Who feels like a Thread-Killer? Part 5

I've just arrived Kim.

We got home about 45 minutes ago.

Extremely tired, it was a long trip, the weather was bad for the last few hours of the trip. It poured so hard you couldn't see hardly at all. It is very hard on the nerves to drive in that stuff.

We saw a really horrible accident on the other side of the highway. :sad2: From the looks of it, whoever was in that vehicle didn't make it out alive. So very sad.

On the other hand we were treated to a fantastic "light" show. There was continous lightening for the last 3 hours of the trip. A lot of what we here call "heat lightening" or "sheet lightening" and also some bolts of lightening included.

ophie & BP, I have completed 29 chapters , saving the final one for tomorrow, or later tonight maybe. I hate when they end. :sad1: ophie, question for you....Has there ever been (and I think there must have been) talk that JKR's characters are somewhat Star Wars-ish? i.e. Dumbledore = Obi Wan, Harry = Luke, Voldemort = Darth, Ron = Han Solo, Hermoine = Leia, Death eaters = Stormtroopers, etc? Just wondering. :confused3 I certainly can't be the first one to think this. ;) As always tho, I just LOVE reading about Harry!! :lovestruc
Yes... there has been that talk. But even JKR has said that we, the readers, try to compare too much. Her stories stand independently of the other popular series that are out right now.

And tarzanman... stop asking me questions to which you already know the answer! :goodvibes Btw... I like your new countdown. :rolleyes1

ophie - i just like to be sure. i don't want to assume anything ya know. good night all. :)

Welcome home Robin! I am glad you made it home safe! That weather sounds scary and I know how it is to drive in it. :faint:

Did you have a nice visit with Alex? Hope so!

Glad you're back Robin! In one piece too, given those last few hours. If it had been me, and it has in the past, I'd have pulled off and waited it out. No sense risking my kid's safety over time, eh? <noted ;)

That just shows how dim-witted I am :rolleyes2 , I didn't 'see it' until maybe chapter 25 in THIS book, and never recall thinking it before. :confused3 As Elmo would say, "I'm sooooooo embarrassed". :rotfl:

Hmmmm, :scratchin I don't think that 'tackling' the bird is what my parents had in mind. :rotfl: Already this bird has displayed it's loneliness, I kid you not. :rolleyes2 DD & I were in the very next room, having left the TV on for the bird , and it starts chirping LOUDLY. I stepped into the doorway, it quiets down almost entirely. I step into the kitchen again, LOUD chirping again. It's pretty funny. :rotfl: It seems to know it's own bedtime too. :confused3 They usually cover the cage at 8pm, and I decided upon 9, when DD goes to bed, and from 8-9 I thought the thing WAS asleep, it was so quiet. :teeth: I understand it also serves as a useful 8am alarm clock tho, too. :p
:rotfl: You're not going to tackle the bird? :confused3 I must say ..that's a very smart bird!

When Dad dropped the bird off today, we was sporting a new vehicle. A Chevy 'Uplander' I think. Never heard of it before today. :confused3 It's nice, but it has some features that I, personally, would not like. :rolleyes2 To each their own.

I am not sure what an Uplander is. I have probably seen one driving around but don't know what it is. But a new vehicle is always nice!

No Way!!! The thing creeps me out when it's out of it's cage. I told DD that if it got out (which would definately be HER fault), that she'd have to get it back in the cage while I wait outside. :rolleyes1

We had a nice weekend.

I will tell you all about it and maybe post a few pictures tomorrow.

Right now I'm going to bed.

:wave2:
