tinknutt, I'm glad that your son made it home safely and that you had a very nice time together.

My mother in law called earlier today and said that she wanted to stop in for a minute. ummmmm, okay, I guess, (if I have to :rotfl: ).

She brought me over the shirt that she got for my brotherinlaws girlfriend for Christmas. It didn't fit her. Dianne has gained 35 pounds this past year (stopped smoking took up eating instead ;) ) and I have lost 30 pounds this year so she brought it to me. Okay, it's not too bad, Liz probably won't let me wear it because it's old ladyish.

Then MIL tells me that she has been shopping at the Goodwill store today and got some real bargains. She gives me this very lovely :faint: sweatshirt (some sort of teal/aqua colour) Someone has painted all of these big ugly flowers all over it. :earseek: She says, isn't this nice, I think it'll fit you and you can use it for your vacation. :confused3

I'm thinking......... ummmhuhhh, I don't think so. :earboy2:

I say........ That's a very interesting sweater, thank you so very much :smooth: Buh-bye now :rotfl:

I showed it to Liz and you should have seen the eyebrow raising it received. Oh well, at least my mil was thinking about me.

To my mil's credit she did give me a very nice sweatshirt for Christmas in a fuschia sort of colour, which everyone says is a good colour for me. I'm thinking it probably also came from the Goodwill store but it looks fairly new at least. :p

You are right at least she was thinking of you....but what was she thinking??? :confused3 :rotfl: :rotfl2:

Betsy, any news on S&P?

Well,..We still dont know much. :confused3 ..there are a few things that the vet thinks it could be.....She is sure its neurological....She is trying a thyroid med...we are going to try it for two weeks..and hope for improvement.....Im suppose to call her on the 3rd, with a report....and we go from there.....in the worse case we are talking tumor..if that... there is really nothing to be done.. :guilty: ........On a happy note ..he lreally enjoyed the french fries he got for being good :dog: ..That had always been his reward...his very own small fries..and a cup of water. He just LOVES window people :goodvibes .....fries at the fast food window ..and bones at the bank window :dog2: :teeth:

Anyway thats my day.....Hope you all had a good one!

I don't think that she thinks at all, she just says........ oh it's only 50 cents what a good bargain, Let's give it to Robin :rotfl2:

99 % of gifts I receive from my inlaws are from yard sale/thrift shop purchases.

It's not like they don't have the money to spend on real store bought gifts because they will never spend what they have.

Oh well, I just take the stuff and dispose of it later.

Every now and again she will find something good though, like a Mickey Mouse tin or something :teeth: So I never say no when someone offers me something.

Betsy, I hope the new medicine helps Sultan.

Around here at the Tim Horton's coffee store drive thru's they have donut holes for the dogs at the window. I know my brothers dog really likes to go there.

:dog2:

Good policy, but what about BPs McNuggets? :earseek: :rotfl:

 Hi Everyone! I'll TRY to catch up, reply-wise. I've been reading and keeping up, but replying is still hard. I finished the steroids today, and wear the brace almost all the time, except for typing, dishes and bathing. ;) It seems my wrist is stronger, until I go to type, and my hand just drops on the keyboard. Something with my radial nerve.

Betsy, {{HUGS}} Prayers and :wizard: for SP! I hope the new meds work, and quickly! :goodvibes

TN, sounds like you got quite a haul there! Merry belated Cmas! Enjoy your family! :grouphug:

Colleen! :boat: sounds wonderful! Thanks for the updates! Enjoy the rest of your time! :sunny:

uraken....How's things?

Ann, how's Tom feeling? Any bumps and/or bruises? :confused3

BP, Cally, TNKRBL, ophie & TZM ??? What's up?? :confused3

New Year's plans???? My family is Supposed to be coming here Friday night, to celebrate DS Matt's 18th BD (which is Sat), BUT I heard that my bros and Dad may have had a falling out today. They all work for the same company, and sometimes work together, which is not always the greatest idea. :sad2: I hope they won't ruin DSs celebration.

