Who feels like a Thread-Killer? Part 6

Hey everyone..

I think I have an MGM pic in that exact location too... :teeth: Of course I would have to do some digging to find it.

Today is a very nice day!!! I spent a good amount of time on the back porch studying.

Steph, I know highlighting and dying your hair is not good while pregnant but I'm not sure about the gardening? :confused3 Anyone know??

Just stay away from pesticides

My garden is primarily organic, totally natural. Basil and peppermint are natural bug repellents, we grow both. We compost, which means all winter we thro food scraps into the dirt and turn it over into the ground to decompose and turn into a natural fertilizer. We'll throw banana peels, egg shells, lettuce, vegetable scraps among a few other things.

IOW, gardening at my house would be perfectly safe for you...you shouldn't stretch or exert yourself too much tho-so heavy troweling is out.

:surfweb: Good Morning!

:sunny: Here ...

DH has the flu or something :guilty: ..So he is home today...
Hopefully its only the "24" hr. kind....

Its another house cleaning day...and getting ready for Easter....
My clan are coming around noon for an Easter egg hunt and then a nice Easter dinner...
We will be having lamb stew, and ham....with lots of sides :teeth: ...Mashed sweet potatoes, Asparagus risotto...home made ice cream for dessert!..Yum!..and I get to eat :yay: anything I want to on Easter!

Hope you all enjoy YOUR day!
:wave2:

:sunny: :wave2:

tiggerwannabe - Thanks for the info! Now I can get busy planting some stuff then. :)

Betsy - Sorry to hear your DH is sick! It's settled I'm coming to your house for Easter ;) jk. Actually my inlaws are making dinner at their house it should be good. Can't wait till baby is old enough to start doing egg hunts and what not.

Hi

We're having an egg hunt here too. Not sure what we'll have for dinner though. My sil and her boyfriend are staying over for the weekend...(bring on the drinks ;) ) If we do have a big dinner then most likely the "out"laws will come :teeth:

Betsy, Hope your hubby gets well soon! :wizard:

I'm off to class at 1 :teacher:

Still rainy here. I heard some thunder a couple of times too.

Rick is not feeling the best either today. He went into work (late) but he did go and he hasn't come back home yet, so I'm guessing he's holding out okay.

We are going to dinner at my parents house on Friday with the whole family there, or most of them anyways.

My mother's sister is in the hospital (4 hours away) probably not going to live much longer. :sad2: It has gone really quickly for her. She was at home on Saturday and now she is in the hospital not expected to make it. She wasn't feeling really well for the last few weeks, a few doctors visits and finally her daughter took her to the hospital on Saturday. She was having problems breathing and she did have a history of breathing problems in the past. I think they have figured she is in the final stages of lung cancer and is on morphine and quite sedated. It's sad but she has lived her life at home pretty much until her final hours, so far and we can only hope that she goes quickly and peacefully. She was a heavy smoker for years. Friday is her 67th birthday. :guilty:

On a more exciting note :cheer2: :cheer2:

I GOT A PARCEL TODAY!!

The very first threadkiller exchange parcel has arrived and oh my what a parcel it was. More details to follow in a later post. :smooth:

Hey, the sun is shining now :sunny: :thumbsup2

Here are a few pictures that I took of the kitchen progress today. The stuff all over the walls is the glue left behind when I took the wainscotting off. I guess we've got to get someone in to repair those walls too.

The fridge is moved to where it will live after the kitchen is finished. The stove will move over closer to the fridge later. The tape you can see on the floors and on the walls is where the new cabinets will be. I know I'm obsessive but I wanted to know what it would be like when it was finished. ;)

AND NOW............. the first threadkiller season/holiday exchange parcel to be received.

These are all of the cool things that I received today from Kim. Thanks so much Kim for all of the nice things. Kim knows ALL of my weaknesses  . On the far right is a bag full of chocolate items. I can almost open my own chocolate shop now ;) I love the egg salt and peppers too. The Thumper plate is so adorable :goodvibes

My turn now to send the package along to the next threadkiller......don't know who that is yet but as soon as I find out I'm going shopping :smooth:

We had a weird weather day today. It would storm and then the sun would shine and then it would storm and so on, all day long :umbrella:

SOOOOOOOOOOO, where is everyone hiding out today :confused3 I feel like I'm talking to myself

I took the first cabinets down off the kitchen wall today. :smooth: Well, Alex helped with the last 2 screws but it came down with no trouble at all and totally intact :woohoo:

We are going to have no trouble getting rid of the old cabinets, lots of people seem to have a use for them.

:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

Robin! Glad you got your sugar-high package! :rotfl2: Well, have some tea after the chocolate and cookies and marshmallow and calm yourself down. ;) Do you know how HARD it was for me to NOT buy any Reese's peanut butter ANYTHING?!?! I did not want to tempt you or cause any problems for Alex! ;) I did buy a wrapped bag of peanut butter eggs, and Kelly is eating them up like crazy! Better her than me! :rotfl:

Hey, are you coming to Chicago Monday?! :confused3 Please, please!!! :yay:

So far I've only been admiring all of that chocolate, not nibbling on it :smooth: I'm not a Reese's fan, so it's just as well that Kelly is enjoying them for me. ;)

As far as I know right now, I am still coming to Chicago Monday. I can't seem to get a straight answer of the when though :rolleyes2 I'll let you know just as soon as I know for sure what the plan is.

I'm looking forward to it, but ONLY if I get to see you.

 Hellooooo Threadkillers and Lurkers Alike

Robin, you're not talking to yourself...we'll be along eventually to pick up the conversation ;)

Hmmmm.......well, we'll work something out. :thumbsup2 Matt is working that night but I have other 'baby'sitters that can put Kelly to bed. ;)

How late are you staying on Tuesday? Probably not too late tho, since you'll be heading to Florida Via Canada first, right?! :sunny: :moped:

Can we get wings on that TK :moped: ??? :rotfl:

I'm sure hoping that we can work something out and get together even if for only a little while.

Tuesday I'm not sure of either. I know Rick said something about going for lunch with the guys he is there to meet. :confused3 I'm not sure what I will be doing while he is having his "visit". I might go along or stay at the hotel or go shopping or even just sit in the car and read a book. Dont' know for sure.

We would definitely be heading back as soon as possible on Tuesday. You are working Tuesday correct?

Yes you are right, sort of :rotfl: We are leaving for Florida by way of Canada by way of Detroit :rotfl2: on Saturday.

And I agree I think that moped needs some wings :rotfl2:

Yikes, I just realized that we better remember the time zone difference :p That might work in our favour though, since we will get to Chicago an hour earlier that it would be at home. :p

Kim, how far from your place is it to Bolingbrook?

So far that is where we are thinking of spending the night.

We will! ;) Time zone change in our favour, eh? <Both noted! :rotfl:
