Give the books a chance, you might find you like them after all.

Hi Colleen, I'm glad that you all made it onboard safely.

Thanks for the report and enjoy the rest of your trip.

Hey tinknutt, I see you snuck in there while I wasn't looking.

All of our Christmasing is done for the year. Now I have to start thinking about vacation :teeth:

Ditto! Great report!!

 Everyone!!!

I'm sorry to say that whatever I did last week to my nerve, I did again last night. Just when I was getting a little strength back, I woke up this morning, and I'm back to where I was. I bought a wrist brace tonight, to use until I see or call the Dr. tomorrow. I really don't want an MRI! :guilty:

No long post from me. :sad2:

Robin, get PACKING! :moped: :boat: :cheer2:

Shoot Kim, that's too bad about your wrist:sad2:

I was hoping that you were well on the road to recovery. Let us know what the doctor says tomorrow.

Now that we've got all of our holiday celebrations over with, I can start to think about getting ready for vacation.

My MIL offered to feed the cats and the fish and take in the mail while we are gone. I said yes because she seemed so thrilled to be able to do it. Also giving her a reason to go out and do something is probably good for her. BUT that means that I will have to do a house cleaning before I leave :earboy2: Oh well, maybe it is the motivation that I need, since I hate to leave the house in a mess anyways.

 Robin!

I'll keep ya posted. ;)

Maybe if you left the house messy, she'd clean also? :confused3 :teeth: But, as much as I hate cleaning before I leave (among all the other things, like packing!), I really hate coming home to a messy house.

I can't type with the brace on (or w/o it for that matter  ) but I need to put it back on. My wrist is dropping all over the keyboard! :sad2:

Then I guess that you are going to become a very good one-handed typist.

Maybe you can learn to speedtype with just one finger :teeth:

I just hope that you can find out what's causing this soon and find a way to make it better.
Thanks, I do too.

And along that line, here's a few questions for all of you:

What kind of computer chair do you use?

With arms or not?

Executive or secretary? There IS a difference! Or, so I suspect, with the arms or not, and the height of the arms. :confused3

Just trying to figure this out. :confused3 Sorry.

Matt has a dentist appt tomorrow (where Kelly will probably have a tooth pulled as well  ), and I'll be calling my Dr. to ask about this recurrence, and Kelly is still coughing/congested 3+ weeks after the sinus infection and 2 weeks of antibiotics.   Did I  ? Nothing MAJOR, just time-consuming, frustrating. And Kelly's friend is spending Wed with us, while her Mom works, so that day is shot.

Really, Nothing major, just another day! ;) Thankfully I'm not working. :sunny:

I use a computer chair that I THINK is an executive chair not a secretary chair. It has arms, adjustable height, rocking or lockable. I find it incredibly comfortable to sit in. I can sit in it to watch tv, I think if it was the only chair I had to ever sit in, I'd be fine with it.

Now that being said, I use a small pillow between my "mousing" arm and the chairarm. I find that it gives my arm and wrist a bit more support and helps with my tendonitis. Also I think the chair is a touch too wide, which makes the arms too wide apart, so the pillow helps with that too.

Sounds like you are going to have a busy appointment week this week.

Can you tell me more about this pillow? :confused3 I WAS using an executive, armed chair, until tonight!, and I KNOW those arms are higher and wider (like you said) than my old, secretary chair. I THINK I have been 'resting' my elbow joint on the edge of the Executive chair arm while typing/mousing. Since I switched back, just a short time ago, my elbow is NOT resting anywhere. The arm of the chair is much lower, so my hand actually rests, when I'm not typing/mousing. UGH, what a pain! THANKS FOR ANSWERING AND HELPING! :goodvibes

The pillow that I use is approx 10 x 16 rectangle. I use it to support my elbow and most of my upper and lower arm.

I rest the pillow on the arm of the chair and then "favour" sitting closer to that side.

I suppose that you could try it with any pillow and see if it helps, you could even try a towel or small blanket folded up to see if it might work.

It would be worth a try.

You migth be on to something there with resting your elbow joint on something hard. That might be pressing on the nerve and causing your problem.

Honestly, Dr. Robin, you are The Best! :goodvibes Even if you don't know exactly, you surely provide some reassuring proof of what MIGHT be wrong. ;) While I will MISS my Executive chair greatly, WAH!, I might TRY the pillow idea after diagnosis/recovery, but I think for now I'm gonna try my old chair. ;)

My arm was getting lazy!

I'm just in a good before vacation mood so I'm leaving the weather alone :sunny: Actually almost all of the snow is melted off of our lawn here. There are still piles where it was shovelled or snowplowed but the rest of the world is peaking through.

Hmmmm. I'll be interested to read what you guys were up to while I was away :earboy2:

I want you all to give it a good try to break my threadcount record. I better make note of the page number when I leave because I'll probably have tons and tons of catching up to do. OR I'll find out that I'm the only "chatty" one around here and there will be NO catching up to do :rotfl2:

Morning Betsy.

Thanks for the vacation well wishes. I've got to clean up this house before then and get packing ;)

Sending some good wishes your way for Sultan Pepper :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

I hope they can figure out what ails him without breaking the bank
