Kim & Robin~ no wonder my ears were burning... I knew you would bring up the pool pictures sooner or later. I haven't taken any yet but maybe I will today... It's so hot out and the boys are all ready asking to go swimming.

Isn't it funny when the pool water is so warm. You think you can cool down in the pool but when you get in it's WARMMMMMMM

I haven't seen Racing Stripes.

I forgot who was saying yesterday about having one of those new Golden Anniversary Mickey Antenna toppers.......... well, guess what .... I own one, thanks to Kim It's so cool too.

Did you think that Liz and I had a "funny" accent????

I didn't think that your family did. There were certain things that sounded just a bit different but nothing that really jumped out at me as being so different from the way people around here speak.

I was saying I had a Golden Anniversary Mickey Antenna topper, but when I pilled the sticker off it last night some of the decal came off too.... ..Oh well....Ill just turn it so you can only see the writing.....

I got my countdown timer! Only 153 days!

We're visiting John's aunt in Melbourne first, then cruisin, then we're at SOG for two more days...Yay!

I'm trying to think of something good to do at WDW for NYE...

I hear the parks are rediculously crowded, PI has a 21 and over "hard ticket" that night -so the girls can't go (it's my Mom's fav), but the girls could do DQ and told me they'd be happy going there that night.

Any ideas TKers?

Colleen, yes unfortunately we are definately not going to PA. Oh well maybe we'll make it up there next year.


Aren't we silly buying those floating devices for the pool! We definately got our money's worth out of that thing.

The grass is filling in nicely. Finally and we go and ruin it with a pool.

I'd say that pool is worth the cost of a little grass.

I got my order in with hubby for some pool floaters for our upcoming trip.

We'll use them for two weeks and whatever survives vacation will go home with Rose. She has an above ground pool at her house. Obviously with eight teenagers, some of the floats won't make it home


Give me a holler whenever you plan on coming up this way, we could meet at Cracker Barrel!

I just had this crazy craving for corn fritters. I never made them before but my mom use to make them when we were little. So I looked up a recipe and now I'm making corn fritters!! But the recipe says Canadian Style Corn Fritters. They are still yummy though.

I never had apple fritters before but they sound yummy too.

I like both but actually prefer the apple...

My Mom bought the boxed ones, I've never "made" them.

I ask you to share the recipe but you and I both know I'd probably never make them

Oh cool... experimenting is always fun! Esp on family..

I'm making the corn fritters now. They are pretty good. May need a little more salt though. They tasted kind of bland. But if you like them sweeter you can add some sugar. I made half of the bowl regular and now I added sugar to the other half of what was left...and they are coming out pretty good. I'm not sure how much sugar I added though.. maybe 1/3 cup. I just sprinkled some in...But they are good.


Oh yea and that batch makes alot!!!!