ON Sat., I may be going to youngest bros house, IF all is mended by then, and they have a gathering, as previously invited to. We'll see. Staying home is not a problem for me either! ;)

Today, Kelly had a friend over, while the Mom worked. It was great to have someone keep Kelly occupied while I made breakfast, cleaned a little, did some laundry, made lunch, baked cookies, made dinner and baked Matt's BD cake. (Cookies AND cake oughta bring BP out!) :rotfl:

Supposed to be ice skating Fri afternoon with Kelly and her Brownie troop. Hmmmm??? Guess I'll wait and see about that. :confused3 I can skate, but I wonder if I fall with a brace on? I'd like to skate tho. ::yes::

{{HUGS}} :grouphug: , Hellos  and P&PD :wizard: for everyone!

Me

 ME.

If they were offered I would take the McNuggets too. Doesn't mean that I would actually eat them though ;)

No New Years plans in this house. Probably just be home DISing as usual. Alex has a volunteer duty to do for a few hours.

Oh I forgot to tell you, Alex was offered the same job that he had last summer at the Summer Camp. He has to let them know for sure by March 1 but it's a pretty safe bet that he will be back up north again for the summer.

Then he might go straight from camp to live in the city where his girlfriend goes to school. So I guess I will be losing my baby come the early summer. He's 22, so I suppose it's time for him to get out there and get on with his life. ::yes::

Well, this ME is tired, so I'm off to try and get some sleep. Had trouble sleeping last night so hopefully tonight is better. I'm yawning pretty good right now.

Good night, threadkillers.

 :sad1: I feel your pain, Mom! ;) But agree, it's time. What about a FT job for Alex tho? Will he transfer, or have to find something new after camp? :confused3 Does Liz have plans for Alex's room yet? :rotfl: Do YOU??? :rotfl2: J/K Family :grouphug:

Nitey nite Robin. :cloud9: :cat:

Good Morning all -

I haven't had a chance to read the previous posts - I just wanted to drop by and say Hi!! since I got my 'puter back - :badpc: it had a crashed so we had to reboot the whole stinking thing - lost everything - thank goodness I had some sense to back up my photos on disc as well as keeping them on the web.

Hope everyone had a great Christmas and that Santa brought them all they asked for and much more. - Mine was good DH bought me a pair of diamond earrings - I was very excited about them have not taken them out since Christmas morning - DH got a new laptop - so now we each have our own (yes I took the old one that needed to be fixed) - no more arguing about who needs to use it and for what!! :rotfl2:

Hope the New Year finds everyone happy, healthy and hopefully a bit wiser!!

I'll check back later when I have had a chance to read the past and catch up!!

Take care TKer's - gotta motor - J

Alex will be looking for a full timejob for the fall. He will probably be moving to Ottawa which is about 8 hours or so away. I think he will be okay because he can apply to paramedic or nursing jobs and there is sure to be something that he can get into. He says that he would even work at McDonalds for a bit if necessary.

He will make a good amount of money over the summer and that will keep him for a month or even two while he finds a good full time job.

I just wish he wasn't going so far away :guilty:

Alex's room :scratchin........... oh yeah, we have plans for that :rotfl2: Liz doesn't want it even though it is a more workable room space. The rooms are the exact same size but Liz's room has closets cut into the room and Alex's doesn't so his has more floor space.

Liz said she'd have to redecorate so she will stay where she is.

I may move my computer upstairs into Alex's room :confused3 Time will tell I guess. :earboy2:

 TKERBELL, glad to see you and that you had a nice Christmas.

So did I :teeth:

We've been looking at Mini's on line and thinking about which car I might like to have :goodvibes

Just a quick note DH and DS are hogging the computer...car and motorcycle stuff, like dising isn't important :earseek:

Busy day hanging out with DS, will miss him when he leaves. So excuse me if I don't post often.

