:thanks: :cool1: :grouphug:

Yup, being a packrat comes in handy sometimes afterall.

Am I allowed to call John, Grumpy :smooth: :rotfl2:

Kim, it looks like we've turned into the late night crew again. We used to do a fair amount of that back in the good old days :p

My clock has turned turned to 1 am and I think that I'd better try and get myself some sleep.

I'm hoping to sleep in tomorrow :confused3 Might happen, going to try to make it happen anyways. :cat:

Enjoy the rest of your night Kim.

Talk to you again soon.

Edited to add: The DIS clock is STILL off :confused3

Robin, you're an hour AHEAD of me - GO TO BED!!! ;)

I'll manage the 'late-night' around here! :rotfl:

Thank you for everything!!

Matt just got home, gotta talk with him for a minute. ;)

Good morning and a good Good Friday to everyone.

I've been noticing a lot of posts on the boards today about school, doctors appointment etc.

Here almost everything is shut down on Good Friday. Actually in my city stores are not allowed to be open unless they are of a certain size (smaller), so no grocery stores or department store shopping today.

Is this not the case in the US?

It better not be the case Im on my way to get all my Easter shopping done...
With Mike home sick yesterday...I bumbed everything for today...and cooking tomorrow...

Gotta run.... :moped:

Have a great Good Friday everyone!

Betsy, I'll be interested to hear if you got your shopping all done.

Stores here must be closed by law today and also on Sunday. There are only a very few days of the year that the stores are required to be closed.

I'm not doing any Easter shopping. My kids aren't really into candy, so I stopped getting them it a few years ago.

Today we are going to dinner at my parents house with the whole family.

Our government has this issue with separating church and state...

;)

Employers can choose to be open or closed today but almost everyone will be closed on Sunday. In my area anyway...

Our easter is more of a family day and in my family attendance is mandatory. Even if the boss said he'd be open I would not be going in.

Some malls, convenience and grocery stores will be open but I think that's about it.

Do you guys remember a few days back I told you about my mom's sister being in the hospital and dying.

She passed away about an hour ago. Today was her 67th birthday. She was also my godmother. We weren't particularly close for the past 20 odd years but when I was younger we were. She lived 4 hours away and I rarely saw her since I got married. We did have a family get together last July when I got to see her and her family again. I'm glad that I had that opportunity.

Happy Birthday, Aunt Pat, may you rest in peace

Sorry to hear that Robin. May she rest in peace.

Happy Good Friday everyone!!

Yep, Kim ready to eat some fish. :p

Stores are open here ...even restuarants. Hubby even had work today but no school for the kids. As for Sunday... I think most of the stores will be open.

Speaking of school...I took my first test today! :thumbsup2 :teacher: It seemed pretty easy so I'm guessing I did pretty good. I hope I didn't overlook something or make a dumb mistake. We shall find out on Monday what I got! :yay:

And yes...it is hot in the south today!!!! :sunny: 91 degrees ... :faint: I refuse to turn on the ac this early. The boys did play out in the sprinklers though. :sulley: :figment:

I also got alot of cleaning done today... both bathrooms are sparkly clean, the floors are clean, and the furniture is dusted!! I love a clean house. Now let's mess it up :lmao:

Wow, did I ever eat too much today. :sad2:

We had a nice dinner at my parents house today but I shouldn't have eaten so much, now I'm tired and lazy.

Thanks for the well wishes on the death of my aunt. Our branch of the family tree celebrated her life today at my parents house. It was the way she would have wanted it to be.

What a beautiful night it is out tonight. I stepped outside a bit ago and the stars are really bright and I could hear the frogs singing, the temperature is quite balmy.

Ahh, spring......I love it.
