My husband is not one for meeting new people either. He's changed a bit since he started his airplane flying though.

We don't socialize a lot either and I really have no friends besides you guys :goodvibes My closest friends would be my mother and my daughter, after that I don't really hang out with anyone.

We are not bar nor club people either and my husband hates crowds too. We eat out a lot though, he doesn't mind that :p

I have ladies I talk to on a weekly basis, like in dance class but I never see them outside of that situation.

I'm very glad too that I have you guys here to talk to. ::yes::

Guess that's what we all have in common.. we don't do bars or clubs..and large crowds are very uncomfortable...

My day was pretty boring actually.

I finished filling out our income tax forms. We get some refunds so I better get those out in the mail some time soon. I've been putting it off for quite awhile now.

I did some vehicle "shuffling" with Alex this morning because he needed to get something fixed on his volunteer ambulance groups ambulance. Oh yes, Alex went to do the road test this morning to get his license to drive an ambulance, which since he's going to be a paramedic, will probably be a useful item to have ;) He passed :cheer2: He took an actual ambulance to do his road test, I bet not too many people are able to do that :rotfl: So I had an ambulance parked in my driveway all night long last night, I was ready for any emergency that might come up :lmao:

The rest of the day I just spent around the house doing this and that and nothing really exciting.

Hi all,

Mary, Congrats on another class done!! I know it's hard to be working full time and trying to go to school. My hubby is currently do the same thing.

Thx, i am ready to finish this degree. not sure yet if i'll go on for masters or not. what about your hubby, what's he taking? as i mentioned, i only take one class at a time, so i am something of a career student. oh well... :teacher:
as far as our trip to WDW, it really was lots of fun. sue is the picture taker in the group, so perhaps she'll post a pic or two.

I did the same thing with my university degree.

I did the first two years full time and then switched majors and worked full time and did classes one at a time until I finished my university degree. Not that I've ever really used my degree for anything but I can still say that I have it ;)

i got back from karate tonight and i was fighting with 1 of my friends and we both kicked at the same time and our knees hit each other. he hit floor first! but he can walk i can't!

ttfn..

Colleen not back yet? :hourglass :lmao: JK... :teeth:

Well hubby is sound a sleep. He's so tired from flying today so I'm here lurking and reading the dis.

Congrats to Alex for getting his Ambulance license! :cheer2:

Betsy, I love fish!!!

Mary, I know the dis takes a lil getting used to.... :teeth: It seems you've figured it out though..

Hubby is going for his BA in Professional Aeronautics..... it requires alot of business management classes so I'm guessing it is kind of the same :confused3 but he is using alot of his credits from his military training too. He has about 6 more classes to finish. That may take forever though considering he can't take classes when he is deployed.

Robin, It's nice to be able to say you have a degree. I don't think mine will help me any but its nice to say I have one. Oh wait it is helping me, I dont have to take as many classes for my nursing license. :teeth:

U~ did you put ice on your knees? that might help

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

The college strike is over (sort of anyways). Both sides have agreed to a mediation/arbitration process that will get the teachers and the students back into the classrooms next week.

 :dancer:

I think both the kids are relieved that they will get back to finish their year.

Uh oh U, that doesn't sound so good. :sad2:

I agree with Cally. Ice it for a while. maybe some mild painkillers and a good nights rest.

If it doesn't feel a whole lot better tomorrow, maybe you better think about having a doctor look at it for you.

Colleen, are you home yet :confused3

You know I can't sleep until all the kiddos are home safely at night ;) :teeth:

:rotfl2:

Well, I'm home, 'Mom'! ;)

So, Colleen, ARE you home yet? :confused3

Get your sleep Robin. ;) Colleen is a consenting, responsible (?) adult. :duck:

:scratchin ...... Are you sure Kim ;)

I'm glad you were home safely last night Kim, so was I . It just means that we live boring lives :lmao:

I had been sleeping but something woke me up and I couldn't get back to sleep :sad2:

Good morning All

I finally caught up.....Miss a couple of days around here and you can have a bunch of reading to do....

Okay, so the Canada trip is now in Aug??? DH and I are still trying to decide on a good time to do a bike trip this year.....Aug is kindof hot down here what is the average temps up there?

Robin, :thumbsup2 love the stuff for your kitchen. Be careful with the walls, you already seem to have a lot of color with the counters, cabinets and flooring....ask the contractor if they have a decorator who may let you know what color she/he believes would be best with what you purchased. Also you want to paint when everything is removed.....Before install of new stuff, makes things much easier!!! Glad the strike is over.

Kim, I agree about the strike thing. Here in FL at least north Fl no unions for nurses. So no strikes.... They tried to get started and the Hospitals wouldn't have it and let the nureses go who joined.......I'm glad, I don't want to be involved in that mess..unions don't always make things better. :confused3

Betsy you need to post a new pic of the new you!!!

Cally, have fun on spring break. How far are you from the I-75 in south Ga? I'd love to meet with you someday halfway maybe? I'd love to meed your DH and kids too!!

Colleen, I enjoyed meeting you and your family too!! Glad to hear Brittany is having such a great time. Sorry we didn't run into her on our trip. Although we did run into a group of young adults and gave them our fast passes (7 of them) to Everest, because we already got on twice with not long of a wait.....They were thrilled because the lines had become longer and they were gonna walk right on... :Pinkbounc

Hi U hope your knee is okay... :yay:

Hi Mary and Ann, see you at dinner tonight!! :woohoo:

Yep I have the pics, but I haven't been able to get them from my new cameras site to the photobucket....help Colleen!!! :badpc:

Tinkerbell, glad to see you back, did you hear me and my sisters are going on the Cruise, are you and DH still going?

Well thats it for now.....Chat with you all later :grouphug:

Yes the Canada trip is now in August. We switched it due to schedule conflicts, meaning I really needed to practice my dancing before the dance recital :dancer: :lmao:

As to temperatures here in August, you never know what you might get :confused3 It could be 65º or it could be 105º, it's the luck of the draw. More likely it will be upper 70's to mid 80's.

Yes, we will definitely paint while the kitchen is empty, much, much easier to do that way. And we won't have to worry about the floor either since we are putting in a new one :)
