Actually he does avoid eye contact.. What does that mean? Esp, when you call him or say his name..it's like he doesn't hear you...

Sent a PM in reguards to this. Just some things to look for but by no means a diagnosis, I am not in the medical field. Just experienced.

I've got a parenting questions for you guys. Cora sleeps quite soundly, and doesn't wake up to go to the bathroom. We have been making her wear pull-ups to bed. She hasn't had an "accident" during the day for over a year. (she turned 5 the end of Dec., just for reference). My mother and DH think it's an issue, I think she's just not ready. She goes for a well=child visit in June.
Do you think I should be concerned?

Of course you're concerned, it's your sleeping beauty. I only mention the following because it happened to my husband's niece AND nephew, so it's not advice, just brief notes on a possible medical condition. So anyway, they both had a shortened body part, not sure if it's the same 'name' on boys and girls, but it serves the same function, and what happens is that the bladder isn't able to expel ALL the urine when they go, so it fills faster/more frequently, and then they have 'accidents', especially/usually during sleep. That is SOOOO brief, but something you might want to ask your Ped. Glad you've got an appt. already. Best wishes with that, and keep us posted.

Robin, hubby has a shotgun and pistol, Dad has a shotgun. I hate guns. The ammo is kept seperately from the weapons. I've asked them to get rid of them but this is one request they do not honor for me

TN, The shop has been pretty busy. We are stuck in contract limbo...we can't build until the lease is signed and the landlord and boss are having problems coming up with an agreement. We intend to move into an empty grocery store and build a climing gym and skatepark and internet cafe to go with the retail and now it looks like it could be next year before it happens.

SW, I agree with Cally. Limit the fluid intake and insist she go before she gets too tired and like Robin said-talk to the Ped anyway. It never hurts to ask.

I dye my roots and leave my grey highlights at the bottom. My hair is too thick and full, I usually need two boxes of hair dye if I want to do the whole head.

Kim, Airtran and Southwest have been my best deals to date. I use the search engine Travelzoo on Yahoo.

Hubby and I have gone out to breakfast two days in a row! He also took me to the home show in Ft Washington yesterday. It's been cold here but sunny

Hello everyone!!

It was so nice to sleep in this morning! And on top of that it was raining cats and dogs. It's still raining and is suppose to rain all night long. We're just hanging out at the house.

Today is laundry day and for some strange reason I have more then usual to do. Oh well I'm finally making a dent in it. Gotta do the linens too

We decided for dinner tonight we're gonna have breakfast! Hubby wants steak, eggs, and biscuits. I'll make pancakes for the kids and sausages.

Robin, that would of been a great pic of the cat!

Colleen, ok ok I lied.. that was the second white hair I found. Won't be long til they start coming in packs.

Tinknutt, I was watching 20/20 lastnight and they were rating coffee. Starbucks was rated pretty high. I'm thinking it was number one but I'm not sure. Enjoy your starbucks!

Holy Cow! I think I had a gazillion pages to catch up on! I've been busy this week and had a WONDERFUL day today!

A while ago, DH said he was going to get me a new car for my b'day...well, he knew I wanted a Honda Element....guess what I got today? Yep...A Honda Element! It's black on black with black interior.

Tons-o-fun to drive...I knew that before we bought today...Tinknutt has an orange element! So, we have matching cars!

It's six months til my b'day...quite a surprise that DH bought it today, but who am I to question his logic or complain....right!?! I wonder what he has in mind or wants?

I hope I can remember everything....

First off BoB - I hope you're feeling better. That's quite an epidemic going on. Stay well!

BP - Thank you for the toilet-paper message.....The answer to your question is "nutty coconut". Thank you for asking! BTW, how are you doing with your mall mishap? How's PA? Give her my best....I think of her often!

Robin - I do not carry a gun, but like Tinknutt said - I used to be a competitive pistol shooter and fairly accurate! I can't imagine using one for self-defense - and hope I never have to! It's more like a sporting accessory....much like a tennis racket or a baseball glove. However, you've got to respect a pistol more than a baseball glove.

DalPal - your puppy is adorable! DD has a schnauser - he's a cute mutt with absolutely NO listening skills, but is so loving he can get away with it!

Cally - hope your doing well with Elijah. Sounds like you have your hands full. I agree with the rest of the threadkiller team - he's lucky to have you! Thanks for posting the new pic of your boys!

Uraken - hope you're doing well. Sorry you had to go to a funeral....they are tough to attend. Glad you had a good meal at the hotel!

SW33 - I was very surprised with survivor! Sad to see Ruth-Marie voted off. I was hoping the other tribe would have the problem!

DH and I are heading to California next month to visit our grandbabies - we bought the best deal they had when we thought about booking and decided not to look back. Thanks to everyone for their comment in reference to "sleeping beauty" wetting the bed. (better be careful, don't want to start any rumors about Aurora.) I'm gonna ask Dr when we see him at her regular appt. I'll tyr harder to limit her liquids after supper, she does drink alot of water throughout the day but come 6:00, I think I'll give her so much and tell her that's it for the evening.
DD and I went to see Curious George this evening. It was ok. I would have preferred something else but we went with friends and that's what they wanted to see. We'll go another time and maybe see Nanny McPhee. Cora LOVES Mary Poppins so I think she would like that too.
Cally, I have been coloring my hair off and on for the last 3 yrs. My sister is a hairdresser and told me start doing it now so when I start getting gray hair, noone will know because my hair will be colored. I'm not very good at keeping it colored though...I'm VERY LOW maintenance. I figure they're signs of wisdom....uh oh.....I don't have any!!!(YET!!!!)

Sunny - I had the same problem your sleeping beauty had - except it lasted a bit longer. One day - it just stopped! Don't know why....but I'm glad it finally did! Kudos to you for keeping your "mommy eye" on it without making it too much of an issue for her. Best of luck and keep us posted! Sorry I didn't reply to that part earlier....
