We were supposed to leave around 8:30 -9 tomorrow but...

I found out last night that DSs girlfriend thought we were leaving Sunday and was scheduled to work...I don't think so-

soooo, I'm waiting to hear how she fixes this issue then I'll know what time for real.

It's only a six hour drive and hubby usually drives the whole way.

:bday: Happy Birthday Harry! :bday:

Hi Cally, I hope Roger has a great birthday. Do you have any special plans?

 Robin

Thank you for the birthday wishes! No real plans today. Roger is at work and has only requested a "low country boil" for his birthday dinner. We will also have a birthday cake. :p

Mmmmmm...I loooove southern cooking

Gimme Jambalaya anyday :teeth:

I put funfetti cake mix on our grocery list for Britt

~This way I have it and can make it Saturday night~

With twelve people coming I'll think I'll make two cakes ;)

What is a low country boil????

Never heard of that before :confused3

Colleen, I hope that you can leave as originally planned. What time was she supposed to work, I suppose late afternoon/early evening

Liz and I discussed today the fact that if she gets into college for the fall that she will not be able to come with us on the cruise in January. She would miss a week and a half of school, so that will probably be too much. :sad2:

She agrees with that, so we will wait and see. We have until October 25 to make our final payments and changes without penalty (although our cruise is paid for already).

I would recommend that if she weren't the boss...

She opted to open the store (she's an asst manager at CVS.)
I think she'll be ok and find a replacement, she knows how serious I am about leaving in the morning.

If she's the boss, she should be able to ;)

Funfetti cake sounds ... Fun :cheer2:  :cheer2:

12 People?? Yea, better make two cakes :p

We are having an ice cream cake for Roger! He loves ice cream cake. For DeVaughn's birthday we found a cake at Publix that had whipped cream icing! It was soooooooooooooooooo good because I don't usually like the cake frosting because it is so sweet. But this whipped cream icing was to die for!! :faint:

When do you go grocery shopping?

A low country boil is when you boil a whole bunch of foods together...mostly seafood and you throw in a cajun seasoning or crab seasoning...

We boil sausage, corn on the cob, shrimp, cabbage, potatoes...It is so yummy!! Some people add crawfish but I don't like crawfish :crazy2:

Here in the south when we have big gatherings we do a BIG low country boil and spread it on the table for people to eat...It's lots of fun :cheer2:

I'm not a seafood eater but the one picture does look pretty good.

I like the sausage, corn on the cob, potatoes, cabbage part of it ::yes::

One pot cooking, always easy and less mess to clean up.

It is very easy clean up and very filling! ;)

I'd definitely like your boil Cally!

I'm turned off by crawfish :blech:

Britt just IM'd me, Cate got her schedule fixed :cheer2: Yay!

We have a bakery here that specializes in whipped cream icing and they add pudding in between the cake layers...Mmmmmmmmmmmm. Yummy!

The funfetti has colored sprinkles to mix into the batter and polka dots the inside...pretty cool huh?!

My Mom has the audio HBP book

She's gonna pass it on to me when she's done with it.

Mom's on her way to FL tomorrow. Spending two days in Orlando and then going to her roller skating-Figures/Dance National competition in Pensacola for a week.

She's driving down and taking HBP with her so I'll get it when she gets back.

Robin,
So sorry to hear about your cat.....I use to give cats meds when I worked for project paws....I could tell you how.....

Get a towel and wrap the cat with the ends overlapping on the cats back...head sticking out.....this will keep the cat from scratching you.....

Now as you are holding the cats head...take your index finger and your thumb...and put preasure on each side of the jaw line...until the cat opens its mouth....push the pill into the cheek area(the pocket between the outer cheek and the teeth) of the mouth...close the mouth and hold it closed...and rub the throat....the cat WILL swallow..it has no choice...and the pill will go down with the swallow....
This should work for you...please let me know if it did....
I hope your cat feels better soon! :wizard:
:wave2: Betsy
Hey that's some useful information!!

Robin, let us know if you try it.
