I have someone who owns a produce/seasonal store...who would like to see the wreaths I make with pineboughs..hes interested in me making a bunch for sale....So I went and got wire and ribbon and such.....now all I have to do is come up with pine boughs :rotfl: ...It raining out so..I guess Ill wait and hope tomorrow may be clearer....I hope so ...he would like to see them by this weekend... :earseek:

Thanks for the info Robin!
It all sounds like fun...Ill wait ,to make my ressies ....but not too long Id hate to have the price go up on us...as it is Im thinking a cat.6....dont need to make it even more costly... ;)

I will be booking my usual, lowest priced cabin that I can get ;) We always do that. We don't really care if we have a window or a verandah just as long as we are on the ship.

I will come and check out the verandah in your cabin, okay :earboy2:

Good luck with your wreaths. I'd love to see some when you get them done, make sure that you post us a picture or two. ::yes::

Going to watch a movie with Liz, see ya

OK...You will always be welcomed into our cabin........ ;)

Linking dining ressies is easy. Just have to tell DCL ahead of time who you are linked with. Maximum table size is 10 so make sure that you keep that in mind. If you link more people than that, you will all just be in a group of tables around eachother. We just had a whole big group of folks linked. It was 20 altogether. 10 at one table. 4 at another and 6 at another. We all had the same servers and such. We tended to sit at the same tables everynight during dinner but mingled around dessert time. It was lots of fun and easy to do. Maybe not for the servers though.

Tim,
Hi ...Are you and Sarah going on our cruise?....Is it better if everyone booked around the same time or does it matter?...

So far Im guessing we have Colleen, Robin, Me, Ann, Susan, and Swhnn, Kim,
I think we will be needing more then one table.... :teeth: Janet(TKB)..also I think...

When is this cruise again? During the cheap season right? It has to be for us to go for those dates. We have discussed it once or twice. You have spouses and children with all those people right? I bet some people would early dining and some would want late. You might want to check on that one.

Hi tzm

The date for the cruise so far is Jan 07, 2007, 4 day cruise.

Some of those people will have spouses and/or children and some will not.

I suppose that we would have to decide on a dining time that suits most people and go with that. If someone objects, they could always get themselves on the other seating.

Given the size of the group, you might end up with enough people that want both that you could split up. Thank you for the update on the date.

 Hi TKers!

Which time for dining makes no matter to me-I'm still leaning towards this being only hubby and me and surprising him with this trip. Are the cabins booked at double occupancy?

Ophie, expect it to be verrrry cold in Indiana this time of year. They usually have snow by now. :cold:

Our ressies had to be linked for this upcoming cruise by our travel agents with full names and ressies numbers.

Thanks for the link to the new navs Ophie :) I will be sharing the link with my fellow Christmas cruisers.

Oh, I didn't do it. SueEllen did.

Ayup, SNOW! My stepdadz family is from Indianapolis-they were always relaying the weather reports and I was always grateful that we didn't have their weather.

Goodmorning All

Can't chat again....gotta go to work :cool1:

Ophie I will get back on tonight around 8:30 so we can discuss Thur. still want to meet!!

Chat later :grouphug:

Good Morning all!

As far as I can figure...Most will have spouses/SO...I dont think to many will have children...The only one I can think of with children coming was TKB...Kim has said that hers wont be coming(school)....I cant think of any more... :confused3

I dont really care which seating myself....but if we end up kiddless..wouldnt the sec.one be better?....

My DH said to go ahead and book anytime :cheer2: ...So let me know when..and Ill go ahead and book our room....Do you have to book as a group to get a group rate?...Can you get a group rate?....Ill have to look into this...

Ill BRB... :teeth:

Morning Betsy.

Just a quick post because I have to go.

I just got done exercising. I got on the scales this morning and said ohoh, that's it. Time to blow the dust off of Richard Simmons :rotfl2: I haven't gone up much but I want to keep it under control

Now to have breakfast, shower, go to work, take the car for an oil change, Liz to dance class and the chiropractor, that is all the is confirmed on the schedule but I'm sure more things will come up.