Betsy hope S&P is doing better. :wizard:

Kim, did you go back to the Dr? Tell DS Happy Birthday!! :bday: :cake:

Cruisin, any luck on the mini yet? :)

Hi Tkerbell, glad to hear from you. Nice.....diamond earrings!! :Pinkbounc Shiny things are always good.

Oz is OZ and your DH is not OZ........I meant no disrespect....if you took it that way...I do apologize.....

Are ya kiddin'? No WAY would I take that as disrespect.....we all know you're WAY too sweet! Just returned from WDW - catching up, but I had to post when I saw that....you're a sweetie pie, BrerPapa - never worry about that!

ZJO Threadkillers!

First off....Tom is MUCH better. No bumps or bruises, he's just sore. Thanks for all the P&PD!

Speaking of P&PD....Kim - I hope that wrist is better...did you tell the doc what a priority DISing is? If you want me to write her a note, I will - just let me know. Also more P&PD for DalPal and SultanPepper. I'm glad the french fries were a treat. Whenever I go to Burger King, I get a chicken sandwich and pick out pieces of chicken for Holly. I think she's pretty sure it' her sandwich anyway.

Robin - I could just see your face with that sweatshirt! It IS nice they think of you and you handled it well. You must be beside yourself with Joy over your upcoming trip!

TW - glad you checked in. Sounds like you're having a blast! Can't wait to see the pics! I'm with DalPal....didja book?

BrerPapa - you got a PUMPKIN BARBIE!? How cool is that? You were a good boy!

Speaking of good boys....today I got hugs and kisses from our oldest grandson.....melt your heart. There is nothing like the innocent kisses of children *sigh*. Of course, DH had to then teach him how to lick his finger and stick it in your ear - wasn't THAT fun?! Actually it was, cuz he got a case of the giggles everytime he did it!

Tkerbell - sounds like you had a great Christmas. Were you able to catch up? I fell behind about 10 pages - we can get chatty!

Uraken - hope you're enjoying your VMK!

Hiya Tinknutt! Here's wishing DH a Happy Birthday (I'll even add smilies for him!) :cheer2: Happy Birthday Tinknutt's DH! :cheer2:

Cally - you've been scarce since Roger returned....I wonder why?

Well, Epcot was SO crowded! We got there around 11-11:30 and immediately went to fast-pass Soarin'...they had already given out the fast passes for the entire DAY! Not only that, the line was 3 hours long every time we checked it! Test track was over 2 hours long every time we checked it.

We felt like Salmon swimming up-stream all day! With DH's shoulder hurting him - we didn't wait for the 9:30 show - we ended up leaving around 5:30 and found a REAL nice hotel off the beaten path and had a nice relaxing evening. We did have an awesome lunch at LeCellier and each other's company for the entire day - it was great!

However, DH said the next time I wanted to go to Disney, I'd have to take the sister's with me.....uh....okay! It's too bad that he doesn't want to try it again when it isn't peak season. Large crowds like that is his personal Kryptonite! Despite that, we had a nice time with each other!

Visiting DD, DSIL & DGS was great! We just played with DGS and opened Christmas presents and played some more. Then we went to Outback for dinner (another steak - 2 in 2 days!) and just got home!

Well, I better give the computer up and let DH catch up with his stuff - then we're headed for beddy-bye!

Take care ya'll and I missed you!

:earseek: :earseek: I think I've got lots of things to do before I can go away ;)

The van needs to go in for service tomorrow. Laundry, packing, shopping, cleaning to do.

I think I better get busy.

In these parts, we call that a "Wet Willy"! :rotfl: ALWAYS Funny! :rotfl2:

Ann, about that note................. ;)

 everyone!

 Kim

How goes the battle with the arm/hand :confused3

Any improvement today?

We went tonight to see some pictures from a relatives Alaskan cruise. Wow, does that ever look awesome. Pictures never do anything real justice and these pictures were so fantastic that I can't imagine what it must be like to actually be there.

An Alaskan cruise is definitely on our must do list.
