)

:) I'm sure most of us had a dwelling furnished in "Early Poverty" - I know I did. My first apartment (I was 23 and moved 1800 miles away with a guy I'd known for less than a year) in Dallas we had a mattress on the floor, and went around stealing milk crates for our other furniture! I remember those days fondly... :rotfl: Oh, and I STILL do laundry at my parent's.

This reminds me of a trip where we stayed at the Boardwalk! I was with my Aunt and her family (note: this is my mother's youngest sister and she is actually closer in age to me than to my mom). We were riding round on one of those six seater bike thingys and going all the way around the waterway. Over at the Beachclub they were having a Business Affair - Cocktail Party type thing with people in business attire. To get all the way around you had to weave through them on the sidewalks. It was very commical, and some of them were a more than a little tipsy. They starting cheering us on and then started betting on how fast we could make the circuit! :rotfl2: Drunk Business people away from home... there's nothing else like them.

Well Happy Weekend TKers! Relax, kick back, enjoy your family and pets!

Today's Weather: Still YUCKY in my opinion. No sun, only 47 degrees. Yes, that is cold in Georgia!
Today's Word: Troll - An Internet troll, or simply troll in Internet slang, is someone who posts controversial and usually irrelevant or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, with the intention of baiting other users into an emotional response or to generally disrupt normal on-topic discussion.
Today's Question: If you were invisible, where would you go?

WOW....that sounds like a complicated job to be sure!!!!

:thumbsup2 I perfectly understood that!!!! My last job was a Systems Engineer for a Software Co. I HATE Salespeople!:lmao:

i'll not take that personally;) :rotfl: of course the real difference is, most of our clients come to us LOOKING to buy our strawberries....from truckloads to millions of pounds

Colleen~

I think the dragons are too busy for stamps. The pics are good, but I don;t think they would work as stamps.

Cally~ So glad you know who Bill is! The show was great! He had me laughing so hard that I had to wipe away tears a few times. DH laughed so much. I think I done good on the Christmas present.

Welcome Meredith! So nice to have a real 19 year old. DISUNC pretends he's 19, but we all know he's just a:joker: !

We have a pretty cool Bishop - he grants a extra 'vacation' day every year...so thurs 2/28 was the perfect day since they already had the 29th off for Catholic conference.....it was pretty cool to be at the park on Feb 29th...& the dream passes just added to the magic!

That's honest! I do appreciate that~

It;s hard to judge my stuff, I am simply too close to it...

If I remember correctly, didn't you have tons of pics from Chinese New Year? Are there some others that would work? I really do love the color, like the sunsets they are very vibrant.

I feel like a thread killer. No one really ever replies to anything I really post. Like my trip report has a few readers (thanks to those who have read :D I appreciate it soo much) whereas lots of others have a lot of people reading. *sniffles* I feel soo unloved.

:wave2: Meredith! Welcome. Just so you know, this week I almost killed a very long thread called "Who said that..." <sheesh> Can you believe that?

hi all.....back from Disneyland....was LOTS of fun...although i'm REALLY sick with the cold/flu stuff going around....Friday was terrific....we were really early to the park & got into Main Street BEFORE they opened up the park...SO that was cool....and started out with NO ONE there...and we found the other St Francis kids that were in LA for Catholic Youth Day so we let the boys go off with them...and we made our way to the left (Indiana Jones...Pirates etc.)...

Jealous, jealous, jealous! I'm writing Disney Execs now to complain about why you have the most excellent Indiana Jones ride and we do not! Glad you had a good trip. Welcome back! :)

:confused3 How come when I went to Catholic School, all we ever did was go to church and say Rosaries?????:sad1:

Hey, me too! This is funny for all you Catholic School kids... the Nun my Dad had for fifth grade math, Sister Mary Evelyn, was the SAME Nun I had for fifth grade math! She was Sister Mary Agnes when I had her. You should have heard my Dad and that parent teach conference.

I know who Bill Cosby is... :yay:

:wave2: Cally! Ready for another week of walking the floors?

Is it normal for cats to like peanut butter? Run off with your whole sandwich, like?

I so agree with you AM....DS & I were SOOOOOO disappointed that there wasn't an Indy ride at WDW...just some stunt show...i was so shocked...we didn't even go into the stunt show....so i rode Indy for you....quite a FEW times :-)