I'll drop in later to see what's happening. Let us know what you find out about the cruise. :goodvibes

OK...
I think I have some info...It was so hard to understand the CM....But I think I have it.....

In order to book a group rate...we would have to book at least 8 staterooms(It will be close but, Im not sure we will be)...

She said our sailing date would be on the wonder..and they have room for a group on this sailing..
A group rate for our dates will be $50.00 off per stateroom......not alot....but you do get amenites..a 1 hr. reception for our party....1 wine or champaine(or non alc.) w/choc covered strawberrys and truffels per stateroom and a memory box per stateroom with a photoframe..etc. :confused3

She did say that if we are going to do this...to use a agency..because everyone can book through it on there own and the agency will put us all together as a group...otherwise one person has to do it all and thats alot of responsibility...She also said they most of the time give better or more amenites...BUT...She said to call around to get the best deal...because they all offer different deals......

She gave me prices per person(not including taxes, and other charges...ie: ground trans.and ins.), but that is without the discount so its the same as online...for cat.11...562.63per person..then you take off 25.00 per person(537.63 per)....or if more in the stateroom then two...take off 50.00 per stateroom cost and divide by as many people...Did that make sense? :teeth:
Isnt it the third person in a stateroom alot less then the first two? :confused3
So that is the results of my research...

BUT!

:3dglasses
Guests booked on cruises that sail on or after December 28, 2006 must carry valid passports for each member of their travel party when entering or returning to the United States from the Caribbean (including The Bahamas) and Mexico, and must provide Disney Cruise Line® with passport numbers 75 days before their vacation starts.

I just saw this.....interesting..Ill have to get mine updated The last time I got a passport I was 17 :teeth: ...I guess I wont look the same

OK... I just got off the phone with a CM again....
she gave me a sample cat. 6....
first and sec. person in a room ...861.63.each.(reg rate)...3rd and 4th in room right now would be 481.63..each(reg. rate)...this is with the trip ins..
I think Trip Ins. is about 118.00 ..

Do you seasoned(Tim, Robin?) cruisers do the Trip Ins?....I never do for my other trips...but Im not sure if I should with the cruise...

Also ..she said to book ASAP(esp. for a group)...because they are starting to go fast and the price is sure to go up if they start booking up..

Also She recommended to NOT do a Group rate ... :confused3 ..

You got it. I'll be around tonight. :teeth:

Betsy to answer your trip insurance question.... we do NOT get trip insurance when we travel. As far as I can tell trip insurance only covers a major disaster like if someone dies or something, as far as cancelling your cruise. Also, you can cancel without penalty for quite some time before the departure date with the amount refunded getting smaller the closer you get to the cruise date.

We already have out of country medical coverage through our benefits plan at work, so we don't require the medical coverage portion of trip insurance.

It all depends on your comfort level. If you are comfortable with the thought that you might lose the money you have paid for your cruise then don't get the insurance. So far we have been lucky, someday it might catch up to us. If I were taking a really expensive vacation (several thousands of dollars) then I would probably think about the travel insurance.

Hey all  - Just stopping by for a quick minute before I go and start my afternoon errands - :moped:

Ok DH & I are interested in the cruise w/o kids - so dining makes no matter to us -

Just lead me to what I need to do and who I need to contact to book......sounds like it's gonna be a blast - looking forward to it

I will try to check in later today if not tomorrow...
Later TKer's

Janet (TKB)

Robin,
I have been doing this all day...and every time I call to check on prices.(whoever I call I get the same price)..the room I have choosen is not avilable anymore.. .. :earseek: ...this has happened three times...Are they really going that fast...???Im being moved farther down the ship each time(started in the center)..

I just got done talking to a expedia.com rep...and I got the room I want reserved until Fri.(same price and 15.00 booking fee waived)..

Im not going to get the Ins. either...118.00 is alot..and I think my home owners ins.might cover it.
